Dolphin Swim Group

Cheadle

We’re committed to our reputation as a swim school of the highest quality. We offer a modern alternative to traditional large group, summer swim lessons to make your child learn faster and have more fun. We have indoor classes year-round, and you can start any week of the year. To provide easy scheduling,* call us the week before you would like to start lessons to find the best level, class, and weekly time for your child; classes are once-weekly for 30 minutes. Once you start, we require that you commit to at least two full months of lessons because we want you to see a substantial improvement in your child’s skills and, more importantly, we want your child to retain the skills they learn. Payments are made easy from the start with monthly automatic payments taken from a credit card kept safely on file. After that initial enrollment, you never have to re-register; we will hold your child’s spot until you ask for a schedule change, your child graduates into the next level, or you need to take a break. One of the best things about our open enrollment scheduling is that your child can move up throughout our nine levels as soon as he/she is ready; we will never restrict your child’s learning because of age or time spent in a class. We love our advanced classes with four and five year-olds swimming the butterfly stroke! Then, if you need to take a break from lessons for any reason, you can stop your enrollment anytime with a 30-day written notice (needed to stop your payments and make sure your account is settled). Learning to swim does take time. It is a complex, but life-saving skill, and it is always worth learning. We promise to make the process easy for you and fun for your child. You don’t have to take our word for it—see for yourself with a FREE Trial Lesson today! *Since we are a specialty school that provides only swim lessons, all of our efforts are focused on making classes and experiences great. To make scheduling and your account access even easier, check out our online Parent Portal!

Project Hoop

We bring hoop to your events and parties, whether it be a hen party, or a black tie event. RoRo is a performer and a qualified teacher who has over 10 years teaching practise and a whole load of hoop experience. Originally self-taught, she now teaches at schools, circus schools, and conventions, as well as running weekly classes, and workshops. We travel often and have teachers all over the UK so no gig, workshop or class is too big or too small. We have esteemed performers nationwide who can provide entertainment and workshops for large-scale events with specialisms in hula hoop, fire, LED and aerial. Our School of Circus sessions provide workshop packages and sessions with an attention on being different from the norm, we have circus, dance, and a whole lot more. You can find more information under schools & colleges. Many young people do not experience any aspect of circus as prop for performance or as a physical activity and it is our intention to address this whilst offering something different to the conventional norm. As a performer we show case single and multi hoop tricks, blending circus, dance, and a whole load of pizazz. These can be done according to theme, with other performers (hoop or other), or with LED. Party packages (popular for hen & birthday parties) give you the opportunity to learn and see some impressive stuff, where guests can be entertained, whilst learning and having fun. If you are looking for a new hobby, or are wanting to get serious in the world of hoop, you have come to the right place. It’s fitness, it’s circus, it’s dance, and so much more. Moreover, it is something you can practice pretty much anywhere. All you need is a hoop, a sprinkle of determination, and some space. All classes and workshops are taught by trained professionals, in a supportive and structured environment. We can teach online or in person. Our takeaway classes (filmed during teaching in Covid-19) are available for you to purchase, download, and keep. A great teaching tool for aspiring hoop teachers, as well as those who want to learn all the tricks, or improve. Available in our shop under digital content.

We listen to the parents and students as well as supporting our tutors to deliver high quality education. We adapt to the needs of the students. Our tutors are specially chosen. We are not an agency; we are revision and tuition specialists. We have worked in education for many years and have tried to avoid the problems with some tutorial and agencies. For us it is about creating the best experience for everyone, in a supportive manner. We work with some of the best tutors in oxford, we are flexible and this is something so necessary in tuition services. We have found that students need a range of support and this is something we offer. We specialise in revision courses that are tailored to the needs of the students. We have small group revision courses running all year. With even more around Easter and summer. We offer one to one tuition in person and online depending on the needs of the students. Adam and Colin are accessible to support students through the many stages of the education and we offer support in study skills and revision techniques to all our students. We have tailored our courses and tuition to a variety of different needs of students, whether that be a subject which cannot be taught in college, does not fit in with a students’ other subjects, or they require some supplementary learning, extra revision, study skills or one-to-one tuition. We offer classes in revision after normal school hours, during half-term and holidays. Some students struggle in the big classroom so we have courses that have fewer students, which allows for more attention given to the individual. We create an ideal opportunity for students who have chosen to be homeschooled, or students who need to retake but don’t want to go back to a school environment. Oxford Revision Course was set up by tutors with years of experience behind them, a carefully selected team that we work closely with. We listen to the needs of the tutors and the students to create an ideal working environment. We offer competitive rates and supplementary materials to help the students have everything they need to succeed in their subjects.

Taibach Community Library

taibach community library

Port Talbot

Hello and welcome to our website. We are a volunteer run community library based in Taibach, Port Talbot. Taibach Library’s roots go back over 100 years, to 1913 when Margam Urban District Council received a grant of £2,500 from the Carnegie Trust for a free circulating library in Taibach. The foundation stone was laid in 1914 and the library opened its doors to the public in 1916. Fast forward nearly 100 years later to May 2014, and the Library was threatened with closure due to local authority cuts. As a result of this, a local group of people came together and formed the Taibach Community Library charity. The library is now run entirely by volunteers, and we rely on the generosity of individuals and local businesses for support. Without that help, we would not be able to serve those in our community as we currently do. The Library continues to play a central role in providing vital opportunities for people, young and old to learn, develop and socialise at the heart of the community. Whilst the traditional book lending remains, our library also offers much more, from regular clubs for children and young people to gather and share their interests to coffee mornings and providing support and access for people of all ages to make the most of everything that the internet has to offer. This year, our goal is to raise £5,000. Every donation that we receive will be spent directly to help us make an important difference to our local community. Whether it goes towards paying our insurance, heating or electricity bill or helping fund the purchase of new equipment, every donor will be acknowledged in our promotional literature and on our community sponsorship board located in the Library itself. There are many different ways that individuals or businesses can donate to us. We can accept cash, cheque or card payments at the Library itself, or we can accept money via bank transfer or Paypal. Individuals can also support us when they shop online via Amazon, eBay, Tesco, Booking.com and much more. You can find out more here.

We are also able to create bespoke programmes to meet specific organisational needs. These experiential learning programmes build on a simulated workplace, with strong tutor support to ensure that students have an enjoyable learning experience. Our tutors are all logistics and supply chain professionals, from a range of backgrounds spanning commercial, humanitarian and military sectors. All are driven by one vision – to help students through to successful completion of their programmes. We want you to ask the questions when you need help and guidance. Customer service and support for our students is at the heart of our business. Our Programmes use the innovative ‘competence model’ approach, which emphasizes application of skills, as opposed to the examination of knowledge. At the start of their course, the student is placed into a realistic scenario in which they have to advise on and manage logistics functions. Throughout the programmes, candidates are supported by tutors who are experienced in commercial or humanitarian logistics. The team at LLA also assess candidates’ assignments and determine when they are ready to proceed to the next unit. The European Supply Chain Award for Excellence in Training and Professional Development is awarded for projects that have resulted in improvements to the supply chain via strategic use of training and development programmes. In 2011, the award was won by the partnership of the Fritz Institute, CILT and LLA for the Certification in Humanitarian Logistics (CHL) programme. LLA is also an approved Learning Provider for the Enhanced Learning Credits scheme, designed to provide assistance to qualifying British Military service personnel in gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

From its inception in 1999 Foresight has grown from a group of enthusiastic volunteers with a mission to assist blind and partially sighted people to lead more fulfilled lives, into a well respected mainstream support organisation addressing the varied and complex needs of its clients. Demand for the services of the organisation is such that Foresight has already grown out of its first home and moved into a new improved premises. Whilst the organisation was delivering a limited range of services under a variety of grant-funded schemes these premises were adequate and indeed accommodated 10,000 visits last year. Foresight, however, realised some time ago, that if it was going to continue to grow and sustain itself in the future it needed to move away from grant dependency towards becoming a deliverer of mainstream services. During extensive market research with its client group, Foresight uncovered a massive range of needs and untold areas of distress that were not being addressed by the statutory authorities. After long negotiations with the local authority Foresight were able to successfully tender for its first contract to deliver services. These have proved so successful that the local authority has procured additional services from the organisation. Foresight has also applied to several external bodies for funding assistance on new projects and these are due to come online very shortly. The only obstacle now in the way of the organisations' expansion and sustainability is the building it occupies. It is not large enough to accommodate the increasing number of its clients, is not adaptable to meet the specialised needs of its clients and it cannot accommodate the new services Foresight wish to offer its growing client base. This will shortly be addressed as we establish a new base for the organisation that is fit for use and this will be a major stand of the organisations move towards sustainability and away from grant dependence. During its phenomenal growth Foresight has benefited from the wide experience of its Trustees, who have supported the staff and volunteers in growing the business in a sustainable and measured way and this experience will stand the organisation in good stead during its next phase of growth.

Migration Museum

London

About the Migration Museum The Migration Museum explores how the movement of people to and from Britain across the ages has shaped who we are – as individuals, as communities, and as a nation. Migration is a pressing contemporary issue and is at the centre of polarised political and online debate. But there’s an underlying story of comings and goings stretching back many centuries. And this story goes to the heart of who we are today. Britain has thousands of museums, but none comprehensively focused on this important theme that connects us all. The time is right for a highly relevant, accessible visitor attraction that shines a light on who we are, where we come from and where we are going. From our current home in the heart of Lewisham Shopping Centre, we stage engaging exhibitions and dynamic events, alongside a far-reaching education programme for primary, secondary, university and adult learners. We have a growing digital presence and convene a knowledge-sharing Migration Network of museums and galleries across the UK. The story so far The Migration Museum was founded by Barbara Roche, who first made the case for a migration museum for Britain almost 20 years ago, stemming from her time as Britain’s immigration minister, and from visiting similar museums in other parts of the world – notably Ellis Island in New York. Barbara assembled a founding team of people from different professional backgrounds who shared her passionate belief that Britain’s migration history should be placed at the heart of our national story. Together, they began to scope what a national migration museum might look like. Sophie Henderson, a former immigration judge and barrister, came on board as Director in 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, the Migration Museum staged pop-up exhibitions and events and ran education workshops at a wide range of venues across the UK, including the Southbank Centre, the National Maritime Museum and City Hall in London, the Museum of Oxford, Leicester railway station, and the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh. From 2017 to 2019, the Migration Museum was ba
