Yoga and mediation have been an important part of my life for many years. I learnt to meditate at 17 and started going to weekly yoga classes in my early twenties, to support me in my work as a litigation solicitor in London. In 2000 I qualified as a yoga teacher and I have been teaching yoga full time since then. I believe I have developed a realistic and pragmatic approach to teaching and practicing yoga. The yoga postures I teach support functional movement in daily life and are taught in stages to be accessible to all. In all classes we work with the breath and practice yoga nidra deep relaxation and classical yoga mindfulness meditation techniques.
Trained in Ashtanga in 2009, Francesca has experienced and experimented with many different forms. Her practice and training has expanded to include yoga for the special child, yoga for children, aqua yoga, Mandala yoga, Yin yoga and Mindfulness. She is now a Senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance
This free taster session is a perfect opportunity for complete beginners to learn the basics of African Djembe drumming and discover a new hobby for the New Year! The class is on Thursday 12th January 2023 19:30-20:45 at Duchess Road Community Centre, Shoreham Street (nr St Marys Road), Sheffield, S1 4SR. All djembes are provided.
