Connectivity supporting a wide range of protocols and third party products Scalability ensuring that there’s an intelligent upgrade path from novice user to seasoned power user Company History Since 2003, ChamSys has harnessed the talents of lighting designers, software engineers and hardware developers to innovate and disrupt the field of lighting control. They knew that to overcome the limitations of traditional consoles, they would have to utilize the latest technology and break some conventions. Those efforts lead to the release of MagicQ software and dedicated consoles, which fulfill the company’s aim creating high performance lighting consoles and softwares engineered to adapt to a wide range of applications for operators at all levels from beginners to professionals. ChamSys has continued to develop new leading edge software and hardware. Here’s a timeline of significant milestones since the company began: Lighting is what drives our passions. Our desire has always been to make products that we would want to use ourselves. Since our software developers are themselves lighting designers, this is a unique strength which ChamSys has harnessed very successfully. Our hardware engineers have wide experience across the lighting industry, including laser consoles, moving light systems, and real time control for industrial and scientific equipment. We have a high level of experience in developing real time systems where reliability and performance are key requirements. MagicQ In Action After extensive testing and feedback from working professionals who were quietly testing our early products, the MagicQ range was launched at PLASA 2004 to a great reception. For over a decade and a half ChamSys has continued that success finding enthusiastic adopters all around the world. MagicQ is used on everything from live music, TV, films, theatre, clubs, bars and architectural installations.

Moo Music Uddingston, Bothwell and East Kilbride

moo music uddingston, bothwell and east kilbride

Back in early 2013, on the coast in North Devon the idea for Moo Music was born. Musician and entrepreneur Ant Parker, and his wife Jess with their two very young girls, were getting tired of the usual nursery rhymes going round and round in their heads. Both had a passion for music and a wish to teach their children about everything that comes with daily life and beyond; eating healthily, making friends, feelings, the wider world, keeping fit … and all most importantly through MUSIC, FUN and PLAY! At the same time Ant’s sister Ali, who loves to sing and has worked as a nanny, was looking for a flexible and affordable business that allowed her more time with her own small family. She asked Ant to have a look at a few other music franchises (with his entrepreneur hat on) but he soon realised that you got very little original content, were bound by many rules, and paid an extortionate amount for the privilege. This got Ant thinking – one of his best friends is a songwriter who has a very special ability in writing fantastic children’s songs that adults can enjoy too. Another friend is an artist who has illustrated many TV classics such as Bod and Pigeon Street. So Ant thought “why not commission the songwriter to write some songs, the artist to design some characters, Ali to use the combination to start her own business and then once established, licence the material to others. The rest, as they say, is history! Ali started trialling the sessions towards the end of 2013 and we launched as a licensed business opportunity in April 2014. In the first year there were just short of 100 licensees covering much of the UK. Over the next few years the remaining viable areas of the UK were covered, existing licensees expanded into larger areas and we now have 176 licensees covering 1433 postcode districts across the majority of the UK. The master licence for Australia sold in 2016, The Republic of Ireland in 2019, Korea in 2020 and the United States in 2021.

London

Dance Concepts started in 2011, Through our time as dancers, we have seen many dance schools and dancers of all levels that love to dance for many different reasons. Since the start of Strictly Come Dancing, ballroom and Latin American has become very popular and the number of people wanting to dance today is huge. At the same time, dance fitness has crazed the country with Zumba. We feel that now is a great time for dance and through our experience can enable everyone no matter how young or old, coordinated or uncoordinated to exoerience and have the opportunity to dance. UK fitness has deteriorated over the last decade for many different reasons, so the sideline benefit to dance and fitness with Dance Concepts is that by making fitness reasonable and regular we can do our bit to help the UK get fit again. Our Vision. Britain started the tradition of Ballroom and Latin American Dancing with all the Champions up to the late 1990’s being born and trained in England. Today, British dancing has slightly lost it’s advance over the rest of the World, with very few truly British couples achieving the great heights in the dance world today. We have been very fortunate and worked hard to represent England all over the world and achieving the highest standards of dance. We want to pass this on to our couples and understand that the dancing world is hugely expensive, so if we can help the younger generation acheive the top of the dance world, we will! Lottie has trained with some world-renowned teachers and and her classes draw upon the various styles she has been taught including Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Sivananda. She teaches Yin Yoga and Flow Yoga for mixed abilities and beginners classes with sequences that can be modified to make them more/less challenging depending on the student’s level. She includes asanas (poses) for strength and flexibility with a focus on alignment, pranayama (breathing) exercises to calm the mind, meditation to cultivate inner awareness and relaxation to allow the body and mind to rest and rejuvenate. Lottie enjoys bringing her yoga practice to the local community and she believes that yoga is for everyone. Her classes will leave you feeling energised yet calmer. A regular yoga practice ensures a healthy mind and body. What brought me to Yoga and why I do it? I was looking to improve my flexibility and to aid relaxation. Like many people I wondered what to expect at my first class, but I was hooked from the beginning and came away feeling calmer and more energised, ready to take on life. It brought me an hour of calm in my day. I was eager to learn the asanas (poses) and their Sanskrit names (classic language of ancient India), the breathing exercises and always savoured resting in Corpse pose (Savasana) at the end of class. I then decided to explore yoga in more depth, learn about the philosophy and anatomy and to teach yoga to others, so I enrolled on the Diploma course with Yogacampus where I was taught by some truly inspiring yoga teachers including Lisa Sanfilippo, Jo Manuel, Katrina Repka, Liz Lark, Aadil Palkhivala, Doug Keller and Dr. Ruth Gilmore. For me yoga gives me energy and focus, makes me smile, and keeps me grounded in everyday life. Even when it is challenging I love it and it makes me seek out more. Every day I arrive on my mat I have a new experience and that is great!

Great Denham Primary School

great denham primary school

Bedford,

Great Denham Primary School and Pre-School is situated at the heart of the Great Denham Community and conveniently situated for Bedford town and road links to the M1 and A1. Great Denham village is a new and growing community with facilities including a Nursery, Sainsbury's Local, independent retail outlets and The new Village Hall which opened in 2016. Our school opened in September 2012 with just 100 pupils, we have now grown to over 560 pupils in 2022! We are now a three-form entry primary school in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 and two form in Year 4,5 and 6. We also have a Nursery class for children from the September after their third birthday. When our pupils leave us at the end of Year 6 they transfer to one of many local secondary schools including Biddenham Secondary School and Lincroft Academy. Great Denham Primary School opened its doors for the first time in September 2012 with just over 100 children and 15 staff. In 2022 we now have over 580 children and 100 staff! The school had a 7 classroom extension in 2018 and we are now taking 90 children in each year group up to Year 4. Eventually, we will have 650 children with 3 classes in each year group. Many of the original staff remain at the school including the Headteacher and one of the Deputy Headteachers. Our Family Groups When children leave our early years they join one of our four family groups which they will remain in until they leave GDPS in Year 6. Each family group wears their own coloured polo shirt and there are regular opportunities throughout the term for children to learn, play and compete in their family group. Each family has a head boy and girl who are elected by the rest of their family. The head boys and girls are children from Year 6. The idea of having family groups came from wanting to create a small school feel within a large primary school. Each family has a Head of family (a member of the school leadership team). Our families have even written their own family songs which we sing regularly in assembly!

Anita Sharma Coaching

anita sharma coaching

Personal Growth & Wellbeing I’m Anita, a personal growth and well-being coach, specialising in helping young people and their families navigate their way through the teenage and pre-teen years. Whether it’s exam stress, social anxiety or learning to deal with the overwhelm caused by social media, today’s young people have more pressure on them than ever before and, as a parent, it can be hard to know where to turn for advice and support when your child is struggling. Why use a coach? Shouldn’t I be able to support my child myself? Not fully understanding emotions, the impact they have and how to manage them can lead to self-destructive behaviour and negative beliefs, which is not only hard for the young person but for the family around them too. Seeking help from someone objective, outside the family, might feel difficult but many of those I work with say they wish they’d done it sooner. Parenting is hard work and it’s ok not to struggle on alone. I have spent my entire career working with young people, spending 20 years as a secondary school teacher before becoming a coach. I’m also a mum-of-two myself, so I know how difficult it can be. How does coaching work? Using a combination of talking and listening, alongside a series of practical steps, I help guide and encourage your child. Together we work through the issues that are troubling them to come up with a sustainable plan to set them on the right path for the future. How we get through our teenage years can pave the way for how we manage the rest of our lives. I’m passionate about bringing out the best in every child and teenager and giving them the confidence and skills to succeed in the world. I offer two types of support – Emotional Wellbeing and Academic Coaching – and aim to build flexible packages around you and your family, with prices starting from £30 per session. You can see more details in the Services section and more information about my qualifications and credentials on the About Me page.
