Support each child & teen; teach them how to rise above their challenges, be positive, live purposefully & aspire to excel in the areas of their passions. Create an exciting & friendly environment for them to flourish alongside their peers & friends towards being the best they can be. WHY? Emotions can move us to act or hinder us from doing so, hence the word: e-motion. Our aim is to remove emotional hindrances which hold back true potential in children & teenagers. At DreamBigKidz we are passionate about developing the emotional strengths that they need to aspire, achieve and excel. Our inspirational events include a range of activities to excite the passions and interests of children, while crucially teaching important areas of emotional intelligence, such as self esteem, resilience, handling anger and self confidence. We run single sessions as well as group sessions. In the latter, we provide fun activities to develop the students further at home, as well as optional parental / carer support. We want every child and teenage to complete the sessions with a big sense of achievement. Therefore a lot of energy goes into encouraging them with support, rewards, treats and other incentives. Friends of La Cambre was created in 1979. A non-profit association, it organizes events and study trips, and helps support young graduates by creating an annual prize. We are in February 1928. The present association is more recent since it was born in 1979 with a similar object, to support the creation (the investigation) and the pedagogy of the school by its contribution in material and immaterial means. We have this ambition, to support students in carrying out exceptional projects, to support them, more modestly but no less necessarily, in carrying out experiments linked to the school's pedagogies. Other supports can be envisaged, of a social nature for example. What are the Friends of La Cambre made of? They are women and men who have the desire to be linked to the beginning of something that takes shape in the act of creation, who have the desire to offer their own means to its realization by being present because they believe in vita nova (there is creation only because there is life). They are women and men driven by intranquility, who know the fragility of the creative gesture. These are women and men who have decided to accompany the paths of expression, because are we ever sure to say, to show, what we want to say, to show? A school is first and foremost a place of meetings, experiments and therefore exchanges. The Friends of La Cambre can be a part of this place. They are able to bring this unique place that is the school into contact with other worlds, not to be their "sound echo", but to bring something different.

KWES Kent Woodland Employment Scheme is a charity established in 2012 to offer employment (in the form of apprenticeships) to people seeking forestry employment, but having difficulty finding it. Those difficulties stemmed most often from lack of skills and experience, but were worse for those entering the jobs market from an institutionalised life, for instance in the armed forces or prison. KWES’s interest was mainly in mixed broadleaf woodlands – “boots on the ground” forestry in woods managed on a commercial basis. KWES has never been involved in arboriculture, (tree surgery or working at height), nor with hobby or recreational forestry. The word “apprenticeship” signifies a three-way contract, involving the apprentice, an employer and a training organisation. The government’s “trailblazer” apprenticeship scheme set up in 2017 runs (and provides a small level of funds) under rules administered by the Department for Education. It envisages two-year apprenticeships, with the apprentice typically working four days a week in the employer’s business, and being released for one day each week to be taught more theoretical knowledge in the trainer’s accommodation. Looking at this from the employer’s point of view, it gets the services, (part time and part subsidised), of a worker who starts with no skills or experience, but can be expected to gain these over the two year period. “Employing” him/her is thus a pure burden at first for the employer, but its apprentice should be more or less paying his/her way at the end of a couple of years, especially if s/he is still quite young. However, the real value to the employer is that its former apprentice, to be fully “employable” after qualification, needs in most industries another, say, two years of experience – and s/he can realistically only gain this in that same employer’s business, (which explains how the government can say that apprenticeships “lead to a continuing job”). It is the wage-rate that the employer pays his ex-apprentice during this period which gives the employer real value from the whole operation.
