Richard started playing the electric guitar at age eight after being inspired by a Spanish guitarist on a family holiday in Menorca. Richard was privately taught up until age fifteen and continued his study of music through college and university after he left school. He performed regularly as a child gigging from age nine in social clubs and retirement homes, playing a variety of Shadows/Buddy Holly music. Richard has entered numerous competitions over the years, one of which he came second in at the Fry’s Club Search For A Star Competition. He has also performed at the Lakeside venue where the Darts are televised, winning a Fender guitar presented to him by Bruce Welch of The Shadows. He also played for five years in a successful pub/wedding, functions band called Outbreak. Richard continues to regularly involve himself in performances and has deputised for many local bands including Tundra & Obsidian. Richard also performs regularly with a six piece wedding/function band called Freeze. He is a full time professional musician, making a living from performing, teaching and studio session work. Richard has seven years teaching experience and has performed in thousands of venues all over the South West in the seventeen years he has been playing the guitar. He graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Professional Musicianship from the Bristol Institute Of Modern Music. He has been featured on their website under success stories. Take a read Here. He has been lucky enough to receive master classes from guitarists such as Greg Howe (Michael Jackson’s guitarist) Rene Woollard (Jessie J/Olly Murs/Cheryl Cole session guitarist) and has been taught by professional guitarists who regularly work for Guitarist, Total Guitar & Guitar Techniques magazines including Stuart Ryan & Jamie Humphries. Richard was also lucky enough to perform onstage with bassist Jet Harris from The Shadows. He has also featured in an interview on making a living as a professional guitarist in Total Guitar magazine, issue number #257. He has experience teaching in schools as part of the South Gloucestershire Music Hub, so he’s comfortable teaching in a group lesson environment.

We love Leamington Spa in the UK, and we love being part of a fantastic church community that is really seeking to make a difference. The church has a rich history upon which we are building for future generations. The church building, formerly known as St. Michael’s, was built around 1900 and was the chapel to a girl’s reformatory school. During the 1930s, many families in Leamington Spa were becoming Christians, and so a Pentecostal movement bought the building, using it for regular church services. The church, now called Life Community Church, became part of a network of Pentecostal churches called the AoG (Assemblies of God), which is made up of around 600 churches in Great Britain, and is the sixth largest denomination worldwide. In 2012, there was a leadership transition and David and Leanne Bolton felt the call of God to lead the church and start an exciting journey of repurposing it. Their dream today, like those in the past, is to see many more families in Leamington Spa and across the globe, coming to faith in Jesus. Today, we are a growing, life-giving church for all ages and backgrounds, and God is drawing people to us from all nationalities. LCC exists to help people grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether people arrive with no faith and are exploring Christianity for the first time, or have been Christians for many years, there is a place for everyone. The Scottish Music Therapy Trust is run by a team of volunteers students, music therapists, academics and other professionals dedicated to promoting music therapy. He is a keen amateur musician with a background in disability awareness. He has sat on a number of committees advising both the public and private sector on how best to support the needs of the disabled community, not only in Scotland but throughout Europe. The SMTT allows him to combine these interests in music and in disability. Trustee: Dr Philippa Derrington Philippa is a Music Therapist and Programme Leader of the MSc Music Therapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Trustee: Duncan Campbell Duncan is an Edinburgh based Music Therapist, having graduated from the MSc Music Therapy course at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, in 2018. He has clinical experience of working with adults and children with learning disabilities, ASD, mental health and also working with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Currently Duncan is working full time within NHS Lothian’s CAMHS. Trustee: Nadine Allan Nadine is a registered Music Therapist who graduated from the MSc Music Therapy course at Queen Margaret University in 2020. She is currently working with ELM Music Therapy in Aberdeen and the shire. Nadine has clinical experience of working with children, adolescents and adults with additional support needs and mental health difficulties. She is currently working mainly with children who have profound multiple learning disabilities in schools, as well as co-running a Sing and Sign group. Trustee: Hannah Quigley Hannah is a student on the MSc Music Therapy Course at Queen Margaret University. Before beginning the course in September 2021, she studied Music at the University of Edinburgh where she gained experience delivering community music workshops in schools, mainly for children with additional support needs. Trustee: Tilly Mütter Tilly is a student on the MSc Music Therapy Course at Queen Margaret University. After completing her undergrad in Canterbury she became the Music Lead at The Sunflower Federation Schools in Hertfordshire; for students with additional needs and profound multiple learning disabilities, where she used music to help improve the student’s individual targets.

I started going to yoga classes when I was just 16, tagging along with my Mum who had been going for years to her favourite teacher Sam. Yoga stayed with me throughout my adolescence, and I always found a class wherever I was, whether at University, on holiday or when I moved away from home. When I settled in Kent, I found an amazing teacher, Rebecca Papa-Adams, who was teaching at my local gym, and I was hooked, I went to yoga several times a week, practiced at home and started becoming interested in the non physical side of yoga. Rebecca convinced me to start my teacher training, even though my immediate plans included marriage and babies. I began my 500 hour teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2015, shortly after I got married, and unbeknown to me I was already pregnant on the first day of teacher training. I studied for 2.5 years with the British Wheel of Yoga and formed an amazing circle of mentors, teachers and friends throughout that time. I ended up studying and teaching throughout both my pregnancies, which added a whole other dimension to my journey. Seeing the amazing physical and mental effects of yoga whilst being pregnant encouraged me to begin pregnancy teacher training in 2019 soon after my second baby was born; he even joined me on my teacher training days. Yoga provides a lot of different things for different people, but for me it has been present for most of my adult life keeping me grounded, physically mobile and calm. It's opened my mind to other areas of health that I would have never explored otherwise. It's not about being the most flexible or being able to meditate for hours on end, but having strategies and coping mechanisms to live a happy and vibrant life. The classes I teach all include an element of strength, so that when you do stretch, its safe and controlled. I'd love for you to join me at one of my classes, whatever stage you are at.

Cherished Blossoms, operated by Cynthia Jackson and a team of creative artists and teachers, is currently based in Kumasi, Ghana. A home educator of two active and creative souls who loves playing, drawing and having the opportunity to play computer games (what kid in our current times doesn't appreciate a bit of crazy Minecraft character creation). Our days involve studying and exploring (with the encouragement of self-directed play) and creating experiences, whether artistically or venturing out to exciting places. Sometimes, the word 'I'm bored' pops into the day, and no matter how many things you buy to appease them, it is never enough. Still, that time of 'boredom' is essential for a wind-down or an excellent opportunity to practice mindfulness and recharge and relax to stimulate the mind creatively. I understand much better now that they learn best through creative activities and imaginative play. As an entrepreneur, transformational business and life coach and writer, creating a space and environment for adding value through offering engaging, motivating and stimulating products and services that bridge the gap is a passion and dream. ABOUT LEARN REIKI: Anna Rose has been teaching Reiki in Bristol since 2005, and has taught many hundreds of people on her unique transformational 12-week Reiki courses at St Paul’s Learning Centre in the heart of Bristol. For 7 years Anna taught these life-changing Reiki courses for Bristol Council’s Adult Learning Service, helping people on low incomes who faced physical, mental or emotional health challenges. Always described by students as a gifted and inspirational teacher, she gained a huge reputation in Bristol for her exceptional Reiki courses. When Council budget cuts forced the closure of local community classes, Anna’s students begged her to go on teaching so they could finish their courses. She agreed, and LEARN REIKI was born, as Anna continued to teach her Reiki courses at St Paul’s Learning Centre. Anna’s courses were usually oversubscribed by word of mouth recommendation, as people travelled from all over the city and further to join. Friends and family noticed the life affirming changes in our students, and hearing the secret of their transformation naturally wanted to learn this amazing skill for themselves. Anna’s policy is never to turn away anyone who wants to learn Reiki, because she knows people are only brought to Reiki when the time is right. So she had to run additional classes each term to meet the demand. In 2018 she decided the answer was to train other people to teach her transformational Reiki courses, so she began training Reiki Masters in the Anna Rose Reiki School. Today we have a thriving Reiki School with professional experienced teachers trained by Anna to teach her Reiki Level 1 & 2 courses just as she teaches them, using exactly the same techniques, resources and materials. All our teachers have spent over 2 years training to teach Anna’s unique 12-week Reiki programs, and learnt Reiki with us as students themselves. Now Anna personally trains our most advanced Level 3 students on the 1-year Reiki Master Chakra Course, supervises the training and development of our excellent teachers, and runs the Reiki School. We are a pioneering community-led learners' co-operative focused on improving the educational, physical and social well-being of children and families contextualised within family and community empowerment. We are commonly known as uLearn Naturally Learners' Co-operative. We are an umbrella organisation serving collectives with assistance in forming Abundance Centres Member Trusts. We also work to build various kinds of educational infrastructure to support our Member Trusts and the general public. These infrastructure works are mainly related to our Home-School-Knowledge Exchange project and our emerging uLearn Naturally Media Services. In general the objectives of the Trust are to carry out activities which benefit the communities of UK and members of the Trust in regard to community engagement, family directed learning and personal development in the realms of education, well-being and social networking. In particular, our mission is to establish and maintain centres of service with the principles and general intention of bringing about better community engagement, creativity, cross-curricular learning and/or unified ways of coming to know that which specifically enables and enriches the learning of the sciences and maths through the arts, intelligent play and the dissemination of wholistic (nature-centric) pedagogical (learning) practices. After his degree, he worked as a teacher of Science in Blackheath Bluecoat C of E School, also became deputy of the department. Dr Ajeleti undertook his teacher training at Canterbury Christ Church University, obtaining Qualified Teacher Status. He received the grade ‘outstanding’ for his role as a teacher, and this was recognised by Ofsted. During this time, he was still determined to pursue a career in medicine, graduating from the Medical University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland. Dr Ajeleti graduated at the top of his class and is currently training in the London Deanery. Raised in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Dr Ajeleti has made it his duty to encourage young people to get involved in medicine and other healthcare professions. As the co-founder of Modern Day medics, he aims to help prospective medical students from BME backgrounds to reach their full potential. He was also a recipient of the Beany scholarship for the best final year OSCE result. In 2012, he was recognised as a one of the top 100 future leaders and at University, he sat on a number of society committees as well as co-founding Inspire the youth CIC. After medical school, he undertook his foundation training in Trent deanery and core medical training in South London. During his junior doctor training, he served as a regional representative for foundation doctors and he was a clinical guidance associate at one of his local hospitals. He is currently a gastroenterology trainee in Kent, Surrey & Sussex deanery where he sits on the board for the culture and leadership change team. He is extremely passionate about seeing young people achieve their potential and dreams and with Modern Day Medics, he plans to achieve this.

Body conditioning (strength exercises) is a great way of improving your cycling. Whatever the season and whatever the weather, you can always do some strength and conditioning training to help you improve your performance on your bike. Let’s take a look at different exercises that are great for cyclists. Menu – The exercises What do you need to do? Exercises with bodyweight Exercises with weights Final thoughts The exercises: Burpees: use the whole body and improve power Leg lifts: these target hip flexors as well as abdominal stabilizers that help smoothen your pedalling. Planks (and variations of them): these improve your core strength and thus make you more efficient on your bike. Lunges: These help with all of the major muscle groups in cycling including calves, hamstrings, quads and glutes. Weighted exercises: kettlebell swings, renegade rows, front squats and single-leg deadlifts are all really useful for improving body condition. What do you need to do? If you’re wanting to improve your cycling and aren’t already doing conditioning and strength exercises, this is a big thing you can do to see improvement. Since cycling uses only one leg at a time, it needs repeated forces and is largely an aerobic activity. Cyclists also need to have endurance and a strong core. Lots of activities address these requirements but there are some that, when combined, are ideal for cyclists and their bodies’ needs. The best thing to do in terms of strength training is to choose exercises that have a similar movement pattern to cycling both with the lower body and the upper body. It’s also important to increase muscular endurance and core strength. What you want from body conditioning is to have a strong support system for when you’re cycling. The stronger you are aerobically, the better chance you will have of staving off fatigue in races and you will have more power potential. The following exercises use dumbbells and kettlebells. If you’re unsure of weight, see what you can manage. If you are unable to complete the set number of reps, lower the weights.
