We send you our best wishes at this unbelievable time… COVID, Boris, cake, taxes, Brexit, Climate Change, lies, corruption etc.etc. It is truly appalling but we are still here shining a light on all this and more. However, the team have decided that because we are at a point where people are tired of Zoom, but not ready to get together, that we will concentrate for a while on posting items of interest to keep us going. We currently publish a monthly e-newsletter called Second Sunday News. It will be on our website and a copy be sent out to our mailing list via Mailchimp on the second Sunday of each month. It will feature opinion, local and national triumphs and links to articles and videos. Obviously, it will also link to our website, especially our regularly updated resources area. We will continue to do this until we can arrange meetings and events face to face, indoors or out. So, until we meet, keep looking at our Second Sunday postings. Stay safe and thank you for your support and contributions so far. All the best The TT team Tynedale Transformed is about re-imagining a fairer and sustainable future and making it happen. Tynedale Transformed is about pushing the boundaries of what political participation looks like. Strategy games, treasure hunts, reading groups, and theatre workshops, talks, events, walks, lectures…. anything is possible. TT will be based on inclusivity and a shared wish to examine the issues facing our communities and our world, encouraging a politics based on creativity, open mindedness and comradeship. We want to transform the way we live together. We want to start the conversation. Our aim is to draw on existing networks and connections, locally, regionally and nationally as well as providing a platform for new ideas new groups and individuals. Tynedale Transformed 2020

The business is run by Alastair Meikle who was raised in Chesterfield and after leaving school spent 30 years working for the Civil Aviation Authority and National Air Traffic Services. One of a very few people who regularly cycled to work at the London Air Traffic Control Centre! Following his decision to leave air traffic control he spent a year touring Europe in a motorhome with his family and bicycles before relocating back to Chesterfield and starting Wheely Fun Wheels. Alastair was the winner of the national Modeshift award in 2017 'Individual Contribution to Sustainable Travel' and in 2019 delivered practical training workshops at the national Bikeability conference. Whilst we are often on our bikes for our daily transport needs most of us also tour on our bikes, do the occasional race and take part in sportives, one of our instructors organises long distance rides in the Peak District. Last modified: 04/10/2019 International courses and workshops for researchers writing for refereed journal publication Great writing is not primarily about grammar or even about word choice. It’s about structure, and more specifically about putting information where readers have been trained to see it. However, this is not what most people are taught. Writers are often handed a lot of “rules” that do little or nothing to improve their writing. You probably know them: Avoid passives. Vary your language. Shorten sentences. Paragraphs must have an explicit topic sentence, 3 supporting sentences and a concluding sentence. Jargon sounds academic. Data equals thinking. Write the way you talk. Fix your grammar and you’re fine. Word choice is everything. Sentences should be under 29 words long. Never start a sentence with but, however or because. Never split infinitives. And so on… These are both disempowering and (in the main) untrue, yet many teachers continue to dish them out. This course is different – really different. In the 10-week course, five class sessions are concerned with structures that will help participants produce a first draft. The next five sessions cover, in detail, a dynamic system for altering that first draft, making it understandable to others without following any of the above ‘rules’. The intensive 5-day course begins with a first draft, and consists of morning group sessions based on that draft, followed by afternoons revising (first for structure and content, but in the last three days also for readability). A selection of topics will be omitted from the 5-day course. The course continues with email support as needed until the article is submitted to a refereed journal (and through the entire revision and acceptance process)

I help people think, learn & grow; I hold space to ponder, understand and make courageous choices; and I hope to inspire the world to embrace their life, work and "human condition" in all its beautiful and challenging facets. I especially enjoy working with leaders, coaches and people who consider themselves in a "position of great responsibility". I help them navigate the big and small questions of life and business. My work is evidence-based, informed by positive psychology and other branches of science and is grounded in the philosophical framework of existentialism. This unique combination will help you understand what drives your behaviour, manage & embrace life's many challenges, figure out what makes your life worth living and take action. People have much more in common than they have differences. That is why, existentially, we're all unique, yet very similar at a fundamental level. An understanding of human nature as well as individual cognitive and emotional processes in combination with psychological sciences, common sense and an upfront mode of practicing enable me to work with a broad range of clients. I have learned and experienced, that this knowledge is worth more than understanding specific environments, business sectors or technical processes. In my work I... - facilitate development 1on1 and in group sessions helping clients to reach goals, make difficult decisions, create meaning, overcome anxiety, get motivated and generally deal with life's adversities & challenges, - resolve conflicts between and within people, communities and organisations, - lead and develop personal & social education tutoring, workshops and training (leadership, assertiveness, confidence building, communication, strengths, relationships etc - over 200 topics), - work towards establishing personal development as a universal school subject, - promote integrative approaches to talking practice combining aspects of coaching, therapy, mentoring, consulting and mediation.

international society of performance analysis of sport

Wales

The International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport ( ISPAS ), and its predecessor the International Society of Notational Analysis (ISNAS - 1991), was founded to improve the international cooperation in the field of Analysis of Sport. Obviously, the internationalization of this discipline is of great importance for the exchange of views, the discussion and presentation of current research results as well as the realization of joint research projects. Until now the Society has existed quite informally – its main purpose was to ensure the continuing excellence in its World Conferences in Liverpool (1991), Cardiff (1993), Turkey (1995), Porto (1998), Cardiff (2001), Belfast (2004) and Szombathely, Hungary (2006). But now with the rapid growth of Performance Analysis as a discipline and career, there is a need for the Society to assume more formal responsibilities. The Society now has the following purposes/objectives: dissemination of scientific knowledge concerning performance analysis of sport providing a forum for the exchange of ideas bridging the gap between researchers and practitioners gather and disseminating information, scientific knowledge and materials on performance analysis of sport counselling other organisations in questions of performance analysis of sport Representation of computer science in sport in other scientific associations It's tasks are: Editing the e-journal, the International Journal of Performance Analysis of Sport (eIJPAS) Organization of 2 – 3 workshops each year, preferably rotating the venues internationally. Maintaining the web-site as a forum of communication for performance analysts and/or any other interested parties. Manage the organisation of the World Conference at different venues around the world, bi-annually when possible. Monitor the scientific content of the papers and presentations at the Conference, and produce the Proceedings Organise and manage accreditation and registration of Academic Performance Analysts and Consultant Performance Analysts of sport
