REFERENCE CODE 601/8330/5 COURSE LEVEL NVQ Level 2 THIS COURSE IS AVAILABLE IN Course Overview This qualification is aimed at those who are involved in installing roof sheeting and cladding systems and associated tasks on site working from drawings and specifications. It is not expected that candidates working in this industry all do the same activities or use the same equipment and machinery so there is a group of optional units to cover these matters, however all candidates will need to prove competence in preparing the resources required, installation of sheeting and cladding systems and rainwater goods (gutters, pipes, downpipes and angles (swan necks, off sets), brackets and supports, sumps, overflows and outlets). All work completed must be carried out in accordance with Building Regulations and Industry recognised safe working practices, including the disposal of waste. The qualification is structured to ensure that there is a high degree of flexibility within the units available and will allow employees from companies of all sizes and specialisms equal opportunity to complete. To provide this opportunity in addition to the core skills above, candidates will also be able to select optional units recognising skills including, repair and/or refurbishment of roof sheeting/cladding/rainscreen systems, working with boom and/or scissor type mobile elevating platforms (MEWPs), installing solar collectors, use of ergonomic manipulating machines or slinging/signalling the movement of loads.

The QA Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care also known as FREC3 is a PHEM D qualification which is the entry level into being able to provide medical cover at events. The cost is £425 plus VAT per person (£510pp) This is a 5 day course being held at our training centre in Laindon, Essex (SS15 6SS), all days must be attended and sessions will be 9am-5pm each day. You can start your baby’s swimming journey as soon as you feel ready to visit a warm swimming pool. We have had babies taking their first swim at only four weeks old. The sooner you start swimming lessons for your baby the better their understanding and confidence in the water will be. Your baby’s first experience in a structured swimming lesson is a wonderful and gentle introduction to water sensory techniques. We will teach you how to be comfortable and confident holding, moving, floating and playing with your baby in the pool.

The aim of the course is to ensure that safety requirements are appreciated by managers. To enable them to review their own safety systems. It give’s the ability to introduce new controls and possibly implement changes as appropriate to ensure safety in the workplace. Who Should Attend? The course is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector, who are required to manage health and safety risk and resources within their organisation. Module 7 – Measuring Performance. What do IOSH Managing Safely Courses involve? The course has seven comprehensive modules. These modules cover risk assessment and control, Health and Safety Legislation, common hazards, accident and incident investigation. Also covered is performance measurement. Effectively covering all aspects of safety management in the workplace. To obtain the IOSH Managing Safely certificate, attendees will need to complete a four day course. The course is delivered using high quality animated graphics. This includes sophisticated, fun presentations to make the content of the course more memorable. With training tools including board games, DVDs and quizzes displaying clear scenarios and essential practical content. We have worked hard to ensure that taking an IOSH Managing Safely course is as enjoyable as possible. Attendees will officially attain their IOSH Managing Safely certificate upon successful completion of both the written and practical assessments of the course. Certification: An IOSH Managing Safely certificate is awarded to all those who attend the course successfully completing both written and practical assessments. Candidates will also receive an excellent workbook from IOSH, with all the tools to help them once they are back in the workplace. Understanding of the course material is evaluated by means of a 45-minute written assessment paper consisting of 20 multi-format questions. There is also a practical assessment.
