Big White Shed opened its doors in 2015 to support the completion of projects by helping find those missing 'bits' needed for a successful outcome. Initially an idea brought about by the frustration of finding a publisher for her novel, founder Anne Holloway decided to do it herself! Tired of waiting for someone to publish her book and spurred on by positive comments from those who had read it, and the success of other authors who had taken control for themselves, she decided to do the same and set up a small press. Drawing on contacts made over the years, she managed the production of the novel from editing, designing, print sourcing and type setting through to marketing and managing sales. She had to buy in services, trade expertise, ask favours, and more importantly than that, was propelled forward by the belief of others in what she was doing. The success of the project made her determined to support others in 'doing it themselves'. As well as first hand experience of small-scale publishing, she has expertise in coaching and mentoring, writing, editing, performing, teaching and sales management. She has a strong track record in the retail and entertainments industries, has set up and run small organisations, was co-director of East Midlands poetry collective Mouthy Poets for 6 years, Creative Director of Nottingham Poetry Festival in 2021 and 2022 and writes and performs her own work. Big White Shed is a place to seek advice and tools, trade expertise and ideas in order to complete a creative project - a virtual meeting place for people who want to get a job done and the people who can help achieve that. A message from the Founder & Director Stephanie Williams S6 Tutoring Academy was formed following my own experience of working within the state education system. After graduating with a 2.1 BA Hons in Marketing and Business Studies, I qualified as a teacher and taught Maths, English, Music, Science and Business Studies in a Secondary State School. S6 Tutoring is a private limited company in the education sector, dedicated to tutoring and mentoring young people. The company is young and vibrant and is the choice for parents who want their children to maximise their academic potential. Our vision is to play a pivotal role in improving academic standards. The company provides an initial, honest, home assessment that will accurately evaluate a child’s need. Each tutor is CRB checked and has qualifications and experience relevant to the role. An assessment of a child’s ability and potential is carried out in the initial stages, leaving parents secure in their expectations. I encourage my team of tutors to be pro-active in their approach and be responsible for the provision of educational services, continually pushing the boundaries with effective and exciting teaching aids. Since we opened in 2011 Hammersmith Academy has been striving to do something different. I founded HA because I wanted to create an inspiring school in the local community that had a clear vision, fostered self-confidence in its students and provided a Private School level of education for all. There IS a way to prepare for a positive birth, and it's not all woo woo and weird. It's based in physiology (how the body works) and psychology (how the mind works). Put those together and you've got the basis of hypnobirthing. Many think that hypnobirthing is simply controlled breathing and some pictures of roses, but is is so much more. . . and you learn why breathing and pictures are helpful too.  Not only do you learn about the techniques you learn how to navigate the maternity systems that are in your area, and how to get the best birth with the resources available.  In my courses you will learn: * physiology of birth - how the body works in labour and birth * hypnotherapy for birth - releasing fears and building confidence * techniques for birth - breathing and practical applications * birth positions - why different postures matter * birth partners - how to be an amazing birth partner * the system - how to understand and navigate the maternity system in your area * labour and birth - what it looks like, feels like and when to use the techniques your used * place of birth - where can you have your baby?
