Bramfield House School was established in 1970 as a specialist provision for pupils with social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. It is an all boys establishment catering for an age range of 7-16 and is registered for 74 pupils. It is situated in rural Suffolk 10 minutes drive from the heritage coast. The residential accommodation consists of the main house sitting in 10 acres of gardens and 1 mile from the centre of the village of Bramfield. The classroom facilities are independently placed within the grounds and consist of purpose made specialist subject provisions. Alongside the school site we provide a separate residential accommodation called Ibstock House that caters for the further development of pupil’s independence skills. This house has its own designated classroom and gardens, approximately ¾ of an acre and can support up to 6 boarding pupils. Both can access the numerous on-site resources on offer, including an indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, multi-gym, pool tables and table tennis table, full size sports pitches and outdoor adventure trail, amongst a host of other in- house activities and interests. The ethos of the school is based on trust and mutual respect, providing the opportunity for every individual to maximise their own potential in a warm and caring environment. The pupils are supported in discovering their personal attributes, and to then themselves acknowledge these skills, building their confidence and self-esteem so that this can then be transferred and used to develop and enhance all areas of their social and educational development. The professional staff group engages with pupils to explore new and varied environments and interests, using these opportunities to build relationships and understanding, so that they may be better placed to provide individually tailored support to the pupil. These are the result of long-standing structurally racist systems that devalue Black and Brown lives. The disproportionate impact of these inequities is felt not only in the justice system, but also in education, medicine, and mental health care. As psychology providers, we believe that the ultimate manner by which to heal racial trauma is for individuals and the systems within which they work to recognize and eliminate explicit and implicit bias, prejudice, racism, and discrimination. However, at this time, many Black and Brown individuals have already experienced and will continue to experience racial trauma. The campsite is equipped with a shower block and chemical waste facilities for its guest. Separate food preparation is also adjunct with the shower block for its guest use. The site has several electric hookups pitches with hard standing option to hire. There are several glamping pods and static caravans available to rent throughout the year. The area is famous for moor walking, cycling, hiking, golfing and fishing. The colliford Lake is within 7-10 minutes of walking distance, (no direct lake access through property) and A30 is within 2 minutes of driving distance to connect dual carriageway. Plymouth is 23 miles from Colliford Tavern, while Newquay is 24 miles from the property. The nearest airport is Newquay Airport, 19 miles from the site.

I'm a graduate Silversmith of the prestigious School of Jewellery in Birmingham and I have a wide variety of experience over my career in different industry roles. After graduating I began a 10 year stint of experience working at Jewellery Retail sector giants Signet Group, initially working in jewellery sales and customer service, then moving into branch operations, export, marketing and merchandising via their HQ in Birmingham. From 2004-2014 I was back at the School of Jewellery Birmingham City University (BCU) as short courses/external training project manager, working with UK and International clients. For the past five years Dawn has been supporting Graduates and Designer Makers via Jewellery Business Mentoring. In 2017 The Bespoke Jewellery Training Company became an a graduate award sponsor at The School of Jewellery at Birmingham City University (BCU), where upon graduation two graduates per year are selected to receive a 9 month Graduate Jewellery Business Mentoring programme each, delivered by me. In 2022 I became a member of The Guild of Jewellery Designers, Ethical Good Practises Forum. The Film and Video Workshop is an educational charity founded in June 1997 by Simon Oatley. Our objective is the education of adults, children and young people in the art of film, video and other types of media. We aim to work particularly with those people who are in need by reason of disability, age or economic circumstance. The company has grown steadily since its formation and is now the largest producer of child and young people directed moving image work in the United Kingdom. Many of the films we have helped produce have been shown in international film festivals and some have won prestigious awards. Each year we work with approximately 1000 film makers and produce some 300 films. Past clients include Tate modern, Tate Britain, The National Portrait Gallery, Arts Council, Film London, Film Council, Skillset, Cartoon Museum, Learning and Skills Council, Tribal Education, London Development Agency, ten of the London councils, BBC, Channel 4 and Nickelodeon. Recent premiere screenings have been held at the London Imax Cinema and the Odeon West End. In addition we provide adult training, specialising in the creative use of digital technology. The current courses selection includes four video production courses, stop motion, animation techniques, after effects, Avid and FCP. We subsidise a selection of introduction courses to enable people to start filmmaking as well as provide CPD for professionals. All our courses have a 40% reduction for concessions. The media centre is open 6 days a week with over 80 weekly users. The company is managed by an unpaid board of directors to whom we are very grateful for their long standing support. Safer Places (formerly known as Harlow Women’s Aid) has over 40 years’ experience in delivering holistic support services to adult and child survivors of Domestic Abuse across Essex and Hertfordshire. Over the years we have grown and adapted our services to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Domestic abuse has both a devastating and radiating impact and affects the survivor and their families, friends, colleagues and communities. Our team take a non-judgemental and respectful approach to their work and we will do all that we can to ensure that everyone who needs our services can use them, how they want to, when they want to, and where they want to. Domestic abuse does not discriminate and happens in every community. We are proud to work inclusively with anyone who has experienced abuse and our services are designed to reach everyone impacted by abuse. To do this we offer a range of services and work collaboratively with our partners in a range of venues. The support that we offer is holistic, trauma informed and individually tailored to each survivor as we know that although there are common behavioural patterns, not one experience is the same as any other and there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. We know that survivor’s needs are better met when they are involved in creating solutions as equals so our support is co-produced alongside survivors. Our highly qualified staffs are there to empower survivors, giving them the knowledge and confidence to choose the steps on their journey to recovery. Many go on to achieve things they once thought of as impossible. The foundations of our organisation were built by survivors – as were the foundations of one of our refuges. A former project saw a number of survivors qualify as carpenters, bricklayers, painters, plasterers and amenity horticulturalists. The refuge now accommodates 10 families in separate self-contained flats built solely by survivors, for survivors. We recognise that if we are to see our vision materialise and help to create a world where everyone lives a life free from fear and abuse, we need to respond to abuse together, as one. Our training helps professionals and members of the community to recognise the signs of domestic abuse, understand the issues and respond quickly and effectively when a survivor chooses to access support. From short awareness sessions to full IDVA and ISAC qualifications we are committed to sharing our experience and what works to make more families safer.
