My name is Linda and I have been working full time growing and selling flowers since 2014. Prior to this I worked in the constrution industry for many years, initially in administration and marketing, followed 12 years as PA to the Chairman, through the highs and lows building roads and sewage systems! Then a move into the IT department managing the teams installating IT and telecoms on big construction sites and a lot less exciting stuff resulting in spending far too much time on Doncaster railway station. Time for a change!! Joining the fledgling organisation Flowers from the Farm (FFTF) in 2012 when members numbered around 50, led to becoming co-ordinator for the East Midlands region in 2015 and Co-Chair for a two year fixed term 2018-20. Since I joined FFTF has grown to nearly 1000 members championing local grown flowers. My business increased from selling a few bunches of flowers a week to supplying flowers and floristry for weddings, funerals and in 2020 a big expansion in selling flowers to the general public, followed by a return to farmers’ markets in 2021 where from March to September you will find The Spotted Dog at Brigg, Lincoln and Saxilby. My flowers are grown with the environment in mind. The poly tunnel is unheated, the greenhouse uses electric for only two months of the year, the flowers pesticide free and tonnes of compost are supplied from our own horses and livestock every year, supplemented by bulk green waste. Flowers are supplied wrapped in kraft paper or re-useable vases or buckets depending on volume supplied! I use primarily British flowers, either grown by myself or sourced from other growers, locally in Lincolnshire and Cornwall early/late season. On very rare occasions I will use carefully sourced imported flowers if needed for the work being undertaken although more and more customers are requesting “only British” and are happy to work with the seasons. Media mentions have included BBC Radio 4 Open Country with Helen Mark on her programme ‘Inspired by Flowers in Lincolnshire’, Radio 4 ‘Farming Today’ during British Flowers Week, Radio Newark with Girls About Town, BBC television for RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018 when I was filmed cutting flowers to ready to transport to London for use in the Flowers from the Farm exhibit when the amazing team won a gold medal. There have also been articles in My Weekly Magazine, Flower Arranger magazine, The Gainsborough Standard, The Lincoln Business Journal and in 2020 The Daily Telegraph in an article about the flower industry during the Covid pandemic. In 2021 I was delighted to welcome Lizzie Musham from BBC Radio Lincolnshire for a field walk ahead of FFTF Flower Farmers Big Weekend and we met up again in November when she joined one of our wreath making workshops at The Cross Keys Stow and made a wreath live on air! I’m passionate about promoting natural funeral flowers suitable for green burial grounds, never use floral foam and in 2020 became an associate member of the Association of Green Funeral Directors. My wedding flowers have appeared on Love My Dress and Rock My Wedding blogs and I undertake weddings only within a 50 mile radius of my home.

Crimsham Farm is a community farming project, spearheaded and run by Veterans of the ArmedForces and young adults with learning difficulties. We run a variety of weekly clubs that engage with the local community, offering a completely inclusive experience for all. The site itself has been structured on a needs led basis, built and improved at every step through engagement with our users and the wider community, additions made at their request, making us the most unique farming project in the county. Crimsham Farm also acts as an alternative education provision, providing a space away from school for students who struggle to fit with the models of mainstream education and as a therapeutic centre for students with Special Educational Needs. By 2021 we will be host to a Veterans RV where members of the Armed Forces can come for mental health assistance, support groups, drop in centres, breakfast clubs and general information and signposting to help with every day life. With a passion for the outdoors, education and needs, Crimsham Farm is pioneering the way forward in positive therapeutic interactions in a safe and disabled friendly environment, providing a space that cannot be found anywhere else in Sussex in which the local community no matter the cause, can come and join in the fun, whether that’s through reduction of social isolation, inclusion in activities or just somewhere to come for a cuppa and a chat, it can be found here on the farm any time of the day, any time of the year! We have a huge range of activities to engage in, all of which can be found here on the website, and the site is expanding and improving all the time, so if you want to get involved, but cant find your niche, drop us a message or pop by for a chat. Keeping Well in South East London (KWSEL) is a partnership between the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Services provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust (Oxleas), Bromley Healthcare and Mind (Bexley). The KWSEL hub was set up during the Covid-19 pandemic due to the considerable challenges and stresses experienced by health and care professionals. Keeping Well in SEL support is available to all staff delivering health and care services across SEL. This includes a universal offer through a digital portal which includes access to self-help resources, self-assessment, live chat and a community forum. We also offer telephone mental health assessments if you think you need psychological support, and wellbeing conversations if you need someone to talk to. The Keeping Well service is here to provide wellbeing and psychological support to: All NHS staff in South East London All staff in care/residential homes in South East London All voluntary sector staff in South East London, so long as some NHS/social care funding is allocated to your health and care organisation. A recording of Alastair's live online performance during the Covid-19 crisis for the World Storytelling Cafe Alastair K. Daniel is a performance storyteller, researcher, writer and consultant in storytelling (and related fields) working in the UK and abroad. Following twelve years touring schools in the UK and the Low Countries with The Story Tent, in 2010 Alastair made the move from professional storytelling to academia. In the summer of 2022, Alastair ended his term as Principal Lecturer in Primary English at the University of Roehampton in 2022 to focus on storytelling once more, and develop his work as an independent scholar. Alastair's 'Story Tent' style brings traditional and literary texts to life through physicalisation, puppets, masks, costumes, artefacts, rhymes and songs - creating performances in which the distinction between performer and audience become blurred. The Story Tent project came out of Alastair's use of storytelling as a teaching strategy with children with profound emotional and behavioural difficulties. He found that storytelling (contrasted with story-reading) provided a unique method of drawing children, who often had difficulties with imaginative play, into new worlds. As a consultant and researcher, Alastair has worked with a range of organisations and specialises in the application of oral storytelling in educational contexts and the use of narrative analysis to evaluate educational programmes.

In October of 2018, two women connected through mutual friends, but strangers at the time, came together because of a sign ... a ‘For Rent’ sign! Quickly finding out they had shared passions for helping people thrive through movement, cycling for Kelly and yoga for Chrissy, their dream became a reality in Fit2Shine Studio. Just a little over a year after opening, COVID tried to shut the doors, but they pivoted, rebounded, and made it through making changes as needed over the next two years. In 2022, after three years of partnership, they parted ways, and Kelly remains to continue the mission of Fit2Shine Studio. This is a place where people come to find energy, strength, and peace through fitness. With cycling, yoga, and strength classes, we offer healing for the body, mind, and soul. Whether your day calls for you to hop on a bike and ride your heart out (building your cardiovascular system) while having a blast with loud music and strong encouragement in CYCLE class, to discover your physical strength by squatting and lifting heavy things (building your muscular skeletal system) in strength class, or to find your internal strength and peace in yoga class (building your nervous system), you can find it at Fit2Shine Studio. Message to parents More Than Ed continues to operate as normal. We will not be wearing facemasks, or asking your children to do so, as we do not work in confined spaces and all young people at More Than Ed are classed as SEN. However, should you wish us or your child to wear a facemask in the car due to someone in your family being at higher risk of infection, please inform us. All students' temperatures will be taken prior to their journey to school, and any child that appears to have a higher than normal temperature will be asked to remain at home until they have received a negative COVID-19 test result (not a Lateral Flow Test result.) More Than Ed Therapeutic Provision offers a therapeutic education in a nurture-based environment for young people at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school, or those who have already been excluded. As an Attachment and Trauma Aware Provision, we offer in-house Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. All our staff will adhere to all Government restrictions when not at work so that your child and family are protected as much as possible. I was born in Ohio and grew up in a small farming village before qualifying as a teacher and moving to England in 2003. After getting married, my husband and I moved back to his hometown in Cornwall. Outside of the clinic, you can find me exploring the local beaches and coastal paths (with a coffee, of course). I decided to return to my passion for caring for others in the health and fitness industry (my original career path prior to teaching) after dealing with work-related stress and suffering from chronic pain following a severe back injury. As a result, I have a special interest in the connection between mental health and how we feel pain. My goal is to help as many people as possible who are coping with injuries, pain, and/or stress by providing soft tissue therapy, which combines massage, education, and rehabilitation to help you take control of your pain or injury. I qualified as a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist after studying with the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage (ISRM) at The Massage Training School in Exmouth. I have treated a wide variety of injuries, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal pain both in my clinic and for a short period prior to COVID, for the Camborne Rugby Football Club while assisting the lead physio.
