You can now access a wider range of courses including: Health & Safety at Work, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding, Fire Safety, Education & Training Level 3 and much more. You’ll also find links to sign up to courses that I’ll be holding. All Qualsafe courses are certified qualifications & are regulated by Ofqual. Any Qualsafe qualfication that you do with me can be added to your digital learning record. Your learning record holds all of your qualifications from 2012 and can be accessed by educational institutions and employers, so you can make sure your credentials are proven. I am working hard on offering live/online workshops linked with live events services: volunteering, awareness of vulnerable groups, disability recognition, ALN/SEND & much more! The service will provide a thorough seven-day scaffolding inspection in accordance with the Working at Height Regulations, 2005. The launch from the firm, which has more than 25 years of expertise in the field, meets massive demand from the sector, offering a fully compliant service to comply with SG4. As well as mandatory weekly scaffold inspections, the team will also provide one off inspections, independent scaffold inspections, Anchor Tie Pull Out Testing, PASMA aluminium tower inspections, advanced design structure inspections and incident and accident investigations. Expert advice on access solutions will also be on offer. All audits and inspection reports will provide detailed information regarding remedial works required within an appropriate timescale, complete with photographs. Ronnie Charters, HSEQ Manager for JR Scaffold will be leading with the new inspection service. He has more 30 years’ experience within the scaffold industry and is the current regional chair for Scotland / Northern Ireland for NASC. As the NCC / CITB access instructor / safety advisor for all National Construction colleges throughout the UK, Ronnie has been carrying out safety site audits and scaffolding weekly inspections for various clients throughout the UK and abroad for more than 20 years. Ronnie Charters, HSEQ Manager, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer this invaluable service to the industry considering the current high demand, and at the same time satisfying the shortage of accredited, competent personnel available to carry out this type of work. “The demand for this type of service is massive as there is a conflict of interest once a company erects a structure and carries out its own scaffold inspections. Introducing an impartial company to carry out audits and inspections provides peace of mind for all involved. “By using a service like this, it will ensure that all scaffold structures meet appropriate safety standards before first use, and they will be inspected at intervals of no more than the seven days until it is dismantled. It will inspect structures after extreme weather conditions, high winds or any other events likely to affect its strength or stability, as well as after any substantial additions or alterations or after any unauthorised or third-party interference. “We look forward to rolling this service out, providing much-needed support to the sector.” The JR Group employs around 200 staff and was founded in Govan in 1995. It started as a scaffolding business and is now one of the largest building and construction firms in Scotland. Highlanes Municipal Art Gallery opened its doors on October 4, 2006 and was the culmination of many years planning to deliver a dedicated visual art space for the Irish north east region, of an international standard in terms of design, management, environmental control and security. The gallery is sited in the former Drogheda Franciscan Church and part of the Friary; known locally as the ‘High Lane Church’. The Franciscans gifted the property to the people of Drogheda when they ended their 760 year association with the town in 2000. The buildings date from the early 19th century, though elements date back to earlier times and include the former Franciscan burial crypts. The main exhibition spaces are open plan and include the old Church level and a new floor at the height of the old balcony and as such, the character of the building is not lost. The Board of management raised over €4 million from international and local funding and donations. This was a major achievement for the town. As part of the development of the gallery the Board made a strategic decision to purchase much of the adjoining property a number of years ago, to enable it to plan for Highlanes Munipal Art Gallery’s long-term development. Much of this property has been incorporated in the development.

The Birmingham Medical Institute (BMI) was founded in 1875 as a membership organization to provide a meeting place and medical library for the medical profession in Birmingham and the surrounding area. Its location moved from various sites in the city to 36, Harborne Road in 1957. Here it was joined by the West Midlands Regional office of the BMA and Local Medical Committee. It was initially a Library, then a Social Club but in 2009 became the BMI Conference Centre. Much of the activity was based upon the requirements of outside organisations for meetings, conferences and catering. From January 2016 the BMI relocated to the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce. It follows, that instead of administering a building hired for the conduct of meetings etc, the activity will be solely the organisation of meetings. Coincident with this move is the change in medical postgraduate education based upon Health Education, England. There will therefore be an even greater need for the smaller medical organisations to be brought together, a role that the BMI is well placed to fulfil. In order to accomplish its mission its future activity will be concentrated upon Primary care and Public Health because secondary care education is now largely organised nationally by the Royal Colleges and Specialty Societies. As a Yoga teacher she teaches Yoga inspired movement that is slow paced and breath oriented with some elements of strength building. It focuses on finding space and length in a body, connecting to the breath and activating parasym- pathetic nervous system. While practicing postures the students are asked to enquire about the ‘feeling’ sensations in the body. Ashka is also a trained Counsellor. She has found lots of parallel between yoga and Counselling as both can help the clients to focus on the present moment, enhance the ability to observe thoughts and feelings and gain greater self- awareness. In Ashka’s opinion they beautifully complement each other and together they give an opportunity to work in a complementary way with both Body and Mind. We are multidimensional beings and our well being is not only associated with mind and body, To consider ourselves as a whole we need to recognise that we are a part of something bigger, of nature, or universe. Ashka is also a Reiki Master bringing all three dimensions of Mind, Body and Spirit into her work. Ashka has interest in various traditions: Western Esoterism, Mysticism, Yogic philosophy and Buddhism and have trained as a Meditation Teacher and in various yoga styles: Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative and Yin Yoga. Her practices are informed by these disciplines.
