Yolande’s first introduction to yoga was back in 1994, when a friend took her along to the local sports centre, to explore what this ancient form of “exercise” had to offer. The class was full and felt and smelt nice. A waft of incense and the subtle background sounds of Indian chants welcomed them in and she was kind of already sold at this point. The teacher a wonderful women called Sharon, from the sivinananda linage, spoke softly and taught various breathing techniques and body postures, that left her feeling strong and relaxed at the same time. She returned each week, and yoga has been Yolande’s bedrock ever since. Over the years Yolande has felt privileged to have spent time with many great teachers, all offering their own perspectives and experiences of yoga which have inspired, and paved the path for her own healing and transformation. After many years of practicing Yolande went on to study with Katy Appleton of appleyoga in London for her 200hr Yoga Teaching certificate, so she could go on to teach her passion, pregnancy yoga. Yolande studied pregnancy and postnatal yoga with Nadia Narain at Triyoga in London and as an Active Birth Teacher with Janet Balaskas. Yolande has also been supporting women and their partners as a birth doula since 2013. Having established a teaching practice the call to study deeper lead her to Rishikesh, India to study with Akhanda Yoga, under the guidance of Yogrishi Vishvketu, and complete 300hr Advanced Yoga Teaching certification and was given her spiritual name Jeevika Devi.

An idea sparked during the Middle East boom in the late 70s… It was a time of lucrative trade, a fast-paced world with minds and hearts brimming with ambition. We started with creating traditional carpets and dhurries in historic and transitional designs and colours. This endeavour, started with good fortune which led to the setting up of our stunning factory in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. In order to be true to our theme and idea of mystery, intrigue and culture, we built a magnificent Haveli to be the heart of our production. It is a one of a kind factory, and surely, it has played a huge role in our growth and success. Along this journey, we found ourselves gravitating towards adding a home textile range to the carpet and dhurrie offerings, thereby, allowing us to provide our customers with a coordinated look, and products by themselves. This again, allowed us to fill another gap in the market…We now satisfied the needs of dressing entire spaces with styles and pieces that were created to complement each other. Steadily, Zeba was growing. Our teams expanded, our reach broadened, our ideas multiplied and finally Zeba was coming into her own. The ACF can trace its beginnings to 1859 when there was a threat of invasion by the French. The British Army was still heavily involved abroad after the Indian mutinies, and therefore had very few units in this country. The Volunteers were formed to repel the possible invasion. History was to repeat itself in 1940 during the Second World War when the Home Guard was formed to help counter a threatened invasion by the German Army. Immediately following the formation of the Volunteers came the start of the Cadets. In 1860 at least eight schools had formed Volunteer companies for their senior boys and masters, and a number of volunteer units had started their own cadet companies. Typical of these were the Queen’s Westminster’s who placed their 35 Cadets at their head when they marched past Queen Victoria at her Hyde Park Review of the Volunteers in 1860. As in 1940, the 1859 invasion did not materialise. The cadet movement continued, however, because many social workers and teachers saw in it great value as an organisation for the benefit of boys, particularly bearing in mind the appalling conditions in which so many of them lived. Among these pioneer workers was Miss Octavia Hill who had done a great deal to establish the National Trust. She was certainly not a militarist. She formed the Southwark Cadet Company in order to introduce the boys of the slums of that area to the virtues of order, cleanliness, teamwork and self-reliance. The present conception of the Army Cadet Force as a voluntary youth organisation, helped and inspired by the Army, really stems from that time and has continued throughout the ACF’s history.

I am here as an eternal student. Yogic practices found a way into my life after graduating from Fashion Design and in want of a whole new direction. The path I’d been on until graduation felt unaligned and this new vision took me to India where I travelled and studied for 8 months. One conversation with a complete stranger early on in my travels stuck with me. I was waiting outside about to go into my first yoga class since arriving. A few of us got to chatting about why we were there. One girl said she just wanted to get her daily meditation practice back. She said, “life is just better when you meditate. I don’t know why, it just is.” Since then I have learnt many techniques and found reasons why meditation enriches anyones life who is willing to dive in but this simple and profound statement is what I come back to again and again. Life is just better. During this time I went on to complete Inteyoga 200 hour teacher training in Mysore. I then returned the following year to complete the 500 hour course. This path and solid foundation took me back to the Isle of Mull, Scotland where I grew up to start teaching Inteyoga, an integration of traditional Indian Hatha yoga practices from the Sivananda and Krishnananda lineages. Since then I have developed a strong meditation and intuition practice which led me to visit London to complete reiki levels 1&2. This has been a beautiful revelation that allows me to give distance healings using this powerful universal life force to YOU wherever you are in the world!

As a coach, Seth is dedicated to helping people calm, empower and rejuvenate their busy minds and bodies to achieve the best versions of themselves. Seth brings a wealth of experience holding heart-centered spaces. His in-depth studies, trainings, personal experiences of many therapeutic modalities such as Humanistic & Body Psychotherapy, the Human Potential Movement, 5 Rhythms, Active meditations and the teaching of the Indian Mystic Osho who he grew up with in India in the 1970s, infuse his approach to living a creative, holistic & embodied life and sharing his unique offerings with others. Seth has been facilitating regular workshops for many years. As a musician, Seth is very passionate about rhythm & drumming, has an MA in Community Music from Goldsmith College, worked as a world music percussion teacher in East London schools for almost 20 years, created URUBU collective back in 2009 as a Live Music Ecstatic Dance experience with Afro-Brazilian drummers & musicians and started his journey as an avid DJ with a love for Afro-Beat, Cuban and Brazilian music and created an Ecstatic Dance scene in London and the UK.  When I experienced kinesiology for digestive issues, it literally changed my life for the better. My digestive discomfort disappeared, I had more energy and felt the recommendations given for dietary choices improved my health and wellbeing. From that moment, I was determined to learn and train as a Kinesiologist to support friends, family and clients with health conditions. Having practised kinesiology for over 10 years, I have supported clients with varying health problems including digestive, fertility, hormonal, stress, structural/joint issues, skin conditions as well as clients in pain. I love seeing the progress of individuals who have felt the benefit of the session. I give guidance and support for lifestyle and nutritional changes so clients can make informed decisions on improving their health and wellbeing. I am also passionate about delivering both the Foundation and Diploma courses in kinesiology. I provide personalised courses to suit all levels of expertise and tailor the course to suit your individual needs and requirements.
