It happened that he shared the office at SHU with Dr Stephen May the author of McKenzie Text Books and a remarkable researcher, in a cloudy morning in the winter of 2006 at the Cafe area in Robert Winston Building of SHU ,Mahmoud has invited Dr May to visit Cairo-Egypt to present a short introductory workshop to the McKenzie concept. the rest is history. Between 2006 to 2011 Primephysio collaborated with McKenzie Institute International, International Bobath Tutor Training Association, Orthopaedic Medicine Belgium, British Bobath tutors association , Mulligan tutors association to run many training courses in Cairo - Egypt and Amman-Jordan and Sheffield.UK.This was stage one. Stage 2 started in 2011. I’VE BEEN IN YOUR SHOES…. ..and ever since I’ve been on a crusade to support successful but unfulfilled mid-life professionals to find a way out of what it is they think they SHOULD be sticking with to finding a new working life chapter that fills them with joy. I spent over 20 years working in senior PR and Communication corporate roles working with some of the most famous luxury brands in the world. For many years and for the most part I loved it - I got to travel the world, meet interesting people, work on exciting projects and felt like I was ‘lucky’ to work with such companies. I moved into my forties, had my second child and as I moved into a different ‘phase’ of my life the landscape just didn't look the same any more. Don’t get me wrong there were still parts that I loved (which makes it even harder to make a change, I know and understand this…) but the corporate landscape just didn't work for me anymore. I worked long hours and travelled, hardly seeing my children except for weekends. The juggle between family life and a busy career started to take its toll (that feeling of not feeling like you are doing anything well) and of course I never had any time to take care of myself, that was definitely last on the list. Finally deep down I knew I wanted to do something different, which if you are reading this is likely to be where you are now. It was not an easy decision to make, I know that it can also feel like you are leaving a life and part of you behind. However with the help of a coach I knew it was time for a change and a new challenge that gave me the flexibility and autonomy that I craved. I retrained with The Coaching Academy the UK’s leading coaching organisation which is ICF accredited. I now work as a Career and Personal Performance Coach and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner. I am a graduate in Psychology, a member of the British Psychological Society and a licensed Firework Career Coach.

I have been practising yoga since 2001 and Qigong since 2017. My practice includes pranayama, yoga nidra, seasonal flow, vinyasa flow, yin and qigong. All practices have influenced my physical, emotional and mental wellbeing and have been life changing. I am passionate about creating opportunities for others to experience the benefits yoga and qigong can bring. My journey has been strongly influenced by the instruction and support I have received from the teachers who have inspired me and whose encouragement ultimately led me to train as a teacher. My teaching journey started with teaching children yoga; having always enjoyed working with children and holding a firm belief in making things better and easier for them, it seemed natural to combine two of my passions – yoga and children. If only I had known then how simple breathing activities could help calm my mind and balancing as a tree could help focus my mind…..perhaps exams wouldn’t have been so stressful and bullying not been so distressing. I now teach all age groups from babies to teens and adults, including children with additional needs. My classes are influenced by the styles of yoga I have practised over the years and the teachers who have inspired me. I teach from the heart and with a sense of humour. I believe yoga is creative, fun and educational, suitable for all ages and capabilities. Yoga gives us the understanding and practical applications to be the best people we can be and to live by our values; it is an honour to have this practice in my life. I am a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher, completing my 200 hours with Seasonal Yoga Academy in Glasgow. I trained with Birthlight to teach babies and toddlers, and holds certifications in children’s yoga with Breathe and Be You, and yoga for additional needs, completed with Special Yoga. A huge thank you to all my incredible teachers who have inspired me, encouraged me and taught me. We are proud of our school; it has a very long heritage and a very bright future. The foundation of our school is an old one. We are the only secondary school, in the United Kingdom, to bear the name of King Charles I. Although he gave us our charter in 1636, the foundation was established by Thomas Blount, esq., Lord of the Manor of Kidderminster, some 70 years earlier. A document dated 1609 describes the origins of the school. Various lands acquired by the Parish Church of St. Mary and All Saints as investments were confiscated by the State during the Protestant Reformation and early in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, Roger Maunsell of Pedmore purchased them. He levied penal rents and following an appeal from the tenants to the Lord of the Manor, Thomas Blount bought the lands and arranged in 1566 that the rents should be used to endow a free grammar school in Kidderminster “for the instruction of youth in good letters and manners”. In the 1630s an inquiry was held into the administration of the endowments and as a result of this the charter was granted by King Charles I in 1636. This charter which was part of one given to the town, laid down the manner in which the school should be run and lasted over 200 years. From 1566 to 1848 the School was carried out in the Chantry of the Parish church of St Mary and All Saints although it was not a chantry school. In 1848 the school moved to the site known as Woodfield on Bewdley Road. In the mid-nineteenth century King Charles I School, like most other ancient schools in England, was reorganised under schemes devised by the endowed schools commissioners and the charity commissioners to meet an increasing demand for secondary education in which england seemed to have fallen woefully behind other european countries. In 1902 the school became ‘grant aided’ within Worcestershire County Council; this status was continued as ‘voluntary aided’ until after 1944. In order to provide finance for accommodation thought necessary in the late 1950’s the school became ‘voluntary controlled’ in 1958 and remained as such up to April, 2012 when it became an academy.
