Surrey Homeopathy Having worked as a Surrey homeopath for over 20 years, I offer this gentle and natural form of medicine in my practice in Surrey. First of all, during the homeopathic consultation, I aim is to collect a full symptom picture of you and to explore the symptoms as you experience them. Whatever the presenting symptom, homeopathy looks at physical, emotional and mental state as belonging together and presenting an expression of what is out of balance in the individual. Finally, I prescribe a carefully selected homeopathic remedy that matches your particular symptom picture most closely. This form of medicine can help balance the person’s innate healing powers to initiate healing from within. Homeopathy thus offers an holistic approach to health and well-being.

Bristol

We have decided to cap sessions at 16 participants, to allow for space in the gym. As much as Covid regulations have eased, we believe that it is worth keeping the space in the gym. In addition to this, it makes for a better training environment if the gym is not too crowded. However, at times we may allow additional attendees at the coach’s discretion. We will continue to monitor this. We currently are not requesting participants to show a negative test before training. We would ask however that you are sensible. If you are showing covid symptoms, then please do not attend a session. If you do test positive please do let us know as soon as possible so we can contact other members so everyone can test themselves. Please do maintain social distancing as much as is possible in the gym. We will continue to review this and if we are unfortunate enough to have cases in the gym, or if government guidance changes, then we may have to think about asking for a negative test result before attending. Gemini run semi structured sessions as these sessions are for adults. There will be a group warm up and basic lines and/or conditioning at the start of each session. After this, participants will be able to use the gym as they see fit. However, there is always a coach in the room who will be more than happy to offer coaching advice and guidance if requested of them and please don’t be afraid to ask us – it is what we are there for! Coaches will also monitor the room and if a particular piece of apparatus is busy we may ask you to rotate to a different piece if you have been on the same one for a while. Whilst we make every effort to ensure sessions go ahead, please be aware that there may be times that sessions will have to be cancelled. If this happens every effort will be made to make up the missed session, either by rolling over your session to another day or adding an additional session to make up for this. This usually only happens due to staff sickness or unavailability due to training courses or competitions. BG Membership We do require all our members, whether casual or regular, to be BG registered. This is for insurance purposes as gymnastics is a high risk sport and accidents can occur. The membership is £19 for the year. If you chose not to become BG registered, then you accept that you are training entirely at your own risk and Gemini are not liable for any accidents that happen. We also reserve the right to deny entry to anyone who is not registered. https://www.british-gymnastics.org/renewal-options Missed Sessions If you cannot make a session, we understand! Life happens. However, we would appreciate it if you could let us know at least 24 hours before the session so we can fill your space. We do quite often have a waiting list due to the capped numbers. If you let us know 24 hours or more in advance that you cannot make a session, we are more than happy to roll your session over to another one WITHIN THE SAME MONTH. However, if you do not let us know then we will not allow the session to be rolled over and you will not receive a refund. Of course, if there are extenuating circumstances, we will judge these on a case-by-case basis. New Members We are always happy to welcome new members. However, I would ask that you please don’t share the booking link with anyone. If anyone is interested, then please do give them Becky’s contact details so she can set them up on the system before booking in for sessions. Behaviour and General Etiquette At Gemini we have worked hard to create friendly and fun adult sessions, where we can genuinely say most of our members become friends. To this end, any unsociable behaviour will not be tolerated. All our members and staff have a right to be respected and treated fairly. Any abuse (verbal or physical), disrespect, bullying etc will never be tolerated and if this happens you will be asked to leave the club immediately.

Harrison's Hope

harrison's hope

Leicester

Our executive team has over 120 years of healthcare experience and works with our leadership teams and board of directors to support our caregivers.Harrison’s Hope knows that hospice care is equally about managing symptoms and addressing concerns of the patient and supporting and educating families and loved ones. A longtime employee Kristi Hartway shared, “We have always been very focused on the families.” Our Testimonials and Blog highlight a number of ways in which we have worked with patients and families to make final wishes come true. Many employees of the company have been touched by hospice themselves and truly understand the hospice benefit. These employees have seen firsthand the value, special care and services that are provided in the final months of life. Veteran care has also been a priority for Harrison’s Hope since the very beginning. In fact, the agency was one of the first hospices in the area to launch a “We Honor Veterans Program.” Veterans continue to be an important population for Harrison’s Hope and employees recognize Veterans each month through pinning ceremonies. specialized plans of care, assistance with Veteran benefits, a Veteran to Veteran volunteer program and much more. It is your choice to decide when the time for hospice is right for you. To the extent possible, hospice emphasizes quality of life and tries to give back to patients their own independence and control. Individuals who elect hospice care find that every effort is made to keep them comfortable; allowing them to spend their final months with their loved ones in the place that they call home. Ideally patients are referred to hospice when their life expectancy is approximately six months. Choosing hospice earlier allows the patient and their loved ones to make the most of their end-of-life journey. The hospice team is always there to guide them through the process and provide support – neither prolonging life nor hastening death. Please fill out our contact us form or call us at 208-286-1300 to learn more about how Harrison’s Hope can help you and/or your loved ones, today. We have hospice offices in the Boise and Twin Falls area and serve many surrounding counties. We also have sister agencies in four other regions that operate as Serenity Hospice, Hospice of Virginia, Hospice Partners, and Alamo Hospice.

Sheffield Jazz Workshop

sheffield jazz workshop

Sheffield

Sheffield Jazz runs a Saturday Morning Workshop providing an opportunity for people who play an instrument or sing to learn about and explore the theory and practice of jazz improvisation in a supportive group environment. The Workshop is now in its 40th year! There are currently five groups running each Saturday morning which are loosely graded from beginners to more experienced, each under the guidance of a tutor who is a jazz musician with wide experience of playing and teaching. Twice a year a concert will be arranged where each group will perform material that has been worked on during the preceding sessions. Who’s it for? Sheffield Jazz Workshop is intended for adults but is open to under-18s with parental consent, provided they are able to participate and behave appropriately in the group. Individual instrument tuition is not provided – some basic ability on your chosen instrument is required. Some familiarity with music theory would be helpful but is not a requirement. Anyone interested in exploring jazz improvisation is welcome to join in. The best way to find out if it’s right for you is to give it a try, including just listening and observing without an instrument at first if you so wish. The Workshop does not own or provide any equipment so you need to bring your own gear. Keyboard players need to bring an electric keyboard as the rooms we use don’t have pianos. Guitarists and bass players will need to bring an amp. Vocalists will need a mic and an amp unless you have a very strong voice! Bear in mind you’ll probably be in a room with 6 – 10 saxophones or brass instruments and need enough amplification to be heard in that context. Everyone else bring your instrument (and a music stand plus pencil and paper). Where, when and how much? Location: King Edward’s Upper School, Glossop Road, Sheffield, S10 2PW (near to the Hallamshire Hospital and King Edward’s Swimming Pool – car park access from Glossop Rd or Newbould Lane) Time: 10.00 am –12.30 pm on Saturdays, most Saturdays during school term time. If you are new to the workshop, please come along on a Saturday at 9.40 and someone will help you find a suitable group. If you have any questions, please contact Hannah at hanzieb@hotmail.com Cost per session; waged: £15.00, unwaged: £7.00 Please do not attend if you have tested positive for Covid-19, if you have Covid-type symptoms or have recently been in contact with someone who has or has subsequently tested positive for Covid. Who are the tutors? Workshop groups are mostly run by Chris Walker, Hannah Taylor, Graham Jones, Nadim Teimoori and Johnny Hunter. Occasionally some sessions will be run by other musicians, including Jude Sacker, Dave Burgoyne and Paul Baxter.

We are influenced by those who came before us and influencing those who come after. Everything in the universe is interconnected so are we. We inherit cultures and experiences. This is known as collective unconscious or memory in nature. Memory in nature organises itself in systems such as flock of birds, religions, countries, football teams, and so on but the most important system for human beings is the family. Family systems are responsible for how we live and how we thrive through natural laws called 'The Orders of Love". The orders of love rarely exist intact within the average family. They dictate who belongs and how so disruption happens when a family member has been excluded by their families. All exclusion creates disruption. They are known as entanglements. 'The idea of the memory being the brain is an assumption. Everything that happens in our culture we inherit,' Rupert Sheldrake. What if a man’s drug addiction were really a search for connection with his father? Suppose a suicidal adolescent was unconsciously trying to follow the fate of an older brother who wasn't born because the mother had a miscarriage? What if a woman’s breast cancer were rooted in the unconscious feeling of guilt for having had an abortion? Why do people who adopt children often end up divorcing or losing all intimacy in their marriage? Why do marriages where a spouse who cheated then was forgiven ends? What if a man's alcoholism is because of an unconscious loyalty to his alcoholic father? Can a person’s chronic low back pain actually represents the need to show respect to their mother or father? What if the guilt a person feels really belongs to a family member who's been a slave owner or a Nazi soldier? LOOK AT SOME MAJOR SIGNS A STORY NEEDS HEALING: No matter your efforts, success doesn't come to you. Money is a struggle; you either never make enough or you spend more than what you have. Do you always end up with the same type of partner? There's this feeling something is missing in your life but you just don't know what! You feel lost, unhappy but don't know why! Drug use, alcoholism... HAVE AN OVERALL LOOK INTO THE FACTS THAT GET US ENTANGLED IN LIFE STRUGGLES Exclusions & Self-exclusions, Murder, Suicide, Slavery, Family Secret, Prolonged hospitalisations, Abortion, Miscarriage, Early death of a parent, Early death of a child Stillborn, War, Abandonment, Adoption, Divorce... Symptoms you have inherited some kind of family trauma may show through lack of success and difficulties in earning or keeping money. But also illnesses, mental distress and a string of failed relationships. Developed by Bert Hellinger, this is the quickest and most efficient therapy at present. The resolution of an entanglement gives a sense of peace and autonomy to run your life in a conscious way.

London

I offer a wide range of energy based natural complementary therapies in Scotland and Cumbria. Some of the different healing modalities are ground breaking and offer a broader perspective to understanding your health and wellbeing. Click here for a list of natural treatments Healing Focusing on clearing, healing and empowering yourself to have the strength and confidence in your body’s own healing ability and unique system. Many of us have forgotten how special we are, with unique gifts to offer others and how much potential we all have to heal ourselves. The focus of our sessions will be to put you back in the driving seat and to help you start living a more happy, peaceful and rewarding life. It is good to start with a cleansing treatment We can focus on reiki-symbol-newClearing and balancing the energy centres Raising your energy levels of awareness and self belief Understanding and reducing anxiety and stress Removing limiting beliefs and energy blockages Reclaiming your mind and focused thinking Techniques to help create the life you most desire Many of my clients explain they have come to a place in their lives where they feel powerless and are affected greatly by the circumstances around them. Some clients feel stressed and don’t know where to turn or feel they need to make changes in their lives and are not sure how. This changes when we realise that our realities are created within us and how we feel about ourselves and our life will greatly determine the outcome. Rather than taking a tablet to dull the symptoms of issues arising, Wishing Well Therapies is able to embrace every element of ourselves and to further understand and heal from within. The sessions allow a greater sense of freedom and empowerment that come from taking the reigns of your own experience of the world! I am based at Gretna Green covering Scotland and mobile to; Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dumfries & the Lockerbie area. Also working from the Wishing Wellness Centre at Morton Manor. Morton Manor is now a community centre after previously being a beautiful stately home surrounded by 4 acres of Chances Park gardens. It was presented as a gift to the people of the Carlisle in 1944 by Sir Robert Chance and is now a thriving community centre. The Manor, as it is fondly know, is a listed building and the interior still retains its original character dating back to 1780. The Wishing Wellness rooms are comfortable, warm rooms, suitable for therapies & training and can be found through the old billiard room cafe and half way up the main sweeping staircase. Home & Health visits Click here for details are available & taking into account the travel time & fuel it will cost a little more. I work with a combination of Universal energy, Pranic and Plasma Healing being channelled through me and I have been focused on these schools of learning for some years. My aim is to work with clients to help them feel a greater sense of calm, joy and self worth. Each session is entirely unique and my focus is to help each client individually to make sure they receive the treatment that is right for them at that present time. My clients have expressed feelings of increased energy, vitality and life changing moments in both mental and physical issues as well as increased levels of inner peace which is life enhancing. Being attuned to Reiki has had a huge benefit to my own personal health and I am very grateful to be able to share this healing with others.

Cathy Chiplen Compassionate Therapies

cathy chiplen compassionate therapies

Taunton

I have been building my Complementary Therapy practice since 2005. Initially offering Reflexology and Reiki, and more recently I have added Sound Healing to my portfolio. I am also a qualified Soul Midwife, which is a holistic and spiritual companion to the dying, assisting people to make a gentle transition at the end of their life. Following some deeply profound personal experiences with death over the last 20 years I trained in 2017 with Felicity Warner, founder of the Soul Midwives School, Dorset. I am deeply honoured to be a mentor for newly qualified Soul Midwives in the Somerset & Bath And North East Somerset areas. Please see my Soul Midwifery Page for more information on this amazing work. I am passionate about empowering people to achieve a real sense of health, harmony and wellbeing. I can help you to rest, relax and really give yourself the time and space you need to just BE. I heard a saying recently along the lines of ‘we are human beings, not human doings’ and that really resonates with me ….. so often we are so caught up in the minutiae of everyday life, it’s hard to stand back, take stock and just breathe. That’s where I can help you to reconnect to yourself and to assist you to get your mind, body, emotions and spirit back into balance. Our bodies are always striving for homeostasis, which is perfect balance, and through our work together I can support you in this. I always say, it’s not me doing the work, it’s you who do it, I am just guiding the way. With a gentle loving touch, the right amount of empathy and shed loads of empowerment I can support and guide you into a greater sense of health and wellbeing. I support clients with a wide range of varying lifestyles, conditions and needs. I treat you holistically, which means I see you as a whole person rather than a collection of symptoms. I am a fully qualified Reflexologist, Sound Healer and a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui tradition and lineage. I hold full membership of the Association of Reflexologists and I co-lead one of the Associations Area Groups for Reflexologists. I treat my therapy clients in a relaxed home environment and always give them quality time and focused attention. I treat as I find and am governed by my clients needs rather than the clock. My aim is to give each client the space to totally relax and unwind, allowing the body to heal itself. One of my absolute passions is supporting women along their fertility, conception and birth journey. Through my own struggles with fertility I have a deep understanding of the urgent yearning for a child and the frustrations and self-recrimination this can bring, not to mention the strain on your relationship. I offer a non-judgemental empathetic listening ear, I have tissues for when you feel low and I will cheer you on when you share your good news with me. I am a strong advocate for natural pregnancy, childbirth and parenting but I would never push my own views on anyone, I support women in all their various choices. I am a qualified Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and am always happy to assist with any questions regarding any aspect of pregnancy, birthing, breastfeeding and so on. I had all three of my children at home in our own little birthing pool using homeopathy and Hypnobirthing to support me. I am very pro women’s choice for all aspects – Your body, your baby, your choices! See my Helpful Links Page for signposting to other professionals and further resources such as classes and groups supporting new parents. When I’m not working I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our three lovely children, one of our favourite activities is walking our dog, Saffy, at Hestercombe Gardens, or on the surrounding hills. I also enjoy a Kundalini Yoga class each week with Shivdev Kaur and a Kayaking, Canoeing or Stand-Up Paddleboarding session with TASCC (Taunton Adventurous Sport Canoe Club) so I have time as just ‘Cathy’ rather than ‘Mum’ or ‘Therapist’!

EMDR Strategies for Medically Unexplained Symptoms with Dr. Zeynep Zat

By EMDR Consultancy

EMDR Strategies for Medically Unexplained Symptoms: Migraine and Fibromyalgia – Clinical Application & Research-Based Strategies Over the past decade, we have worked with clients experiencing migraine and fibromyalgia with Emre Konuk. During this time, we developed specialized EMDR strategies tailored to the unique needs of these conditions. Our clinical experience and ongoing research have demonstrated that these protocols are effective in reducing symptoms and improving quality of life. Our work on the EMDR treatment of fibromyalgia was recognized with a $25,000 grant from the EMDR Research Foundation, further validating the impact of these interventions. In this workshop, participants will learn the EMDR strategies developed specifically for migraine and fibromyalgia. Real client session videos will be shown to illustrate the protocols in action, bringing theory into practice. This practical, research-informed workshop is designed for EMDR-trained clinicians seeking to strengthen their confidence in working with somatic conditions closely linked to trauma.
