Azumi and David presented their first fashion accessories in 1999, 'piercing' and 'ear wax' - foam and wax earplug earrings, branded A'N'D, to The Pineal Eye, London ... followed by Colette, Paris ... their first two stockists. Funnelwick Limb Ltd grew out of the success of The Mystery of the Raddlesham Mumps. Launched in April 2019 to considerable critical acclaim – as a book, as an audio drama, as a a tablet game, as a VR experience and as a live show. Funnelwick Limb exists to develop cross platform storytelling work, primarily but not exclusively, for family audiences. We combine live performance with family-friendly VR experiences, games and audio content with good old school books. We want to inspire and enable digitally-savvy young people to get lost in language, learn how to create their own stories using different mediums and develop a live performance habit. We want to nurture a new generation of cultural creators and consumers, equipped and hungry for words and the kinds of cultural experiences we can’t yet imagine, unhindered by the barriers to engagement that exist for many today.

Caroline Waldegrave is the founding Principal, former Managing Director and co-owner of Leiths School of Food and Wine, one of the most prestigious and respected cookery schools in the country. After 33 years’ involvement, Caroline retired and became a non-executive director on the board of Leith’s in 2009. She was also Chairman of the Guild of Food Writers for several years, and a former member of the Health Education Authority. Caroline was awarded an OBE in 2000 for services to the UK catering industry. Her passion and enthusiasm for teaching and love of food have continued to be the fundamental drivers of Caroline’s work. Since stepping back from day-to-day involvement in Leith’s School, Caroline has focused on imparting her wealth of cookery knowledge at Dudwell School, on the site of the beautiful Waldegrave family home, Dudwell Field Farm. In addition, she owns the Barley Mow pub in London's Marylebone with three of her four children, as well as being a director of the family organic dairy farm. Caroline is also in demand for media appearances, and has been seen on various TV and radio programmes, including Chef School, Masterchef and Tricks of the Trade. In what spare time she does have, Caroline enjoys playing bridge and tennis, and attending the theatre. Publishing Caroline is the author or co-author of a range of cookery books. These include the Leith’s Cookery Bible, Cookery Course and Cookery School books (co-written with Prue Leith), Leith’s Easy Dinner Parties (co-written with Puff Fairclough and Janey Orr), Leith’s Fish Bible (co-written with CJ Jackson), The Healthy Gourmet, and the Low Fat Gourmet. Many of the recipes you will cook on the Dudwell courses will be taken from the Leith’s Bible, but you will also benefit from a copy of the Dudwell cookery book which you will take home at the end of the course, or which is available to buy separately here.

At the International Arabic School we aim to educate children in the Arabic language to enable them not only to learn to read from a book, but to use this beautiful language in everyday life. Using a range of popular, clear, and colourful literature we aim to educate children in a stimulating, exciting atmosphere. Many activities are included during the class in addition to the use of visual aids and language games to keep children motivated and engaged. We follow the Lebanese curriculum and all our books are carefully selected to deliver the language in small clear stages. All abilities are welcome from beginners to the Arabic to more advanced speakers and our teachers have a minimum of 15 years experience each. Classes consist of a small number of students with some classes having the benefit of a teachers assistant available for extra guidance and support. When a student enrolls with us, they are each provided with a complimentary text book, work book and the necessary folder for each class. There is a 25 minute break allocated for each class in turn were students are taken to the canteen to have a snack (complementary juice and biscuits provided by the school) or are welcome to bring their own packed lunch.

I currently live in Edinburgh working full-time as a music tutor and performing musician. I graduated with a BA in Popular Music from Edinburgh Napier University where I was able to hone my craft by composing, performing, improvising, and training on the piano and guitar. I have surrounded myself with many great musicians and other piano teachers who keep me inspired and on top of my game. Jazz and popular music is my specialty however, I have studied classical piano and love Bartok, Schumann, Debussy, and Chopin to name a few. Each person has their own desires and reasons for playing music so I do not simply teach from a single textbook. I value good technique and an understanding of music theory but also seek to inspire and foster creativity. I have spent countless hours and hundreds of pounds researching music books and teaching methods. Fully equipped, this allows me to tailor each lesson to the student's aims, allowing them to love playing music while developing their technical skillset. At present, I have around 25 students a week as a private music teacher here at my home, or at their homes. As a live performer, I work with three live performance agencies, WooHoo, Banana Row, and Music For Scotland. They send me bookings for performances at weddings, parties, and corporate and private events across Scotland and the UK. Also, I work with various bands in Edinburgh and Glasgow performing regularly in venues such as The Jazz Bar, Stramash, The Dog House, Uno Mas, The Barony Bar, and Whistle Binkies. I have just finished writing my debut album with my band Sekoya and we recorded this in Memphis, TN in November 2022 at the studio and record label Court Square Recordings. The album is due for release summer of 2023, stay tuned for the album launch event. We are also in the process of making a documentary about the making of the album this should be released around the same time, courtesy of David Hagen Media. Another creative outlet that I spend time working on is my variety performance show, a combination of magic and music mixed in with comedy, to be performed each year as a part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival under the name Luke Closely. If I am not doing this then I am busy at work with Night Owl Shows performing various tribute shows to various famous artists.

Spanish for ‘This Book’ Este Libro hand makes a range of Coptic Bound books, albums and diaries, as well as Coptic Binding Kits and screen printed textiles. Started in 2016 by me, Esther Williams, Este Libro has grown from making sketchbooks in my bedroom to curating a range of hand crafted bespoke products from my studio in Somerset. Each screen print is designed by me, influenced by abstract art and 1950’s interior design, I cut the stencils by hand and print onto cotton layer by layer, building the design one colour at a time. Established in 1985 to develop mathematical manipulatives and books, the company still has an interest in these areas, in particular the design and provision of manipulatives. Since 2019 the focus has been more on Educational Consultancy, to both individuals and organisations, with the focus very much on the skills required for the future and the use of technology. In 2021 we introduced two new areas based on the experiences of both COVID-19 and the inevitable effects age has on us all with our Working From Home and Care@Home services, both delivered through M2 Associates. In 2022 we decided that our primary focus would be to work with charities, good causes, and campaigns to further develop on the work we have been doing since 2005 for Animal Welfare. Our objective is to help as many disadvantaged children as possible through the provision of mathematical manipulatives, educational programmes, skills training, coaching and mentoring and to use the proceeds of these to continue our animal welfare activities.

Glasgow's Suomi-koulu was founded in 2005. The school's mission is to promote and support the Finnish language skills, Finnish identity, and Finnish culture and history of bilingual (multiple) and Finnish-speaking children and young people living in Britain. In several places, such as Glasgow, Finnish schools form the core of the Finnish network in the region. All Finns, including those without children, with their friends and families are welcome to the school, for example just to meet new people and acquaintances over a cup of coffee or to borrow books from our library. The school organizes lessons for school-aged children and there is a playgroup for the youngest in the family. We aim to organize an excursion once a year. Every year, the school organizes a Christmas party with traditional Finnish Christmas treats. The school also has a small kiosk, which is open on school days where you can buy Finnish candies for the worst homesickness. Welcome!
