I am passionate about resilience and helping people understand how important resilience is in our lives. I studied with some of the leading international experts working to promote resilience. For the last 5 years I have been actively promoting resilience with individuals, families, organisations and communities. I had spent many years working in the field of positive psychology and therapy and it was here in Barcelona that I discovered the world of resilience and was lucky enough to attend the first post graduate course in the Promotion of Resilience at the University of Barcelona. This allowed me to meet and learn from leading figures in Resilience work in Europe and Latin America and the most generous teachers. I also studied a postgraduate diploma in mental health and migration. Moving around can bring opportunity but also challenges. I have lived in many countries and met a lot of diverse and truly inspiring people in different cultures and languages. Living an international life can feel like an amazing adventure but also comes with its challenges and I have worked with many individuals and families over the years helping them to find their feet again. Life experience, literature, music and films have always fed my resilience work but I have been studying and researching along the way to back up my instincts with analysis and ideas based on theory and practice. Learning to Work is a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status; set up to facilitate links between education and the world of work. Business engagement is at the heart of everything we do and is what sets our activities apart when it comes to giving young people an insight into the world of work and what employers will expect of them when they enter the workplace. Our brilliant business volunteers bring all of our activities to life with their expertise and enthusiasm. We are extremely passionate about the work we do and the impact we have on the lives of young people. Learning to Work achieved matrix Standard accreditation in 2014 and 2017 recognises our information, advice and guidance services and accredits our capability to support our schools with their responsibility for careers education. Each year we work with over 18,000 young people on a variety of different activities including; Work Experience, Careers Guidance, Work Ready Activities, Business Insight Days, Careers & Apprenticeship Events, Enterprise Activities, Inter-school Competitions, STEAM as well as support for Specials Needs and students struggling with mainstream education. Several local Education Business Partnerships were formed in 1993 as part of the government initiative to improve employer engagement in local schools. In 2007 EBEBP (East Berkshire EBP) was formed as an amalgamation of three of these local organisations. Following several changes to government funding and the education landscape EBeBP become Learning to Work in 2012.

Our work is vital in every city, town, community and home. RLSS UK has a proud history of helping to save the number of lives lost to drowning. Our mission is to be the leader in lifesaving and lifeguarding in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Sharing, our expertise and knowledge with as many people as possible, giving everyone the potential to save lives and enjoy water, safely. Here, at the RLSS UK, we have an impressive heritage. We have built up years of experience and, we are honoured, to boast a strong force of loyal members and volunteers who work with us to promote water safety and educate in life saving skills. Our roots were established back in 1891 as the Life Saving Society, and, in the early 1900s, with support from the Royal Family, we were granted permission to adopt the ‘Royal’ to our title – a badge that we are still immensely proud of today. We have used our extensive, world-leading knowledge of water safety and training to develop a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications and a series of awards and education programmes which all have the ultimate aim of preventing drowning and stopping unnecessary loss of life. Our portfolio includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - the premier lifeguard training programme.

I have always been a “water baby” and had my first taste of scuba diving in August 2001 in Cancun, Mexico and realized I had a new passion in life and in October 2006 I became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor – I was delighted and I have been teaching scuba diving & first aid full time ever since, and now to be able to say that I am a RAID Instructor Trainer, is something that I am very proud of as it something that I have worked very hard for. I have been lucky enough to have worked and dived in some amazing locations around the world including the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, the Maldives, the Philippines and of course stacks of UK diving experience, along with this I have managed dive centres in Turkey, UK and the Philippines where I was lucky enough to research the amazing Thresher Shark but possibly my favourite place to dive has to be Scapa Flow in Orkney, Scotland. I can offer scuba diving training from beginner lesson, all recreational levels and specialty courses, Divemaster, Instructor, Technical and Rebreather courses. I am also a Marine Mammal Medic with British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) and we help to rescue sick or injured marine life, mainly seals but also whales and dolphins to, the UK coastline really does have an amazing variety of life to see. And, yes, that really is me in the Kirby Morgan !

Prior to coaching, I was the award-winning MD of a TV production company and worked all over the world on many types of show. My job history has also included roles as a secretary, restaurant manager, saleswoman and lady’s companion. I believe my varied work experience and eclectic cultural interests have helped make me a better coach. I currently coach people working in digital media, marketing, music, science, broadcasting, law and town planning. I also coach students at Imperial College, London. Having trained in the UK and US, I use many different tools and techniques. I have a Diploma in Coaching from the Oxford & Cambridge Board and have completed Team Coaching and Clean Language Coaching courses. In addition, I’m a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). I enjoy working face-to-face with clients but am well-versed in coaching remotely, something I do regularly with my international clients. My style is challenging but supportive. I am equally comfortable and confident dealing with professional or personal issues. As a matter of course, I offer a free initial consultation session because I believe, as in any relationship, chemistry is essential for the work to be truly effective.

EuCAN is a Community Interest Company (CIC) working in the UK and other countries of Europe to involve more people and communities in the conservation management of their local environment, by providing training and practical experience for young graduates, potential volunteers and therapeutic groups, in nature conservation and in sustainable land management and food production enterprises. EuCAN CIC started life in 2007 as the European Conservation Action Network, a project linked to The Kingcombe Centre in west Dorset, and funded entirely by the Leonardo da Vinci strand of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. Since 2007, The European Conservation Action Network has set up 23 different two-week placements and enabled nearly 300 volunteers to visit 11 partner organisations in the EU. In 2011, when The Kingcombe Trust was wound up, EuCAN became established as an independent Community Interest Company through which, in addition to promoting placements with our other EU partners, we have organised several conservation projects in Dorset and Somerset, are undertaking an increasing number of habitat management contracts using professionals and trainees working together, and have run training courses each year in botanical and lepidoptera identification and ecology, bumblebee conservation and id and other subjects. The CIC now acts as a hub for the wide network of volunteers, organisations and other contacts that EuCAN has cultivated since 2007.
