Welcome to Teach School Sport At teachschoolsport we understand the reality of school life. Our teachers and coaches have been involved in physical education (PE) and sport in schools for many years. Schools genuinely want to offer children the best chance to develop their physical literacy at the same time as participating in and enjoying various sporting opportunities. More often than not, our BIG emotions are perceived as ‘illnesses’ or ‘problems’ rather than normal responses to our individual life circumstances. Through our work, Think Well Be Well™ want to help children and their key adults to develop more awareness of how they feel and be comfortable with whatever that might be. It is ok to feel sad, angry, scared, anxious, guilty, shame, love, joy etc. Emotions are an intrinsic part of being human and it’s central for our wellbeing to be able to recognise and express them without being judged or criticised by ourselves or others. Not acknowledging or expressing our emotions won’t make them go away, but might actually lead to the development of mental health challenges and physical symptoms. Making friends with our emotions, and learning to regulate BIG emotions, helps us to start living the lives we want to be living.

Bees pollinate about a third of everything we eat and play a vital role in sustaining our ecosystems. More than 3/4 of crops grown for human consumption need to be pollinated by bees and honeybees account for 80% of all insect pollination.These include most fruits and vegetables, many nuts, and plants such as rapeseed that are turned into oil, as well as cocoa beans, coffee and tea. And it’s not only food crops but fodder crops for livestock and crops such as cotton that rely on bee pollination as well. In economic terms, honybee pollination could be worth as much as £200m to the UK alone and $170bn globally. But no monetary value can be put on the contribution bees make to ecosystems around the world or on our relationship with them which goes back for thousands of years. Honeybee and other insect pollinators face a series of natural and man-made threats. Without the work of commercial, and in particular amateur, beekeepers, their very survival could be in jeopardy. Everyone - including you - can play a part to help bees flourish.

Founded in 2014, The Bar Choral Society is a non-audition choir based in Temple with singers drawn from across the legal system. In addition to judges, barristers and pupils, members include solicitors, trainees, students, those who work in Chambers, the Inns, and their families. The Society is honoured that the distinguished and much performed choral composer John Rutter CBE is our President. The choir gives approximately two concerts per year with professional soloists and orchestras – performing everything from Gabrieli to Gershwin, Byrd to Bernstein. We also branch out of Temple from time to time: we recently performed a joint concert with The Parliament Choir at St. John’s, Smith Square to mark Vaughan-Williams’ 150th anniversary. Led by our Music Director, Greg Morris, our friendly Monday evening rehearsals take place in Temple Church from 6.15 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. The choir’s activities are supported through member subscriptions. Since 2017, SF Innovations has worked to promote technologies and products which protect the environment and build resilience to climate change. These range from the use of Haybox Thermal Cookers to reduce the use of fossil fuels during cooking to harnessing Solar Power. PROJECTS In 2018 we launched a project with the EMACE Foundation of Sri Lanka to manufacture and supply 50 each of Solar and Haybox Cookers to low income families. SF provided all the funding while EMACE organised the manufacture of the cookers locally, identified suitable recipients and provided training and literature. In 2019 we went out to work with local charities. Over the last 5 years we have used talks and workshops to promote various energy saving technologies. Some of these have been in association with the Environment Centre at St. Nicks, York and others at various festivals - Green Gathering, Radical Bakers and Festival of Thrift to name a few. Over lockdown, we have used Zoom workshops to reach hundreds of attendees around the UK as well as worldwide.

I'm Angela and I have always loved flowers and plants, not to mention hosting and styling parties. I recently decided it was time to get back to work following the births of our two lovely daughters, Elena and Mila. Coming from an advertising background, I have always been surrounded by a pantone book and the creative folk that go with it, which I love. As much as I love marketing and advertising, I simply love designing flowers more. I signed up to do a floristry course and soon realised....this was it! Now as glamourous as it may sound washing out buckets has become my favourite pass time. There are a lot of 5am trips to the flower market and a fair bit of manual labour with each stem scrutinised and prepared to ensure it lasts as long as possible...and I love it all. I wouldn't change it for anything. I love bringing a wedding to life and brightening up someone's day with a little bouquet of love and sunshine! I feel privileged to be living my dream.
