Learn to applique, learn what tools and tricks you need to really make this work for you. Also get to grips with the really free and artistic free motion machine embroidery technique. Set your machine free to draw with it, combined with applique you can make stunning art! This is a very practical and hands on class which will see you appliqueing & free motion stitching in no time, the techniques are easily mastered so you can spend your time creating. Part of a 4 day quilting course, but suitable as a stand alone course too.

Learn how to cut and stitch a variety of fun improv quilt blocks in this one day workshop. There will be a further patchwork class on 18th November, a free motion stitching and appliqué class on 25th November and a final workshop on 9th December to learn to put the quilt sandwich together, and bind it.

Francesca Wyllie (BA Hons Fine Art) has an amazing north-facing art studio at El Retiro in Andalucia, which was purpose-built to accommodate painting groups. Bespoke painting and sculpture workshops can be arranged or Francesca can travel locally to guide you in your own studios or locations.

Airway Management Airway Management Training Course Three Hours Cost:  £50 + vat per person This 3-hour course will equip learners with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise on how to manage a casualty’s airway in the event of an emergency. The course is suitable for First Aiders, pre-hospital care providers and those working in high-risk environments. SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered, including: The respiratory system Principles of airway management Airway examination and assessment The airway management ladder Practical training CERTIFICATION Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual throughout the course and issue a non-regulated certificate of achievement where the required level of attainment has been met. NUMBERS A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course. Age limit Learners must be a minimum of 16 years of age to attend the course. We will discuss how to lay out the stones within the setting and discuss fine tolerances. You will then prepare your ring for setting before you begin drilling and opening the channel and finally set the stones in place. By the end of the day you will have the knowledge needed to apply these advanced techniques to your own designs.
