Thrive has been providing training, tools and insights to organisations and individuals for over 25 years. Initially conceived as a way of tackling the issue of school exclusions, Thrive now offers a whole-setting approach to supporting the right-time social and emotional development of all children and young people. With our HQ based in Devon, Thrive is a business that works with local authorities, multi-academy trusts (MATs), individual schools and other settings across Great Britain. To date, more than 50,000 staff have received Thrive training, ensuring that over 627,000 children and young people have access to the Thrive Approach, changing lives and increasing educational attainment levels. I am The London Sound Healer, and I am a Sound Healer and Reiki Master. I have been following a shamanic path since my teens, and I have studied with the Power Path School and Sandra Ingerman, and I am currently deepening my studies with The Sacred Trust in the UK. I have been very lucky to spend time in the Amazon rainforest with the indigenous locals learning about their relationship and medicinal uses with the plants and trees. I am deeply passionate about the healing and transformational power of sound, which is particularly needed at this transitional time on our planet. I trained at The College of Sound Healing, where I am an accredited member, and I work with 432hz crystal bowls and Tibetan singing bowls, along with the gong. I have also trained with sound pioneers Jill Purce and Jonathan Goldman. I heal through sound on a one-to-one basis, and also in groups for sound baths and events for adults and children alike. I am a third generation Healer, following in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother.

Leeds Sanctuary is a network of communities in Leeds City Centre, that each begin with encounter and embody sanctuary and justice, through which individuals and the city flourish in the ways of God’s Kingdom. You can read more about those core values here. We create spaces and resources on and offline for people to connect more deeply with themselves, one another and important issues of social justice. We are exploring craftivism, meditation, mindfulness, climate change, wellbeing, Christian spirituality and much more. We create free mindfulness, meditation and craftivist resources, which are available on our blog. We also run in person events on these themes as well as wellbeing sessions for different groups. If you are interested in learning more about any of this, contact us here. We work in partnership with many organisations and are always looking for new ways of connecting. We are a Christian project for people of all faiths and none run by the Yorkshire West Methodist District. We are building on a strong history of Methodism in Leeds City Centre.

I have worked in the fitness industry for over 19 years starting my career with large gyms and organisations. Sarah Harris and Rick Johnstone, qualified school teachers and ASA swimming teacher trainers, have created a swim tuition programme designed to elicit best results from swimmers on an ongoing basis, by focusing on such important concepts as: MOTIVATION ENJOYMENT EXCITEMENT PROGRESS POSITIVITY SUCCESS We teach small groups of children, from complete beginners to advanced swimmers on the verge of competitive training. Our youngest performers are 2 years old, who are joined in the pool by their parent / carer. Of course safety is a paramount consideration in everything we do. Our programme comprises of 8 attainment levels, with clearly defined criteria for progress from one stage to the next. We promote happiness and enjoyment in swimming and cultivate a success-filled environment for all, at every level throughout the programme. The Outdoor Training Company specialises in delivering very practical First Aid courses and in providing training for journeying, particularly by canoe or on Nordic skis. We are a Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) accredited centre and our 3 day First Aid at Work and 1 day Emergency First aid at Work courses are all certificated by this awarding body. In addition we can provide tailored courses for groups or organisations and, in the past, this has included everything from courses for outdoor professionals who need a course to fulfil the demands of their work environment to schools just wanting basic CPR training. We are also specialists in training individuals wishing to prepare for their own adventure journeys. Whether your adventure journey is by canoe, on foot or on skis - we can train you to be competent in all these forms of journeying. Alternatively we can guide you on your bespoke journey but throughout we would be aiming to give you the skills to be as proficient as possible. In addition we can provide training in Leadership Development and we are keen supporters of the ideals of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Our training is not aimed at any particular age group - we just want to share our love of the outdoors with whoever would like to enjoy being competent at what they do.

My name is Louise – I’m an Expressive Writing practitioner based in York. My passion is for writing with people from all walks of life, helping them to express their unique experiences and perspectives. I’m a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (English Literature MA Hons, Literature and Modernity MSc), and the Metanoia Institute (Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes PGDip). I’m a member of Lapidus, the international words for wellbeing association, and recently delivered a well-received presentation at their Creative Bridges Conference with the Metanoia Institute. I have previously spoken to various audiences about my work as an Expressive Writing Practitioner, including Medicine Unboxed: Students, and the Glagow Refugee, Asylum and Migration Network. I’ve recently completed a year-long residency at Edinburgh Headway Group, facilitating a weekly writing group for people with acquired brain injuries. This has culminated in a publication of the member’s poetry, which we hope will be officially launched in the near future! I have also delivered writing sessions for MOOD (Mental health Options for Older adults with Depression) in West Lothian, before relocating to York. When I’m not facilitating writing groups, I can also be found teaching Pilates classes around the city! Though this might seem an odd combination, I find that both provide fantastic tools for mindfulness, self-care and well being.
