The Carbon Landscape is a diverse landscape of water, fen, wet grassland, wet woodland and lowland raised bog with a rich natural environment woven into its industrial heritage. It boasts rare wildlife like willow tits, bitterns, great crested newts, water voles, bog mosses and black-necked grebes. The Carbon Landscape has a variety of wetlands. Plan your visit. It has different designations and declarations ranging from the internationally important Special Area for Conservation (SAC), nationally important (Sites of Special Scientific Interest), National Nature Reserves, Local Nature Reserves, Sites of Biological Interest (Greater Manchester Ecology Unit) to local wildlife corridors and stepping stones that people regularly enjoy. Working with fourteen delivery partners the Carbon Landscape encompasses sites across the Flashes of Wigan and Leigh National Nature Reserve with SSSI designation at Ince Moss and Abram Flashes Mosslands of Wigan, Salford and Warrington proposed National Nature Reserve including parts of remnant lowland raised bogs with SAC designation at Risley, Holcroft and Bedford and Astley Mosses. Mersey Wetlands Corridor stretching from where the Irwell meets the Manchester Ship Canal, including Woolston Eyes (SAC), Rixton (SAC) and Paddington Meadows in Warrington. The Carbon Landscape is the flagship programme of the Great Manchester Wetlands Partnership. Our wildlife is connected through habitat restoration, access improvements and capacity building within our local communities. In this way nature and local custodians come together to enable a resilient post-industrial landscape on the doorsteps of two million people.

"Limara quickly got me on a program to help me lose the excess pounds, but also designed to help me tone up and build strength. She also helped me with my nutrition, making sure I was fueling my body correctly, increasing the benefits of the exercise. We’ve now been working together for almost two years. In that time Limara has always kept things fresh, teaching me new exercises and techniques but changing them up when she knows I have them mastered. She has always shown great patience, never getting frustrated if I struggle to grasp something immediately." 'm a REPS Level 3 Personal Trainer with Pre and Post Natal Certification. I've been a PT since 2014 and offer Personal Training Sessions and more in the Bristol area. My Ethos Ever since I qualified as a Personal Trainer, I have wanted to bring the best out of people when it comes to health and fitness. To enable clients to do that, I listen to what their aims are and then I help them realise their potential by finding exercises they enjoy doing, by teaching safe training methods and educating them on the best ways to achieve their goals. I have a holistic approach and look at all aspects of training including aerobic fitness, functional strength training, balance and stretching. Teaching a variety of different techniques keeps things interesting for my clients and brings all-round health benefits. Not everyone can look like a fitness model but I truly believe everyone should experience the benefits, both physical and mental, of regular training; it’s the best way of living a long and healthy life and improving general well being.

My adventure with massage started when, just out of curiosity, I took an Introduction to Massage Course in the School of Holistic Therapy, in Edinburgh at the end of 2015. To my big surprise, at the end of the course the principal tutor asked me if I’d like to take a Diploma course in Holistic Therapeutic Massage, since she liked the way I worked. I was able to start straight away, and what a great 10 months they were. I loved it, always looking forward till the next course weekend. I learned a lot of massage pain-relieving techniques (including myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques and stretching) as well as lots of anatomy, physiology and pathology. I also learnt a great deal about myself and the importance of listening and recognising not only physical but also emotional state of people we work with. If I had never got to work doing massage I would always be grateful for the opportunity to do this course. My only regret is that I didn’t do it earlier. It would have helped me a lot in difficult times which preceded my massage adventure. That was only the beginning. After taking my final exams, Simonetta, the principal tutor, offered me a job of a Teaching Assistant in her school and I’ve been working for her ever since. The more I learnt, the more I realised how much more there is to know. Hence my next step was Advanced Myofascial Release – in the same school. I find working with fascia (a connective tissue) really enjoyable. This kind of work is incredibly effective, not only on a physical but also an emotional level, and it’s definitely the kind of work I want to specialise in.
