About Heath House Preparatory School Established in 1993, Heath House is a co-educational independent preparatory school for children aged between three and eleven. Heath House is a small, private and friendly school where children are happy to learn in a stimulating environment. The school has a strong child-centred approach with an environment designed to encourage every child, of all ages and abilities, to achieve their maximum potential. Set in the heart of Blackheath Village, SE3, the school has three annexes to its main building in Wemyss Road - Tranquil Hall, the original village school building (1851), The Old Library in Blackheath Grove and further afield, 'Aux Mottaux' in Villars, Switzerland. Our school day is busy where children feel a sense of excitement and achievement – a fast structured pace giving a sense of urgency in their quest for excellence. The school timetable encourages children to work hard in the mornings and then after lunch, children are very active and take part in sporting and creative activities. Trips, educational visits and workshops are wide-ranging and packed into an activity-filled academic year. The school also has a busy and diverse Extra-Curricular programme, with daily Extra-Curricular Clubs and a variety of residential trips for Heath House pupils. Therapy Services – Symbol has one of the largest teams of Speech and Language Therapists in the UK offering specialist assessment, intervention, training and consultancy for children and adults with special needs. In addition, Symbol also employs Social Workers, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Therapists and Nurses in its Family Assessment Services. Symbol is increasingly deploying expertise from these valuable in-house therapeutic resources across all its activities giving Symbol a unique offer to the people who use and buy its services. Family Assessment Centre & Community Support – Symbol operates up to 10 places for parents with learning disabilities undertaking a parenting assessment and intervention service (Commissioned by the Family Law Courts and Local Authority Children’s Services) and provides 9 families with longer-term specialist parenting support in the community post-assessment. Day Opportunities (The Hopyard Services) – Symbol supports 54 people with learning disabilities in a range of meaningful activities to promote skills in work, learning and leisure operating out of 2 separate sites in Kent. Supported Living – Symbol currently supports 50 people with learning disabilities living in 15 different ordinary houses where they live as tenants. This service is growing rapidly in response to local demand. Short Breaks/Respite Care – Symbol is working with 35 young people and adults providing regular short breaks. The demand for this service is also growing. We have the facility to support up to 13 people at any one time. Community Support – Symbol supports 8 people living in their own homes on a peripatetic basis.

CORE Kids Academy is a unique gymnastics and ninja program for children. We offer a wide variety of classes for every age group, skill set, and schedule. The goal of every class we teach is to provide a fun, friendly environment where our students can learn new skills, build strength, improve coordination, and let their self-confidence flourish. We also offer fun-filled birthday parties, summer and winter camps and special events. With adaptable lesson plans that can be easily modified to the individual needs of each child, we incorporate students of all gymnastics abilities and backgrounds. Classes are grouped by age, and skills are taught through personal coaching in a group setting. Fun active childcare during the school holidays. Energy Kidz Ofsted Registered Holiday Clubs run every school holiday for primary school aged children.Breakfast Club In preparation for a busy school day, the Breakfast Club focuses on quieter activities, such as Lego, arts and crafts, puzzles, toys and board games. Children get dropped off by parents any time from the start of the session. At the end of the session Key Stage 2 children are released to make their own way to their classes, while Key Stage 1 children are escorted to their class teacher or a designated drop off point. After School Club In our After School Clubs, we pride ourselves in delivering a fun, happy and safe place for children to freely play with their friends, take part in activities, art and craft, sport, chill out or enjoy the variety of toys and games available. The club is set up to provide a fun and stimulating environment when the child arrives. There are activities such as Lego, puzzles, toys and board games so children can start playing straight away. Children are able to go outside as soon as possible each day (normally once everyone is registered and the playground has cleared). Children are able to flow between the indoor and outdoor area. Children can freely play outside, taking advantage of the school facilities including adventure play areas where they are available. There is also equipment such as skipping ropes and sports equipment, as well as go karts and scooters at some clubs too.

The Rochester Grammar School is a high-performing secondary which is part of the TSA Trust where diversity is celebrated as we create a safe and inspiring place for children to learn; where their rights are respected and they are able to develop their talents and abilities to their full potential. We started our RRSA journey in September 2021 and have achieved the Bronze Right Respecting School Award (RRSA) and are now working towards achieving our Silver Award. The RRSA (Rights Respecting Schools Award) is awarded by Unicef. Unicef is the world’s leading organisation working for children and young people and their rights. In 1989, governments across the world agreed that all children have the same rights by adopting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). These rights are based on what a child needs to survive, grow, participate and fulfil their potential. The Award recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of a school’s planning, policies and practice. All children are taught about their rights at the Rochester Grammar School. Rights are the focus each week during form time with key discussion points and reflections activities. We also have a steering group where children come together to discuss their Rights. We celebrate our diversity as a school community as we endeavour to develop young people who are fully cognisant of their rights whilst respecting the rights of all members of our school community. As we work towards the SILVER accreditation we have: Weekly form assemblies where students use RRSA’s resources to explore the articles from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. These are linked to mental health, online safety, identity or equality and other topics. Planned for each form to create their own Form Charter that encourages children to behave in a 'rights respecting' manner. Established a 'Steering Group' of adults and children who help to drive the programme across the school. This captures the voice of the child and adds to the important jobs our Student Leaders already do. Undertaken staff CPD to secure a commitment from the whole staff to the principles of the RRSA and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Conducted a planning review: We are in the process of reviewing the KS3 curriculum to embed issues and themes of the UN Convention across our subject areas so that the children visit and revisit important concepts throughout their learning journey.

If your county qualifies for the finals another 3 games. another Saturday of chess !! So you have made it to top boards in County matches. Interested to go National ? Going further you have to play chess on many weekends. Begin with half day rapid then move on to longer time control. playing in long play events and gaining grading points. reaching 100 plus is an indication of skill among juniors.
