Businesses in the Southern and Western areas of Bracknell voted in favour of plans to set up a Business Improvement District (BID) to run from 1st April 2020 – 31st March 2025. The positive ballot result follows 18 months of planning, in-depth interviews, surveys and workshops and a month-long ballot in which businesses in the area were asked to vote on the proposals. 63% of votes cast voted in favour of the BID by total number of businesses, and 88% of votes cast voted in favour of the BID by Rateable Value. As a result of the yes vote, the Bracknell Business Improvement District (BID) started on 1st April 2020. Businesses with a rateable value of £12,001 or above will pay a levy based upon their rateable value, creating a collective fund of more than £3 million to spend over the next five years. The plans were driven by a steering group of business representatives from across the area, who have now formed the Bracknell Investment Group Ltd. This is the company that will manage the BID. Bracknell BID is governed by a board of directors of the Bracknell Investment Group. The BID Board consists of representatives from all sectors within the BID area to ensure balanced representation. Directors are volunteers from businesses and partner organisations who give up their time for free. They are supported by Partnerships for Better Business Ltd, who develop and deliver Business Improvement Districts across the country.

Just Another Label (JAL) primarily works with production music and over nineteen years has focussed on supplying electronic, urban and pop music to many established Production Music Libraries. JAL entered into the music industry in 1992 and has since been involved in many ventures across the industry as a recording company, commercial publisher, production music library and third party administrator. From 1992, through JAL and many other labels, the company released a multitude of records on vinyl, CD and digital formats, enjoying great acclaim in the underground UK dance music scene. We proudly received an Ivor Novello in 2003 for "Best Original Music For Television" for the Channel 4 production Feltham Sings From 2005, JAL slowed down their release of records and progressed into the production music industry. They have since supplied mainly electronic music to the production music libraries of companies including Extreme Music, Warner Bros, Universal and EMI. JAL has always had a keen interest in the community and has spent time volunteering to deliver music-related projects to young people alongside youth-groups and various local councils. JAL has also delivered musical and music industry themed workshops with tutors at further education colleges in addressing subjects including diversity, equal opportunities, prejudice and discrimination. We are currently expanding into multi-media productions to offer comprehensive services in the audio/visual industry. Within the music sector JAL provides photography and video services to organisations and artists for production of viral content and marketing propaganda.

CNG has decided to organise Lunch Club to entertain the elderly with traditional Iranian music and board games allowing them to interact with many others. We also supply them with Iranian cuisine. READ MORE Education For CNG the education of our youth and future generation is very important. CNG has a supplementary school where it focuses on teaching Farsi. The students are able to attend the extra-curriculum activities which take place after Farsi lesson. This includes Maths & English to enrich and support the students also Art, Crafts & Dance. READ MORE Support Due to covid-19 pandemic there has been a huge demand among the elderly, disabled and low-income clients for living essentials. CNG has been able to hand out food and supplies to many people. These people were not able to leave their homes for months due to the fright of COVID-19 and we believed it was our duty to help them.

Octavia Raheem is a wife, mother, author of two books Pause, Rest, Be and Gather, rest coach, chief executive daydreaming officer, and yoga educator. She founded Devoted to Rest + Starshine & Clay Online Yoga and Meditation Studio for Black Women and Women of Color. Within her rest and work she threads poetry, prayer, and time tested practices into a blanket of experience under which individuals can gather and rebuke stress, fatigue, and burnout. The foundation of Octavia’s rest work is Black Church (rooted in the South USA), restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra, and meditation. Her deepest offerings lead driven, ambitious, visionary, and highly impactful women to awaken the fullness of their wisdom, power, and clarity through rest. Octavia has over 20 years of experience and well over 10,000 hours of designing and delivering classes, restshops, workshops, immersions, and trainings that transform, heal, and restore individuals and organizations. In 2021 Yoga Journal magazine recognized Octavia as one of fifteen experienced yoga professionals who have elevated and changed the field on a global scale. Closer to home and as a beacon in her local community, she was named one of four luminaries who have lit the way and created new avenues to yoga in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Southeast in September 2019 by Natural Awakening Magazine. Additionally her writing, rest, and work have been featured in Mantra, Tricycle, Well + Good, Atlanta Magazine, CNN, and at Essence Festival Wellhouse Atlanta.

Alexandra was born in the USA and spent her formative years in London and Glasgow. Her musical abilities were recognised from a very young age and she began having regular piano and vocal lessons at the age of four. Alexandra had the honour of being the youngest singing student to be accepted at the prestigious Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Whilst studying there, she benefited from singing lessons, vocal workshops and master-classes with both formidable voice teachers and visiting leading professionals. This early exposure to such a high standard of coaching was a great source of inspiration for an aspiring young soprano. Alexandra was invited to attend the Association Of Teachers Of Singing training course for four consecutive years, which provided her with a solid foundation for developing her own teaching technique which she loves to share in her own teaching lessons. Having always had a special love of Scotland, it seemed to be a natural progression for her to complete her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow (now known as The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) where Alexandra was awarded her Bachelor of Music with Honours Degree. Now based in Central Scotland and accessible from Falkirk, Stirling, Glasgow amd Edinburgh, Alexandra enjoys working as a freelance singer (soprano) and singing teacher. She is currently delighted to be working with Music in Hospitals and Care (MiHC) with whom she has regular concert engagements and tours.

Motion X Dance highly values dance education. Our passion for training young artists is prevalent in our workshops and intensives as we have developed programs that offer a springboard for dancers moving towards a professional career. Motion X Dance is a unique dance force in Washington DC, opening up new partnerships and connections in the surrounding community. Through outreach, collaboration, and education we hope to use dance as a way to bring joy to the widest audience possible. The Adab Trust was set up in 2007 to facilitate improved employment outcomes for students from challenging backgrounds. Since inception, the Trust has worked with six universities and supported over 7,000 undergraduates and recent graduates. Our inaugural programme was the 'Leadership by Example Programme'. This involved high calibre graduates from ethnic minority backgrounds - particularly from modern universities – being put through a six stage employer-led training and selection programme. The selection programme was delivered by one of UK's leading executive search agencies - Odgers & Berndtson – alongside the market leader in psychometric testing - SHL group. Successful candidates were then marketed to employers and in our first year of operation, 45 candidates secured graduate level roles. From delivering our inaugural programme, we discovered that the principal barrier to most graduates being able to secure their desired jobs; was that they often lacked the soft skills employers sought. To address this, we developed our current programme - the very successful 'Employers in Higher Education (EHE) Programme'. The Employers in Higher Education (EHE) Programme: This programme aims to create a strong connection between education and employers. This is done by bringing employers onto campuses to deliver a range of creative and innovative training sessions to young people.
