This provides focus and clarity for the tutoring process, allowing us to target specifically where each tutee needs particular support. Our educational services are designed to help tutees take control of their learning, to facilitate and inform the UCAS application process and to provide a forum for tutees to learn or develop their language skills in French, German, Spanish, ESOL or EAL. Each tutorial is tailored the needs of each individual, providing a bespoke service to support each tutee in their endeavour to achieve their own aims and objectives. Specifically, our educational services have five purposes: &bull; To support and advise tutees on how to study effectively; &bull; To support tutees throughout the UCAS application process; &bull; To prepare tutees wishing to read French, German or Spanish at Oxford or Cambridge; &bull; To provide high quality French, German or Spanish tuition to adults, undergraduates, students, business professionals and young children (4 to 11); &bull; To provide a variety of ESOL and EAL services for international students.
TUTOR REGISTRATION We follow a highly-selective framework for registering all of our tutors. We undertake a number of checks on all applicants before they can register with us. Around 70% of our applicants are turned away, as they don&rsquo;t reach our stringent requirements; this ensures that our tutees will always receive an experienced, highly qualified tutor, with a proven track record, who is passionate about the language(s) they teach and/or the educational service(s) they provide. All tutors must have DBS Enhanced Disclosure before they are fully registered. TUTORING ARRANGEMENTS We tutor in the comfort of your home, your office, online (via Skype, Zoom or FaceTime), or at the home of one of our specialist tutors, at a time that is most convenient for you. We tutor Monday through to Saturday (inclusive), between 8.00am and 9.00pm. Travel costs are free for tutees living within a 3 mile radius of Bournemouth town centre. 50 pence per mile will be added to the tutoring rate thereafter. We currently tutor in person within a 10 mile radius of Bournemouth town centre, including Christchurch, Parkstone, Poole, Southbourne, Westbourne, Boscombe, Moordown, Winton, Charminster, Wimborne and Branksome. Our tutors are flexible and adaptable and they plan strategically to offer each tutee multiple avenues through which they can access, understand, and apply what they learn.
