Creative is an international development organization dedicated to supporting people around the world to realize the positive change they seek.PAKISTAN Reading Project Pakistan is one of the few countries where illiteracy rates are actually increasing. Government statistics show that primary school enrollment is only 66 percent, which means some 7.2 million children are not in classrooms. The Pakistan Reading Project is a national program aimed at improving the quality of reading education in more than 23,000 public schools. It is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. Under the International Rescue Committee’s purview, along with 10 local and international partners, Creative is delivering high-quality pre-service teacher education, training and professional development with an explicit focus on teaching reading. It will improve management throughout the education system through policy support and enhanced information, planning and monitoring systems. Complementing education initiatives by the Pakistan government, USAID and other international partners, the Pakistan Reading Project will promote a culture of reading nationally by improving organizations’ abilities to promote educational research, advocacy and reform, as well as expanding the number of colleges and universities offering rigorous teacher training and specialized education degrees. The Pakistan Reading Project will advance and develop the reading instruction skills of 94,000 teachers over the next five years and is expected to reach 3.2 million boys and girls with improved reading programs. The program will specially target underserved rural communities where access to elementary education is limited.

Aspire Scotland is part of Aspris Children’s Services and offers specialist care and/or education services across Ayrshire. We support children and young people aged 8-18 years with a range of complex needs. This includes an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), child sexual exploitation (CSE), emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), and other behaviours that may challenge. At Aspire Scotland, we provide high quality care and education in safe and nurturing environments, taking full account of national standards and quality indicators. This is further emphasised by six of our children’s homes being graded as either ‘5 – Very Good’ or ‘6 – Excellent’, during their latest inspection from the Care Inspectorate. We work in partnership with families and Local Authorities to achieve the best possible outcomes. The range of services that we provide at Aspire Scotland include: Bespoke care packages and individually tailored education services provided by Aspire Scotland’s education facility, based in Kilbirnie. The campus also includes a café. Residential homes with rural environments, offering therapeutic and spacious surroundings. The Vulnerability Registration Service (VRS) gives vulnerable people a single place to register their status, helping them avoid repeating the same difficult conversations every time they engage with organisations like lenders and creditors. It is a “Not for Profit Company Limited by Guarantee” whose aim is to help vulnerable consumers protect themselves against the financial, social and very personal hardship suffered as a result of debt and financial problems. The stakeholders in the VRS all have experience working in Consumer Credit markets. There are regulatory, compliance, consumer affairs and IT expertise and acknowledged experts on our management team and Board. The VRS has a separate and independent Advisory Board of experts that meets regularly and feeds into the VRS appropriate advice and innovation to help drive the VRS forward. There has been considerable interest shown in the initiative since its launch from consumers and businesses alike. The VRS continues to grow as awareness expands among creditors and service providers of all sectors. Debt advice and mental health organisations are also supportive of the work the VRS does, and using the register to load consenting vulnerable consumers who wish to refer or auto decline lending and credit applications. The VRS provides businesses with instant API decisions and access to upload your consenting vulnerable consumers onto the VRS register. They are also able to upload consenting consumers on the VRS register via Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and retrieve data from the SFTP.

Based in Stockton-On-Tees, Cultures CIC works with individuals and groups from BME, migrant and Refugee communities to improve social, economic and cultural inclusion and build social cohesion. The company is involved in a number of long and short term community projects across the following themes: Improve employability; Promote equality; Break down barriers; Improve access to services and; Delivering cultural awareness raising seminars and conferences. Since 2007 Cultures has become a valued community resource and has established its credibility as a public service provider for out-sourced service provision. We have also been very successful in delivering a number of other projects for job Centre Plus, Learning & Skills Council and Stockton Borough Council via the Five Lamps Organisation and The Taste of Africa event, which is now considered a regional event with an increasing audience, attracting people from as far as London.
