At NVQ Academy we have specialised in the delivery of Vocational Qualifications within the Childcare and Care Sectors since 1996. NVQ Academy works with Organisations to establish a system that streamlines the qualification process by using naturally occurring Performance Evidence and utilises your own in-house training for Knowledge evidence.  The use of Work-Based assessment allows for the creation of an integrated rolling programme of qualifications that can occur within your own time/requirement frameworks. We are not reliant on Government funding and therefore staff do not need to complete extraneous elements required for funding only purposes - and can concentrate on any regulatory bodies (and/or your own) requirements. Our use of in-house Work-Based Assessors* also eliminates the need for outside personnel to visit your care settings.  This is valued by our clients who have sensitive environments. *Training and Qualification (if necessary) of an appropriate senior member of your staff included in package price. Note: Minimum number of Learners apply If you do not have a senior member of staff available to act as a Work-Based Assessor - please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements. Please note - All the Qualifications offered by NVQ Academy are vocational qualifications and require the Learner/s to be working within the Childcare/Care Sector in order to provide the relevant evidence.  We are unable to deliver Qualifications directly to single Learners or those who are not employed in the Care Sector. As the Founder, and Principal Trust Leader, I offer SALT professional and unconditional direction, based on eighteen years of strategic and operational leadership, spanning Education, Health and Children’s Social Care. I have gained extensive experience, across multiple settings, inclusive of; Schools, Academy Trusts, Local Authorities, Residential Childcare Settings, Secure Training Centers, Clinical, Counselling and Educational Psychology Services, Youth Offending Teams and Her Majesty’s Prison Service. My journey has given me the courage and opportunity, to work with, and alongside, many Children who have suffered from developmental trauma, and early childhood adversity. It is through the demonstration of their courage, determination and emotional resilience, that I am able to offer SALT authentic leadership, and collaborative opportunities, to enhance possibilities, increase potential, and preserve futures for Children and Young People.

At Witham Training Centre we specialise in the delivery and assessment of Health and Social Care, Residential Childcare and Leadership and Management Qualifications and Professional Development training courses relevant to the Health and Social Care and Residential Childcare, Early Years Childcare, learning disability care settings and settings that care for people with Autism and other complex care needs and behaviours that challenge. We offer a range of RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) qualifications that are relevant to the care industry from adult care and childcare through to non-industry specific leadership and management qualifications for individuals wanting to gain a qualification prior to embarking on or progressing through their career. Our Leadership and Management Qualifications are not just specific to the care industry. This Qualification is relevant to leadership and Management roles within all industries. We can deliver any of the qualifications and courses privately to the individual or in conjunction with companies looking to develop their workforce into a well qualified and knowledgeable team by supporting them and assessing them through their studies until their qualification is achieved. In addition to delivering and assessing qualifications we also deliver a range of accredited Professional Development courses and our own professional development courses that are both mandatory and specific to the needs of the care services in which we specialise. These courses are available at our training suite in Newark, Nottinghamshire and externally by prior arrangement. In addition to this we can deliver our non-industry specific courses, which include Fire Safety and Fire Safety and Fire Marshal Training, First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and Mental Health First aid to individuals and groups from any industry. Witham Training Centre Ltd was founded in 2021 following years of successful staff development within the care homes and childcare settings of the family group. The training facility has grown and expanded to be able to offer the same high quality training to other companies looking to increase or outsource their training needs and to enable individuals who are looking to enhance their CV by gaining the knowledge and qualifications to expand the job opportunities available to them.
