Bradford

Manningham Mills Sports & Community Association is a charity based in Bradford. For over 150 years, we’ve been bringing people together through sports at our Scotchman Road location. We started our journey as Manningham Mills Cricket Club, a branch of the Lister Mill Sports & Social Club. Originally built in 1838, Lister Mills was once the world’s largest silk mill. Over 7,000 workers had access to our fields for football, cricket and tennis and the social club for table tennis, snooker, bowls and ballroom dancing. After the Mill’s closure in the 1990s, the site was sold to property developers. Members of the Manningham Mills team (Andrew Shepherd, Michael Kaye, Jeff Slater and Delroy Dacres) asked for support from local MP Marsha Singh. Following some investigation, Marsha Singh discovered that a Lister Mills covenant meant the fields could only be used for sports and recreation. Once the property developers were notified, they agreed to sell the fields to Manningham Mills, who secured government funding. The new trustees placed the fields in a trust, protecting their use for sports and recreation for future generations – and changed the name from Manningham Mills to Manningham Mills Sports Association. In June 2006, following a £1.3ml investment, the club reopened with a modern and accessible clubhouse, an electronic cricket scoreboard, IT suite, players’ lounge and multi-function events space. An official opening took place with Gerry Sutcliffe MP, the Sports Minister at the time. In 2008, we became a charity and updated our name to Manningham Mills Sports & Community Association. The club’s legacy continues with a new generation of sports players, including cricketer Adil Rashid, part of the England team that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

WHO WE ARE The first meeting of the chiropractic licensing boards was held in 1919. The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards became an organization officially in 1926, with different names over the years. Our purposes are detailed in the Certificate of Incorporation. In summary, these deal with maintaining high, uniform standards in areas related to chiropractic licensure, regulation, discipline, and education. The corporation is non-profit, deriving its income from member dues, directory sales, financial donations and conference fees. Dues are based on the number of active chiropractic licenses. The FCLB serves as a clearinghouse and forum for the discussion of important political issues. The annual conference and district meetings provide an opportunity for a healthy exchange of ideas and viewpoints, as well as unified adoption of resolutions protecting the profession's examining regulatory standards and ultimately the consumer public. The CIN-BAD system offers several informational databases to member boards and other subscribers. CIN-BAD's ever-expanding databases are increasingly significant to regulatory boards, chiropractic colleges, managed care providers, law enforcement, and the public. Eligible members of the FCLB include boards having jurisdiction to license or regulate the practice of chiropractic in the states, provinces, commonwealths or territories of the United States of America, Canada, Australia, Mexico, and other countries. Current board members, as well as those who have served on a board within the last five years, may participate as Fellows in FCLB activities, including holding office or serving on standing committees. Those who have ever served on a chiropractic regulatory board are Honorary Fellows, privileged to attend the annual business meeting. Other organizations with an interest in chiropractic licensure are also active with the Federation. WHAT WE DO

I am Dorothea Scales. I have founded Fidas Consent Training because I want to share my knowledge and experience of dealing with sexual assaults and rapes which I gained during my career as a Detective Sergeant. I have combined my passion for safeguarding with my enthusiasm for training – having an MA in education and being a qualified teacher gave me the skills set to develop and deliver my courses. Since leaving the Police in October 2021, I have already delivered to hundreds of students, pupils and their teachers, to Designated Safeguarding Leaders and University students, colleges, youth organisations, charities, and apprentices   I have combined my expertise as an ex-Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding and my experience as a teacher, to develop my completely unique consent workshops, presentations and now a cost effective eLearning package . I have trained Detectives, Police cadets and Police Special constables and probationers. I have developed courses for Police officers in dealing sensitively with victims of rape and confronting myths and misconceptions. I have lead  leading a Pilot project for Durham County Council in delivering consent workshops to local secondary schools.   Fidas Consent Training is about sharing my passion for safeguarding the truly vulnerable and giving every person an informed choice about consent.   As a qualified, experienced, and passionate safeguarding specialist, I have 16 years’ experience as a Police Officer, protecting the rights of children, young people, and adults. I have always been driven by making a positive difference to the vulnerable. During my time in education and the Police, I have developed additional skills in risk management, people leadership and managing the most complex investigations which demand a sensitive and compassionate response. Victim focused and people centred in my work, I championed change in the police and built strong alliances with partner organisations As a Detective Sergeant within the Safeguarding unit I dealt with victims and suspects of rape and sexual assaults on a daily basis, often from report to court. I know and understand all the devastating consequences of not understanding or ignoring consent and want to share my experience with young people for a better future. I am a qualified Teacher and Safeguarding instructor committed to sharing my experience and expertise through my training courses. I have proactively developed partnerships to increase my impact and have worked closely with Social Services (adult and children’s team), schools, colleges and universities, MIND, healthcare professionals, domestic abuse charities and refuges, RAPE Crisis and regional police forces, which gives the training I am offering a particular knowledge-based advantage.  During my time in the Police I undertook a study which demonstrated why specialist rape teams are the way forward for all around victim care and successful prosecutions.   My Qualifications: MA in History, Education and Italian University of Durham, PGSE – postgraduate degree in education- qualified teacher status, Level 3 and 4 in Policing, NVQ, Sexual Assault Liaison officer, Tier Three victim interview trained– Achieving best evidence in victim interviews (including children under the age of 8) ICIDP (qualified Detective) Serious and complex Interviewing victim, witnesses and suspects Detective tutor ABELS – achieving Best Evidence Language screen Promotion to Detective Sergeant (in Safeguarding) Custody Sergeant Trained in misconduct and complaints procedures Investigations into counter corruption Investigator into sudden childhood death Counter corruption development programme Safeguarding First Responder Judge’s commendation for victim care in sexual abuse Chief Superintendent’s commendation for victim care Investigator into sudden childhood death Trauma processing and Trauma resilience in Policing Ofqual certified First Aid Mental Health Instructor Level 3, Ofqual certified Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting children (RQF) Level 3 RSE certified

Network Integrity Systems Inc. (NIS) was founded in 2003 in Conover, North Carolina, USA, when optical engineers and management personnel from a global fiber optics leader were asked to address a requirement from the Department of Defense to develop an improved solution for physically protecting secure fiber optic networks in and around The Pentagon. This resulted in the development of the INTERCEPTOR™ Optical Network Security System, which meets National Security Agency requirements and provides superior protection of fiber-optic data and telecommunications lines for military and government secure networks. In subsequent years, NIS received funding from the US Army Intelligence & Security Command (INSCOM) and the US Air Force Information Warfare Battlelab to accelerate technology development and make enhancements to the INTERCEPTOR product line. Since then, NIS has received thirty-six (36) U.S. and Foreign Patents that have made INTERCEPTOR the brand standard in network infrastructure security as it has been successfully deployed in multiple theaters around the globe to monitor U.S. government classified networks. Today, we are offering this same level of data protection to critical infrastructure, private enterprise and foreign governments with our VANGUARD product line. And, utilizing the same state-of-the-art sensor technologies, NIS has expanded into the perimeter security market with our Sentinel Perimeter Intrusion Detection System, making NIS an Integrated Cyber and Physical Security solutions provider.
