We offer fully accredited IRATA Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 plus refresher training courses in established, fully equipped facilities at CATCH (Centre for the Assessment of Technical Competence Humber). This facility, based in the industrially rich region of the Humber, provides a safe and authentic site environment with full-scale equipment for experiential learning and development. From these world-class training facilities MCL deliver practical, onsite-based training to members of the oil, gas and renewable industries, construction, stage and theatre rigging, theme parks and many more. Existing valeters and detailers confident in their skillset's reflection of Level One's content may also qualify to bypass to this level, should they be able to demonstrate their qualification by purchasing, taking, and passing with sufficient breadth, our online Level One assessment. Machines introduced at this level include forced rotation dual action polishers, every inception of Dual action polishers, both in throw and size. Level 2 Workshop (F2F) Level 2 training builds on the knowledge you gained in Level 1 training. Content Level 2 training provides a practical learning session on how apply the Makaton Language Programme. The Level 2 Workshop builds on topics learnt from Level 1 training including; people, food, activities, objects and events. New vocabulary will also be introduced which is ideal for the school environment and work places. You will begin to learn more abstract concepts such as spatial locations, attributes, pronouns and actions. Duration Face to face workshops comprise of a minimum of six and a half learning hours. Workshops generally will take place over a full day of training. Entry criteria Participants must have attended Level 1 training. Study materials you will receive a Participant's Manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop. About the event We are pleased to be hosting a Doing History at University event for students and teachers in partnership with the University of Sheffield. The aim of the event is to introduce students to history at university, and how to make yourself stand out in the application process.  Sheffield University has one of the largest, most active and successful centres for teaching and historical research in the UK. It was ranked among the UK’s top three history departments for the impact and quality of its research, and its teaching is consistently rated as excellent. This one-day event will equip students with the tools to ensure that you have the best chance of studying history at the university of your choice.
