Penn Fields educates 195 students from Early Years to Post 16, with a range of needs that are supported through the day to day school experience as well as specialist interventions from the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) working alongside students and their parents/careers. MDT includes: School Nurse, Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, CAMH’s clinician, Counselling and Play Therapists. All professionals meet regularly to ensure a joined up approach with each student they work with. At Penn Fields all students are encouraged to strive to be the best at what they do, whilst trying as hard as they can within all elements of Penn Fields school life. The British Woodworking Federation is the trade association for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industry in the UK. We have over 700 members drawn from manufacturers, distributors and installers of timber doors, windows, conservatories, staircases, furniture, all forms of bespoke, interior and architectural joinery as well as suppliers to the industry. The woodworking sector as a whole is a £3.8 billion industry operating at the heart of UK manufacturing. The Federation strives to provide the best possible service to our members and to ensure that service represents the best value for their subscription fee. Central to the BWF is our Code of Conduct, against which all members are audited. We believe this is the basis of our success in recruiting and retaining quality members; it drives us on towards achieving our ambition to be the trade association of choice for every woodworking enterprise in the UK. Our focus is on ‘Building it Better with Wood’, promoting the inherent advantages of wood and helping our members to achieve more around our themes of healthy, sustainable, productive and safe ways of working. The BWF is also a community and brings together individuals and companies within the industry to share problems and experiences and find solutions together. OUR BACKGROUND The story of Nova began in 2002. At that time, the founder of Nova, started his first humble furniture retail outlet of 3,000 square feet, Crawford Italia Pte Ltd, in Crawford Centre. A team of 4 staff worked for hand in hand to manage Crawford Italia which focuses on living room concept furniture retail. After a year of operations, the excellent sales performance of Crawford Italia motivated the team to consider taking on a bigger outlet to enable the business to grow. The success of the pioneer team with their accumulated experience in furniture retail & operations, in-depth understanding of the local furniture market and their entrepreneurial spirit to make things happen, propelled the team to take on a bold decision to take up a 20,000 square feet outlet in A-Z Building in Paya Lebar in 2003. That was the birth of Nova. Since then we never looked back; and by 2006, another 20,000 square feet outlet was taken up. This time round to cater to people in the West part of Singapore, in Tradehub 21 in Boon Lay Way. Following that, a 3rd outlet was opened in May 2008, in Sungei Kadut, north-west of Singapore. Our next new export outlet of 30,000 square feet in Ang Mo Kio, targeted for operations in Aug 08, will be serving residents in the North. Besides Singapore, plans are also in the pipeline to start our retail operations in Malaysia in end of 2008.

There really is such a thing as climate change. Scientific evidence suggests that the earth is hotter than it used to be and that the temperature will continue to rise if we don't act now to stop it. Living Earth Community is at the forefront of informing the public about this subject. Our goal is to establish a stewardship footprint that promotes environmental awareness to combat climate change. We create environmental awareness through global outreach and social media such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. GENERATIONAL AWARENESS Additionally, our climate change group customizes efforts for different generations, because where you are in life dictates how you act. Our goal isn't to just inform, but to create a series of steps that people can take to make the change. We want you to feel comfortable coming to us for information because you know we will convey the truth. If we don't have the information you need, we'll help you find it and provide links to it. LEARN AND ACT Everything we do is focused on building the Living Earth Community and creating awareness for everyone's footprint. For example, we help you understand why a $2.25 plastic bottle of water will cost over $125.00 by the time it's picked up and recycled. Additionally, stay tuned for a video series on bees that chronicles the research being done on them and how we need to provide sanctuaries for bees.

ECA has always been a place of experimentation and collaboration, celebrated for enabling students from different disciplines to work alongside and with each other, and for creating strong linkages with other institutions. We trace our history back to the Trustees’ Academy founded in the 1760s which, over the course of the next century, operated from some of the most iconic buildings in the city, including the University’s Old College and what is now the Royal Scottish Academy. The first Professorship in an ECA subject area was created for Music in 1839 in the name of John Reid, with the Watson Gordon Chair of Fine Art founded some forty years later, the first of its kind in the British Isles and a turning point in the teaching of the History of Art. Following the establishment of the Reid Concert series in 1841, which continues to this day, the Reid Concert Hall was built in 1859. We’ve been known as Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) since 1906, following a major reorganisation of higher art education in Scotland. At the time, we were governed by the city Council and divided into four Schools: Drawing and Painting, Design and Crafts, Architecture, and Sculpture. We moved into what is still our Main Building in 1909, when the first of our annual Revel parties took place and, by 1913, our Cast Collection had been installed in the Sculpture Court.

I am a caring and patient qualified Primary Teacher with over 7 years classroom experience. I have worked with a wide range of students including those with special educational needs. I have been tutoring since 2018 originally both Face to Face and Online, but since March 2020 I now offer online tuition only which I have found to be most effective for students of all ages. I offer bespoke lessons, always tailoring the level of work covered to the individual student’s needs and interests. To develop both their self-confidence and attainment levels. Offering tuition in the following subjects for ages 4 – 12 yrs (EYFS – Year 6 & Year 7): Maths English (Phonics, Reading, Handwriting, Creative Writing and SPAG) Science I also offer Test Preparation for: Year 1 – Phonics screening Year 4 – Time Tables Year 2 and Year 6 – KS1 & KS2 SATs – for Year 2 and Year 6 Focusing on exam technique, building confidence and covering any areas of the Maths and English curriculum required to enable the child to complete SATs confidently. I can also offer Transition to Secondary School Tuition – for children who lack confidence or have gaps in their learning from their time in Year 6, to enable them to reach their potential in Year 7.

The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust (DGAT) is a multi-academy trust established by the Diocesan Board of Education (DBE) in 2012. The Trust is part of the wider family of Church of England schools in the Diocese of Gloucester. More information about Diocesan Schools can be found here. Our purpose is to provide children of all faiths and none, with excellent educational provision which transforms lives within a caring and supportive Christian ethos. Our family of schools is fully inclusive and welcoming to all. There are currently 18 primary schools and one infant school within the Trust. Eighteen of the 19 academies have a religious designation as Church of England schools. All of the academies are located in Gloucestershire Local Authority. Supporting the spiritual, moral, social, cultural and physical development of each child, as well as maximising their progress, achievement and attainment to ensure their intellectual growth, is key. In tandem with this is the drive to support and develop the staff within the family of schools. In order to build strong learning communities, the Trust ensures that schools are confident and outward-facing in all that they do, building strong, effective links with parents, parishes, local schools, community groups and the wider educational community.
