Baby Swimmers was founded in Yorkshire in 2004 by Tracy Margo after attending similar classes with her first baby. She found them so beneficial and enjoyable that she was inspired to set up her own classes to teach little ones water safety skills, and their parents the enjoyment of bonding with their baby in the water. From just one small class, today we teach over 500 children every week across North & West Yorkshire through our team of incredibly talented and passionate swim teachers. And in 2019, we were thrilled to be crowned winners of the What’s On 4 Kids ‘Most Loved Sport or Physical Activity award’. There are lots of reasons why baby swimming is good for your baby (and you, too!). You can read more about the benefits of baby swimming, and why it’s important to get them happy and confident in the water as soon as possible. Here at Baby Swimmers, we understand that children develop differently, which is why all our lessons are child-led to ensure little ones are taught and developed at their own pace. After spending schoolboy years at Luton Town FC and Cambridge United FC, Paul Warnecki advanced quickly into senior football, making his debut aged just sixteen years old for Buckingham town in the early 1980s. After a couple of seasons Paul gained a highly regarded reputation as one of the best goalkeeper’s playing at semi-professional level playing for many clubs ranging from Kettering town, Rushden and Diamonds and Baldock town. Paul took a break to develop outside business interests in the late 1990s but continued to play for various clubs in the region -even winning the berks and bucks county cup with Newport Pagnell at the grand old age of 44 and continues to play actively to this day, so he has certainly been there done it and worn the goalkeeping gloves! It was Paul's desire to coach the next generation of goalkeepers that lead him to set up his own goalkeeper schools in 2014 through the Just4Keepers franchise. Paul is now FA level 2 qualified and lead goalkeeper coach for Bedfordshire FA. He is a member of the FA licensed coaches club and is CRB/DBS checked (DBS number: 1584451434) with all the relevant safety certificates. (fan number: 611720). Now with over 10 regular venues for group coaching throughout Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, as well as numerous individual sessions for teams and clubs throughout the region, Paul has launched Goalkeeper Warz. Goalkeeper Warz have a few other coaches, carefully chosen and selected for their expertise and coaching styles to assist at our various venues. Hannah Jones established the swim school in 2011 after teaching at Esporta for several years and growing a loyal client base through achieving consistently fast improved swimming skills, after Esporta closed Hannah seized the opportunity to set up her own swimming business. We are based at Parkhall Business Village and operate from our own custom built swimming facility, we provide swimming lessons for both children and adults. We work with a variety of abilities varying from non-swimmers to competitive athletes, offering small group, private sessions and specific skill classes such as diving or life saving. We also offer in school holidays Mermaid sessions. Our goal at Hannah Jones Swim Academy is to provide effective teaching, designed to boost your child's water confidence, swimming knowledge, water safety and skills Our groups are arranged according to the swimmers' ability, the children are then assessed to achieve awards based around the Swim England framework. Hannah was selected to represent Great Britain at a number of International events but due to unforseen circumstances Hannah was unable to continue. Hannah still wanted to pursue a career in swimming and felt that by teaching people to swim she was able to share her experience and knowledge with everyone from absolute beginners to aspiring athletes.

It is run on a voluntary basis by a National Executive elected from the membership and administered from a central office in Gosforth, Newcastle. NBE’s vision for “Excellence in all aspects of moving and handling” is supported with aims to reflect the growing recognition and significance of its work. The association consults widely with other organisations / stakeholders having similar goals and actively contributes to national working parties and projects as well as supporting research and practice development. ‘Column’, the journal of NBE, provides a valuable means of communication and is supported by web-based members’ forums where topics can be freely discussed and advice sought. Since 1992 NBE has run a highly respected and successful 3 day residential conference in September for people with an interest in moving and handling. Our friendly comprehensive swimming programme is spread across 29 progressive levels suitable for the early introduction of babies, from 10 weeks old in our Level 1, right through to children of approximately 7 or 8 years in our Child Level 29. We not only teach the children how to swim but also, water confidence, water safety and when older, snorkeling, rescue and how to use underwater scooters! And you can choose between many venues with weekday or weekend classes Not only has the Aquatots programme been carefully enhanced and adapted over the 22 years to be the best Baby, Toddler and Child swimming program available, but we also take care to ensure that the babies and children are swimming in a suitable and warm environment. For example our baby classes will always be taught in warm, shallow private pools ensuring the perfect relaxed surroundings for new parents and first time swimmers. Once the children are able to swim independently, we move to bigger pools providing the extra space required, so all swimmers are encouraged to develop their skills to their maximum potentials. We also want and need our parents to join us in the water throughout the programme, even into the later swim levels. This not only keeps this activity as a shared family event ensuring learning continues outside of our lessons, on holiday for example, but also avoids that common issue in many other swim clubs without parents, where children sadly spend lots of wasted time waiting for a Teacher to swim with each one individually. During that time they often start to get bored and lose their enthusiasm. Having a parent in the water ensures that each child has a personal assistant at all time, to enhance and speed up the learning process altogether.
