I'm a father of three teenagers, a partner, an ex-partner, a brither, a son, an uncle, a friend but work wise, a qualified Social Worker and a professional and personal coach. One thing I can be sure of, I absolutely love supporting people to get the most out of themselves. I hold an advanced certificate in executive coaching along with many other training courses. I am also a qualified Social Worker. I have a background of over 18 years in children's social care, with over 10 years of those as a Social Worker, and manager. I've worked with 100s of people who have struggled in their lives in some way shape or form. I'm a straight-talking coach, kind and empathetic, but not here to be a friend. I am not a mentor, this means that I do not profess to be an expert in anything, I am however very knowledgeable and skilful in asking powerful questions and provide my clients with the thinking space they need to think something they have never thought before. The London Suzuki Group ( LSG ) was founded in 1972 and was the first group in the United Kingdom to teach music by the Suzuki Method. With 60 qualified teachers and over 600 children currently receiving tuition, the LSG runs individual and group classes, orchestral and chamber music courses, workshops and an annual residential summer course at Bryanston School in Dorset. The group offers instruction in violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, recorder and voice. Public and private concerts are regularly organised at venues throughout London and elsewhere, providing much more than the opportunity to learn an instrument. Children and parents form lasting friendships. Parents and teachers are able to share experience and ideas. Music, and the love of music, becomes a natural part of the life of the whole family. Talent is not a prerequisite The Suzuki approach stimulates and develops musical abilities inherent in all children. Despite its sustained record of success exemplified in the many distinctions won by LSG students in music examinations, competitions and scholarships to major schools and conservatoires, the LSG’s overriding achievement is the provision of joy through music making, and the enrichment of the lives of the families involved in the learning process. Glen Park Primary is a two-form entry school set in wonderful grounds in Plympton. We are very proud of our school and the achievement and attitudes of our pupils. On the 1st September 2016, Glen Park Primary converted to academy status, and we are a member of the Westcountry Schools Trust. This is a collaboration of 13 primary and 5 secondary schools. We are very excited about the opportunities that the Trust and collaboration between the schools offers and supports us in our own school development and sharing of best practice. Ofsted have concluded that whilst the school continues to offer our children a ‘good’ level of provision, there is sufficient evidence to suggest that the school may be judged outstanding if it received a full Section 5 inspection now. This means Ofsted will return to the school within the next 12-24 months to carry out a full Section 5 inspection.
