Arting Celfio

Baneswell

My name’s Marion Webber and I’ve been working in the field of Arts in Health and more general participatory arts for over a decade. Studies* have proven the benefits of taking part in creative activities that support our daily lives. I founded Arting Celfio during 2020, to enable Healthcare professionals and artists specialising within Arts and Health to collaborate and provide high-quality, tailor-made, person-centered arts projects. I am a practicing artist based in South Wales, with extensive experience in Participatory Arts Practice. This has given me the privilege to work with diverse participants on many commissions resulting in the installation of artworks in both temporary and permanent exhibitions. My art practice and knowledge inform how I collaborate and co-curate projects with Healthcare professionals and fellow artists within the field of Arts in Health. I have an MA (with Distinction - Arts Practice Arts, Health and Wellbeing) and gained a PGCE PcET Teaching Qualification (Post-16 and Adult Education sectors). I deliver creative workshops, informed by reflective practice and a commitment to continued professional development that connects, and provides meaningful activities that value people’s input and stories. I’d love the chance to discuss your ideas for projects, so please drop me an email. The artwork below are examples from my own practice. Arden University has a proud heritage in providing flexible and accessible higher education. We’ve grown and evolved from our beginnings in 1990 as the chosen online learning partner for universities across Britain, to offer a new kind of learning experience, providing both online and blended learning degree courses that meet the changing needs of modern life. Today, we offer more than 90 career-focused qualifications, many of which are accredited by leading professional bodies such as the British Psychological Society, the Chartered Management Institute, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation, the Association for Project Management, and many others. We strive to do things differently, and believe in doing things better. We recognise that higher education providers must proactively respond to the current and future needs, trends, and expectations of employers, as well as a global evolving economy, to create a better world for everyone. With study centres across the UK in Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Leeds, as well as in Berlin, Germany, we offer our students the chance to gain life-changing degree qualifications no matter their background or personal circumstances. As active champions of equality, diversity, and inclusion, we believe that higher education is a force for both social and economic change. Through bringing the power of technology together with the potential of a university education, we are revolutionising the traditional university model to remove unnecessary barriers to learning.

Lorna Pilates Sheffield

My background is nursing having worked as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency department for many years, formally working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a GP surgery. I am passionate about helping people become well and whole, to live life to their full potential. My career took a change of course when I trained to become a Body Control Pilates teacher, after a number of years of personal experience in Body Control Pilates, which I started after advice from a physiotherapist. I have appreciated the benefit of Pilates for my own health as well as improved performance in the sport I do - climbing, mountain biking, skiing. Through Pilates and working with those with PoTS and Long-COVID, I wanted to learn more about breathing, and realised the benefit of breathing well has on our health and wellbeing. For a long time I have been aware of the mind-body connection and the influence of stress (current, past and personality types) have on our body. I am now trained as a Stress Induced Recovery Practitioner working with those with stress induced symptoms. Movement and breathing and acknowledging the impact of stress on our body, will help calm our nervous system. I have a specific interest in those with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) and Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Myalgic encephalomyelitis or chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), Long-COVID and any other chronic health conditions.

Ethical Education Enterprise Ltd

Manchester

The Ethical Education Enterprise CIC was established to provide high quality and meaningful training to people in the local communities of the Greater Manchester area. Here at Ethical Education, we pride ourselves on creating a learning environment that offers each student an individual pathway. Working with local organisations, we support staff to develop their skills through accredited qualifications and bespoke training which, in turn, enhances local sustainability. We are currently working with young people aged 14yrs + to provide additional support alongside school, focusing on their individual attributes and interests. We also work with adults who are looking to progress in work or with barriers to work. Experience has shown us that, in reality, most people simply want meaningful work in their lives and equally meaningful social relations that come as part of being included in the wider working world. We believe that an intrinsic, if not critical part of helping people to achieve their aims is to develop productive relationships with all like-minded organisations such as third sector partners, education providers, support organisations, social housing providers and employers. We therefore can develop positive transitional pathways to ensure our learners are trained to a level which enables them to confidently progress or enter into productive, meaningful and sustainable employment. Taking a person-centred approach, we aspire to produce positive outcomes for all individuals we work with, but also for employers and society, as we believe each are mutually complimentary and achievable given the right approach.
