REDUCE STRESS, REDISCOVER YOUR INNER RESILIENCE & UNLOCK THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF MINDFULNESS Are you feeling stressed, anxious, unfocused or otherwise struggling to cope with your everyday life and work?  Curious about how Mindfulness can help? Or perhaps you have already tried Mindfulness meditation and would like help establishing or re-igniting your own regular practice? Research shows that mindfulness can help you to become less stressed, happier and more focused. Working with an experienced Mindfulness teacher can help you to establish your own regular meditation practice and experience its life-enhancing benefits for yourself. By forming new neural pathways in the brain, regular practice of Mindfulness can boost your enjoyment of life, create greater clarity and focus and strengthen emotional resilience when life throws us challenges. My name is Claire Griffin and after experiencing a stress-related burnout a few years ago, I  experienced for myself the profound changes that practicing Mindfulness can give.   I set up Mindfulness Web to help others discover these changes for themselves and over the past 7 years, I’ve seen hundreds of my course participants flourish and find new joy in their lives. I am a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher and a Mindfulness at Work Verified Trainer and a qualified coach with a Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching. I’ve successfully coached many business leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs to reach their full potential.  I'm also a member of the senior Teacher Training Team at the Mindful Academy, Solterreno, training others to teach MBSR.  A member of the British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA) [http://www.bamba.org.uk/], I have passed their assessments to demonstrate I meet the UK good practice guidance for mindfulness teachers and am on their recommended teachers list.

Advantage Schools

Bedford

Formed in April 2017, we run Elstow School, Bedford Free School and Queen’s Park Academy. We are opening a brand new secondary school, Houstone School, in September 2022. We believe very strongly in our values, which guide everything we do. We exist to serve our communities – the pupils and families of Bedford and Central Bedfordshire – in order to offer a real choice of education. We specialise in an academic education that offers excellent outcomes, a great learning environment with routines and structures that ensure excellent behaviour, and phenomenal extra-curricular opportunities. Our schools are genuinely comprehensive, and we believe that every child can go on to achieve extraordinary things. We ensure that our curriculum is rich in knowledge, expect hard work and do not make excuses. We believe in working together with families to support our high expectations that meet young peoples’ aspirations. Every pupil should have the option to go to university at 18, and for the vast majority this should be the choice of highly-selective universities. We hence craft our curriculum around the core knowledge contained in traditional academic subjects. We believe all of our pupils have a right to the assumed knowledge that educated people take for granted, and aspire to ensure that all of our pupils join the community of educated citizens. We are outward-facing, sharing all of what we do with other trusts, professionals and anyone who is interested.

Damian Donnelly, Ad_Man Creative Marketing

damian donnelly, ad_man creative marketing

Hello there – I’m Damian Donnelly, Principal at Ad_Man Digital Marketing, a marketing consultancy based in lovely Belfast. I’m an award-winning advertising, marketing, digital marketing and social media consultant, trainer, mentor and speaker with some 30+ years’ experience (hey, I started very young!). During this time, I’ve worked with everybody from senior government officials and marketing managers for international brands, to owners of start-ups and micro-businesses… and everybody in between. And there are few marketing and communications challenges I haven’t seen and helped provide solutions for over the years. I’ve been told many times that I’m really good at getting to the heart of a problem to unlock the insights from which practical, measurable, and sustainable difference-making solutions can be developed. Perhaps most important of all, I can help you enjoy your business! I’ve been described as a “breath of fresh air” and the quality of my work and thinking has been referred to as “addictive”. And some reassurance bits... I hold a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Diploma in Digital Marketing. I'm an Enterprise Northern Ireland Premier Adviser. I was NI Regional Winner for the National Examination Board in Supervisory Management Certificate. I'm an associate tutor and trainer for Belfast Academy of Marketing, delivering training and workshops on copywriting, search engine optimisation (SEO), digital marketing planning, content marketing, social media, and web and social media analytics. I'm a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) approved tutor. I'm an InterTradeIreland approved digital marketing consultant.

Inclusion In He

I’ve worked for more than 30 years delivering and managing services in the public sector to support disabled people. In 1997 I moved into higher education becoming the manager of the disability service at the University of the West of England in Bristol. After UWE, I was the manager of an educational development project in Manchester before two roles in national coordination teams. As part of the National Disability Team I oversaw £2.1m of HEFCE funding across 23 projects in a range of HEIs in England. The projects were funded to set up disability provision from scratch within small specialist institutions and to develop a range of inclusive teaching, learning and assessment resources for the sector. I was then senior policy adviser at Action on Access, the national coordination team for widening participation. I’ve worked in a consultancy capacity and been a member of policy groups for a range of projects and organisations including, the Institute of Physics, the Higher Education Academy, the General Teaching Council for England, the Quality Assurance Agency, and a number of universities including York, Durham, Huddersfield, Middlesex and Cardiff Metropolitan. I was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Disability Practitioners for a number of years and I’m now the CEO of the International Network of Inclusive Practice. I recently worked as a visiting lecturer at the Education University, Hong Kong and currently work as a lecturer at London South Bank University.

Alexandrabaer

alexandrabaer

Alexandra was born in the USA and spent her formative years in London and Glasgow. Her musical abilities were recognised from a very young age and she began having regular piano and vocal lessons at the age of four. Alexandra had the honour of being the youngest singing student to be accepted at the prestigious Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Whilst studying there, she benefited from singing lessons, vocal workshops and master-classes with both formidable voice teachers and visiting leading professionals. This early exposure to such a high standard of coaching was a great source of inspiration for an aspiring young soprano. Alexandra was invited to attend the Association Of Teachers Of Singing training course for four consecutive years, which provided her with a solid foundation for developing her own teaching technique which she loves to share in her own teaching lessons. Having always had a special love of Scotland, it seemed to be a natural progression for her to complete her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow (now known as The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) where Alexandra was awarded her Bachelor of Music with Honours Degree. Now based in Central Scotland and accessible from Falkirk, Stirling, Glasgow amd Edinburgh, Alexandra enjoys working as a freelance singer (soprano) and singing teacher. She is currently delighted to be working with Music in Hospitals and Care (MiHC) with whom she has regular concert engagements and tours.
