The ATC is a community based uniformed organisation for people between the ages of 13 and 20. The aims of the ATC are to: Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship We are not a recruiting organisation for the RAF but if you're thinking about a Service career, cadet membership will put you ahead of the competition. Many cadets go on to great success in the RAF. Around 40% of officers and 50% of all aircrew in the RAF now are ex-cadets. Research shows that they do better in basic training and stay in the Service longer than their colleagues. Likewise, if you chose a civilian career research proves you can go on the great things...employers just love the skills and experience that air cadets offer. The cadet structure is based on the rank structure used within the RAF, being promoted shows your leadership abilities and gives you more responsibilities. We also have a full training scheme that can lead to real qualifications, this is mainly geared towards aviation studies, but a full range of qualifications is available. The Romani Cultural Arts Company. is the leading Romani and Traveller community-based organisation in Wales, traditionally using the arts and culture as a vehicle for advocacy and empowerment, amongst the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities. RCAC is also supporting individuals to become “Community Champions”, as actors and agents of change in their own communities, making a difference for themselves and the wider society. RCAC is managed by a Board (voluntary management committee) made up of representatives from the GRT communities, meaning that community members have a role as decision-makers and are part of the process of shaping the advocacy and rights agenda that RCAC promotes. The Company believes it is essential that the GRT communities be at the forefront of social progress and positive developments in social inclusion, in the struggle or the recognition of GRT rights and promoting inter-cultural understanding. Within Wales and increasingly across the UK, our advice and expertise is sought by local governments, policy-makers, decision-takers and local or national institutions. We are asked to evaluate the effectiveness of their policies and strategies or to support them in consultation to ensure the voice of the GRT communities they serve, is heard. We lead on advocacy for these vulnerable communities, influencing the policy and strategy agendas in the context of a devolved Welsh Government and increasingly internationally across the UK. Ambrogio McClintock – RICEY – is the unique mix of Italian and Scottish giving you an extremely passionate and unforgettable instructor whose love and passion for skiing is infectious. His ability to connect with all levels and ages of learners makes each lesson an individual and magical experience. Ricey has over 20 years teaching experience, and is qualified to the highest level (BASI International Ski Teacher Diploma – I.S.T.D). He has taught in a number of countries from Scotland to Spain, Italy to France, New Zealand to Switzerland, and beyond, and in 2004 settled in Morzine where he has been teaching since. Ricey’s passion for teaching has lead him down a number of development paths to ensure that he is the best teacher he can be. He spends the Autumn coaching ski instructors for the European Speed Test (Giant Slalom), in Saas Fee with JJC Training. As well as ski coaching he is the resident psychological coach preparing the athletes and helping them to clear their minds, focus and realise their full potential. He is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming after developing an interest in the psychological aspect of learning & performing early on in his ski teaching career. Ricey uses a number of methods in his day to day ski teaching and coaching. He takes great interest and pleasure in seeing the transformation of clients and helping them reach places they didn’t think possible. For a child who cannot swim, this can lead to disaster. It becomes particularly dangerous if the adults around a child cannot swim either. An instance where a child who innocently stumbles into a bucket of water, falls from a boat, leans over too far while looking at fish in a fish pond, falls or is pushed by another child into a pool could turn deadly if that child can't swim. From our watertoddlers to our adults, the safety of all our swimmers is our first priority. Swimming is an extremely important life saving skill that you should not neglect. Our philosophy is simple To passionately deliver the highest quality swimming experience to toddlers, children and adults while staying safe, having fun and keeping fit. Our classes are built around safety in the water. Our focus is to teach swimming from toddler to adulthood in a safe environment for all swimmers. We encourage parents to get involved in teaching their toddlers basic safety skills in the water and we assist parents to develop their toddlers’ natural swimming ability. As with any activity, an element of fun must always be present. Fun motivates us to continue to learn and hang in there when things become a little more challenging. We achieve this through play, which creates a fun and exciting environment for all levels of swimmers.
