Be able to assess an incident. Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally. Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally. Be able to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking. Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding. Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock. Be able to manage a casualty with a minor injury. Who should attend? This qualification is for people who deal with first aid at work enabling them to be workplace emergency first aiders under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This qualification is also for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic first aid to people in a range of emergency first aid situations. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and also includes 1 theory/multiple choice question paper. First Aid Trainer - Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Courses - delivered at your place of work

The qualification is aimed at learners already working or preparing to work in industry that is identified within the company's risk assessment of First Aid. The qualification has a recommended course duration of 2 days; however the course duration may be increased to meet additional learning needs if required but not reduced.

3 Day First Aid Description: The full 3-day First Aid at Work Qualification is nationally recognised. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations. This qualification is valid for three year, after which delegates need to complete a 2-day refresher course. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and care of the unconscious requires physical effort. Learners should be capable of working with casualties at floor level. Learners receive a First Aid at Work guide book, a training dressing and a CPR barrier protection device. The HSE strongly recommend that all First Aiders undertake annual refresher training of at least 3 hours per year.
