ZunTold is an independent publishing company, based in Manchester, focusing on publishing good fiction to support mental health and wellbeing. We publish Middle Grade and YA fiction and love working with established voices as well as debut authors. Our authors have been nominated for literary prizes, including the Carnegie Medal, and won prestigious awards too, like the Lancashire Book of the Year Award, chosen solely by young people aged 13-14 years of age. We work with agented authors but twice a year, (in June for YA and in December for Middle Grade) we open our doors to authors who do not have an agent. We do not publish picture books as we don’t have the expertise to do so. We publish in print, e-book and interactive books. We run a programme we call Fiction as Therapy. Our staff are publishing professionals, writers, editors, counsellors and psychotherapists who have also trained in Therapeutic Writing. Books are 'healers for the soul' and creative writing brings many health benefits. Our Fiction as Therapy service offers a therapeutic programme of bibliotherapy across different age audiences and creative writing for therapeutic purposes, for young people and adults looking to support their mental and physical health and wellbeing. There is a growing evidence base that therapeutic writing and bibliotherapy can support people with long term physical health conditions as well as improving mental health. We are building links with NHS Trusts and Social Care providing an online library and blended services of tailored support to individuals and communities.

The solution focused (SF) approach is compassionate, powerful, hopeful and effective. It works with people to achieve their hoped-for change. It places people as experts in their own their life's, whilst allowing them to build on their existing strengths and capabilities. It helps them to achieve their desired outcomes. The SF approach works with people to enable them to have a clear vision of how they want their life to be, how they would like things to be different. It's about noticing the presence of what's wanted, rather than the absence of what's not wanted. The SF approach also encourages people to notice what’s working already, about confirming that and building on it, and not about focusing on or analysing the problem. Developed in the 1980’s in Milwaukee, USA, the SF approach was developed as a model of therapy. However, it is now widely applied across, health, social care, and educational settings. The SF approach can be applied in any setting, whether it be an organisation, a community, a group, a family, parents, or individuals. One of SF’s keys strengths is its focus on simplicity, which makes it so accessible as well as applicable in so many settings. About Me As the founder of Solution Revolution, I am passionate in my belief that the solution focused approach can help anyone. I am a qualified Solution Focused (SF) Practitioner and social worker, and I've seen first hand how the SF technique can be used effectively with children, young people, and their families, to support positive change, no matter how difficult the situation. For children and young people, it can be applied at all levels of education, and it can enhance the education experience of every child and their teachers. As Solution Revolution, I am immensely proud to have worked with most of the primary and secondary schools across Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire. This work has ranged from hugely successful one-to-one work, group work, and staff training. Solution Revolution has a strong, working relationship with the Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority, and with the Schools Sport Partnership Board, who I collaborate with on a group work initiative called Active Solutions. This initiative brings SF and sport together and this is being delivered in primary schools across Bath. This project is continuing to grow, and the positive impact on the children involved has been celebrated by their schools. I am passionate about local community, and have recently expanded my group work with children and young people. Workshops now include drama and production, in collaboration with some notable local actors and DJs. I'm a huge advocate of youth involvement. Alongside organisations such as Boys in Mind, Girls Mind Too, and the UK Association for Solution Focused Practitioners, we are working together to ensure young people's voices are heard in schools and in the community. I am passionate about my work and the results the SF approach can bring about in people's lives. If you'd like to chat to me about this work, do get in touch!

WHAT WE DO The Sourdough School is a research institute for the study of the nutrition and digestibility of bread. The school is run by Vanessa Kimbell – baker, best-selling author, a regular contributor to the BBC4 Food Programme, researcher and teacher. It is at the Sourdough School that we research, develop and create sourdough bread – but it is more than just bread, and it’s more than just a school. Over the last few years, the gut microbiome and its role in supporting digestion and our mental and physical health has been one of our main areas of research. HOW WE TEACH YOU TO MAKE SOURDOUGH The Sourdough Club is where we teach you how to make our amazing bread. It is the part of The Sourdough School where we share our recipes, tutorials, tips, lessons and support you so that you can learn how to make Sourdough where ever you are. WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT? Here at the school Vanessa and the team have taken the most up to date scientific findings and applied them to sourdough and other fermented foods, working towards our mission to scientifically prove that sourdough and gut-friendly nutritious food can have a positive impact on our physical and mental health. THE SCHOOL: The Sourdough School is more than a cookery school. It’s about sharing incredible scientific knowledge about the connection of bread and our gut microbiome. It’s supported by a network of medical professionals, scientists, wheat breeders, nutritionists, specialist bakers, researchers, academics and we’ve been pooling the research on sourdough & fermentation from all over the world into a central point. We develop recipes, techniques and formula’s as our aim is not just to study, but conduct our own research on formula’s & grains and fermentation and to share what we find. It’s about applying evidence and the practical application of fermenting and baking into delicious, affordable nutritious bread recipes to bake, to eat and to enjoy. The Sourdough School has featured in the 3 BEST courses in the UK in the Sunday Times and in The Telegraph top ten baking courses in the UK, as well being included in the London Evening Standard top course in the UK. Each year the Sourdough School has: Research and development workshops working on different themed areas from bread and guts, sourdough for non-coeliac gluten sensitivity, IBS, blood sugar management, sports and mental health. An annual week-long diploma focusing on in-depth analysis on bread and guts. Research study groups with renowned neuroscientists, wheat breeders, microbiologists, scientists and medical professionals. Her own research development kitchen applying the scientific findings about bread and fermented foods to create new bread formulas and recipes. A clinical study as part of her PhD working with De Montford University and baking innovation group Puratos. The school also has an online offering called the Sourdough Club where people can learn how to make sourdough online via in-depth video masterclasses hosted by Vanessa. Until easter this year our we held RCGP accredited for our nutrition and digestion of bread diploma. We decided not to renew our subscription to allow for longer courses that included more baking.
