Hello! My name is Ashley Szafranek and I’m a clinical dog behaviourist and trainer based in central Scotland. I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Science awarded by the University of Glasgow in 2012 and began my career in rescue, working for a UK wide animal charity. I quickly identified a need to help people and their dogs before getting to crisis point, preventing the heart breaking decision to rehome, and in 2014 I set up Reach Your Pawtential. Alongside my work in rescue, I have worked with a variety of livestock, wild and domesticated species, spending a year as a primate keeper at Edinburgh Zoo, and even travelled to South Africa to train veterinary clinic staff on welfare and behaviour. In 2019 I became a full member of Britain’s leading professional dog trainer organisation, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT membership number 01411) and I’m an Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC) registered Animal Training Instructor. I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour, graduating with distinction from the University of Lincoln. I am now a candidate member of The Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians (FABC) and I am a provisional member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC). Provisional members have demonstrated that they have the appropriate level of Knowledge and Understanding for the professional role of Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB). I am now gaining the practical experience necessary to be assessed as a CAB and therefore become a full member of the APBC. The APBC supports its provisional members undertaking behaviour consultations. I am also working towards Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) status and I’m pre-certified as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist with Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB). I use positive, reward based training methods informed by the latest science. Sessions are relaxed and fun, with a focus on training in ‘real life’, helping you and your dog ‘reach your pawtential’ together. I’m fully insured and a human and animal first aider. I specialise in working with rescue dogs - if your dog has any additional behaviour requirements for the sessions, simply get in touch to discuss! Sessions are taken at each dog and owner’s pace and not only build the dogs confidence but owner confidence too, equipping you with the necessary skills to navigate life together. As a former primary Head Teacher of three substantive posts and one interim headship, I now enjoy my role in providing independent consultancy support and challenge to leaders at all levels in a wide range of context. I am former School Improvement Partner (SIP) across four Local Authority areas, Ofsted and Diocesan Inspector. I am an accedited and experienced leadership coach and employ a coaching approach to much of my work with the school leaders. I have trained many leaders to become effective coaches and facilitated the implementation of a coaching culture in a number of schools. I continue to facilitate and lead the review of Head Teachers’ performance since its introduction in 2001, across many part of the country. I am tuned into the needs of governors with regard to this and offer training to governors who are new to the process. I have assisted the development of governing bodies in many areas of governance. NICKI BELL Former Head Teacher I first became a Head Teacher in January 1995 and was substantive Head Teacher of three schools and an interim Head Teacher of a fourth. Between my last two headships I worked for four years for a national training company in Cambridge that was, at that time, an affiliated centre for the National College. I was responsible for rolling out a number of a national programmes in the East region, including Leading from the Middle. I retired from headship in 2016. My final school was a three-form entry Infant and Nursery School in Birmingham judged by Ofsted to be an outstanding school. We were federated to our adjoining Junior school which was the lead school in a Teaching School Alliance, (TSA) and I was heavily involved in the CPD element of this. My career has offered lots of opportunities to do exciting things. I was a seconded National College Associate for four years supporting school leadership in the West Midlands. I have been lucky enough to write and deliver leadership training in many different places, the two most distant being in the Middle East and China. I now have two roles. I am Director of Primary Education for a Trust for 40% of my time and the rest of my working life is freelance, frequently working with Alistair. We write and deliver training for leaders, at all levels, in primary schools and develop resources to support head teachers with many of the bureaucratic tasks of headship. Alongside this I do a lot of 1-1 support of schools, acting as an Improvement Partner, supporting HT performance management and providing CPD.

I’m an artist based in Birmingham with a great love for all things creative. From a young age, creating has been therapeutic for me, giving an outlet and response to the changing world around me. In my late teens I took a traditional route studying Fine Art, going on to use my skills to support communities and people of all ages. This included working with play schemes and youth groups, bringing as many creative experiences as I could – despite incredibly low budgets! Over the years I developed a passion for mosaic and began to specialise in creating large scale mosaic installations, initially within educational and community environments. What I love about mosaic is its accessibility for all, and the collaboration and teamwork it brings. As a process I enjoy watching people’s confidence grow, the relationships built along the way and the pride shared in the finished product of a permanent installation on a wall or in the ground that the whole community can enjoy & share. I love that my work becomes part of a shared history for those that have worked on it, been part of the commissioning process and have inspired it. I consider myself a visual storyteller and enjoy helping others to share their stories in a unique and engaging way. I love exploring new places, meeting new people and creating bespoke and site-specific artworks. I relish the challenge of meeting a client’s brief, whatever that may be and have vast experience working with a wide range of clients over the years, working creatively in many differing environments. Throughout my career I have explored other media and methods within my commissions, moving from a purely handmade traditional approach, to incorporating digital media and new technologies. This fresh approach has expanded my vision of what can be achieved in my public artworks allowing me to widen my practice and include other mediums. It has also equipped me with new skills that I enjoy sharing through public participation and my ability to offer a wider scope of media in my response to the needs of commissioners. I’m excited to further this innovative approach and as a member of the Crafts Council and STEAMhouse Birmingham, I look forward to continuing to explore my digital and technological skills in the future. Each commission excites me and is a new adventure and I pride myself in delivering high quality permanent artworks, delivered on time and within budget. Her training started by assisting Miriam Bartholomew (her mother and top hair and makeup artist in Cape Town S.A) for beautiful hair and makeup, as well as Dulcie Bebe in Australia for Makeup and Hair training with Toni and Guy London after studying specialist hair colour training with David Bartholomew ( her dad) Nominated in Sydney Australia for colourist of the year for Wella international. Victoria continued to work in film, fashion and commercials in the hair and makeup industry in cape town, Sydney and then returning to live in London for 5 years before moving to West Yorkshire then Liverpool. Her love of film grew and she embarked on a series of courses through Raindance Film in Soho, completing the Directing for Film and Producing course while working for them. This took her onto her next challenge choreography where she worked at London’s premier dance school on Oxford street London Dance works and learnt from the best contemporary dance teachers what works for theatre, film and music video’s understanding the different dance disciplines from ballet to hip hop. Following all of her incredible achievements, Victoria then decided to pass on her hair and makeup knowledge to the next generation and completed her Diploma in Teaching while lecturing as the lead makeup tutor for Riverside College in Cheshire up until August 2016 and from then on went on to create Global Makeup, Hair and Productions Academy Ltd.
