We are affiliated to the IDTA which demonstrates our staff all have the relevant qualifications and allow our pupils to take exams if they wish. Over the years several of our dancers have achieved numerous dance qualifications, attended some of the top performing arts schools in London, and a few have now returned having achieved their teaching qualifications to pass on their passion and love of dance to the next generation. We pride ourselves on being a dance school for all abilities and treat each dancer as an individual so we can cater for each individual’s needs. Our past dancers consider us their second home and proud to the part of the Dance Factory family. We opened in the year 2000 in Sutton Coldfield and quickly achieved a good reputation. The school went from strength to strength which enabled us in 2012 to move to Tamworth and have our own premises. This has been the making of our school with people travelling from Birmingham, Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire to be part of such a professional and successful Studios. The Dance Factory has consistently achieved outstanding exam results and won numerous awards. We train all pupils to the highest standards be that as a hobby or for the dancer to pursue a professional career. We currently have pupils training with many of the top colleges and associate programmes in the country.

With over 25 years of experience in the fields of training and leadership development in both the retail and education sectors I know my stuff. My leadership career began when I worked for a bookshop chain in central London, working my way up to the role of store manager at branches in Baker Street, Earls Court and Holborn at the age of 20. This was followed by a period working as a training manager for Tesco at their first central London store on Oxford Street. My success in this role led to me being seconded to support the opening of Tesco’s flagship store in Kensington, where I helped to lead the recruitment and training of all new staff in preparation for the store’s launch. In 1999 I entered the education sector. I started as a volunteer in a pre-school, then secured a job as a Learning Support Assistant and eventually retrained as a class teacher. In my second year of teaching I took on a curriculum leadership role, which at the time was an unusual move for a new teacher. I’ve spent the last 19 years developing my career and I’m currently the headteacher of a primary school in south London. In 2014 I set up my own publishing company 9:10 Publishing. This was born out of an observation that there were very few books for young black people which were written from a black British perspective. Rather than rely on traditional publishing houses to take up my ideas, I looked into what was required to do it myself. As a result Letters to a Young Generation was born. The first book was aimed at boys and in 2016 I published another edition for girls. Visit the 9:10 Publishing website to find out more. CNG has decided to organise Lunch Club to entertain the elderly with traditional Iranian music and board games allowing them to interact with many others. We also supply them with Iranian cuisine. READ MORE Education For CNG the education of our youth and future generation is very important. CNG has a supplementary school where it focuses on teaching Farsi. The students are able to attend the extra-curriculum activities which take place after Farsi lesson. This includes Maths & English to enrich and support the students also Art, Crafts & Dance. READ MORE Support Due to covid-19 pandemic there has been a huge demand among the elderly, disabled and low-income clients for living essentials. CNG has been able to hand out food and supplies to many people. These people were not able to leave their homes for months due to the fright of COVID-19 and we believed it was our duty to help them.

the climbing academy - "the newsroom"

Our passion for climbing has inspired us to develop climbing walls that enable anyone and everyone to access the sport and develop the next generation of climbers. The Climbing Academy started in Bristol in 2008 when The Mothership opened. We delivered on our vision to build a bouldering wall that would appeal to as many people as possible, giving them the opportunity to take part in what we think is the best sport in the world. Soon after, we opened The Newsroom in Glasgow – based in an old newspaper printing works – bringing the city its first dedicated bouldering centre. In more recent years we took over Undercover Rock AKA The Church, Bristol’s original roped wall in St Werburghs. In late Autumn 2018, we opened a brand new climbing centre in Glasgow. The Prop Store came to life in an old BBC prop store and offers both bouldering and roped climbing. All of our climbing walls offer the very best in climbing facilities and courses, designed for climbers of all abilities. Our staff are always on-hand to offer advice to help you get the very best out of your experience climbing. The DW Goalkeeping Academy was established in 2016 by Dan Worthington, following on from 4 very successful years running Goalkeeping sessions for local grassroots clubs. Professional, modern and innovative training sessions designed to develop Goalkeepers of all ages and abilities. From those who are just starting out, to Goalkeepers that are playing Academy football at professional clubs. Based in Essex, weekly training sessions are on floodlit third generation (3G) artificial grass pitches across venues covering Shenfield / Brentwood / Billericay / Havering / Maldon / Romford and surrounding areas. Owner and Head Coach Dan is a passionate, enthusiastic and qualified Goalkeeping coach with experience coaching at grassroots and within a professional environment. He has held positions at Dagenham & Redbridge as Assistant Academy Goalkeeping Coach and currently West Ham United as their International Academy Goalkeeping Coach. He has experience coaching in the UK and the USA, having worked for numerous category 1 Academies stateside on their national camps in partnership with Global Image Sports. Dan and the Academy coaches have overseen some of the DWGKA keepers who have excelled go onto sign for professional clubs, with others securing trials.
