About us Apprenticeships and Training Services Consortium Ltd (ATSCL) is a private limited company set up in December 2010 by two existing quality driven independent training providers North London Garages GTA Ltd (NLGGTA) and Tempdent Dental Agency Ltd. ATSCL was awarded a Skills Funding Agency contract in August 2011, with the aim of delivering highly successful apprenticeships and traineeships; developing provision within the flexibilities of the single adult budget in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Dental Nursing, English, math, ICT, Customer Service, Business Administration, Team Leading and Management. ATSCL comprises of two company directors and increased their ESFA contract value significantly in the last four years whilst maintaining achievement rates 22.9% above the national average. ATSCL received an OFSTED inspection in February 2018 achieving Grade 2 overall, with Grade 1 for Effectiveness of Leadership and Management. I have always been fascinated by the answer to a single question: “How can I get the best performance from myself and others?” Even at a young age, it seemed obvious to me that it would be better to be positive rather than negative, which means: Goal focused rather than drifting Productive rather than busy Rational rather than erratic Organised rather than chaotic Confident rather than timid Optimistic rather than pessimistic Inspirational rather than cynical So, at the tender age of 17, I started my study on how one may become more goal focused, productive, rational, organised, confident, optimistic and inspirational. I read a lot, I experimented a lot, I observed others and I tested ideas to see which worked and which did not. I have been studying these topics for forty years. When I was 37, I started my company The Corporate Coach. I wrote unique training programmes based on the ideas and methods I had assembled. I framed my programmes into a system that was, and is still, designed to answer the same fundamental question: “How can YOU get the best performance from YOURSELF and OTHERS?” The Corporate Coach Group is based on three fundamental principles, of: Clarity Rationality Positivity These three fundamental principles form the bedrock of the program and each principle contains many subset principles, which we all should investigate, understand and apply in practice. I have always had a passion for learning and supporting others to achieve personal and professional success. As a former Headteacher, I know the tremendous expectations that can be placed upon schools and their staff. I embraced my Headship with enthusiasm and ambition though at times I often felt isolated, insecure and exhausted. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to invest in coaching as part of my leadership development.  It was transformational. Coaching enabled me to improve professionally and create positive change for others. Working with my own coach, I learnt how to work effectively, manage change and remove or overcome any barriers that were holding me back. I became able to balance the demands of an intensive job with a young family and feel far more confident and energized. As a direct result of my experience I wanted to ensure all educators had the opportunity to experience coaching and  build their leadership skills to create success for themselves and inspire their teams and school community.  Feeling the experience of coaching for myself and seeing the positive impact it has on others is the reason I became a qualified coach. I know leadership can be tough, but I also believe it can be the most enjoyable and rewarding role you will ever have. Coaching reminds us of what we value and why we love what we do. Whatever challenges you face as a leader, I can assure you learning coaching is the best decision you will ever make.
