Perfect for those attending to used and re-sale vehicles, maintenance of higher use fleets, and dealerships delivering new cars which can arrive in need of a little extra work prior to handover. Get your valeting team to a professional standard to deal with minor paint defects, interior issues, and machine polishing work in-house - both hyper-efficiently and safely. The course day includes; Health and safety discussion and a run-through of vital inspections and checks prior to work. Advanced chemical and decontamination skills and knowledge. Pre-polishing preparation - clay bars, solvent cleaners and mechanical decontamination. Machine polishing skills, and the health and safety requirements for their usage. Interior odour removal and deep cleaning techniques. Stone chip and small area scratch removal and refinement. Please note: Stage 1 must be completed before Stage 2, though they can be booked on consecutive days. With the combined Stage 1 and 2 certification, attendees will be able to address various valeting requirements and can complete quite complex jobs efficiently, and satisfactorily in-house. This will reduce the need to call in specialists, and enhance vehicle turnaround times through greater workflow and competence. Claim back your costs! Paint Some Pottery With Your Friends! These adult-only painting sessions run every month 6.30-9. 30pm. Pay for your chosen seat/table inc studio fee, welcome drink, half a large pizza, salad and coleslaw, dessert, coffee & mints. Select an item of pottery to paint on the night (sold seperately) and enjoy your evening. Our studio team will be on hand to offer advice, tips and suggestions on techniques that may help you where you want it. These evenings are relaxed and friendly and the ideal opportunity to have some fun in a creative atmosphere! 😁 Please note once painted your pottery will be glazed & fired and ready for collection 7-10 days later. You are welcome to BYOB on the night (glasses and ice provided at no extra charge). If you have a big appetite & would like a full Pizza please add this on at checkout. Menu will be sent with Pizza & Dessert choices once booked. The Pizza's are from Monte Cristo, a local restaurant. Our relaxed and welcoming venue at 70-72 Blackburn Road, Accrington BB5 1LE is the perfect place to get in touch with your artistic side. Choose a bisque to paint and spend an extended session indulging in your imagination, painting to your heart's content. While you are painting, tea and coffee will be available throughout the session to ensure that you remain refreshed and energized throughout. At 12noon, we will provide our Artisan lunch box to enjoy in between painting sessions. Feel free to arrive and leave at your leisure, and spend as much time as you want on your masterpiece. A £20.00 per painter deposit is required to reserve your space and cover the session fee (the cost of the paints, glaze and firing), plus your lunch with tea and coffee. You will then have the option of selecting the item(s) you wish to paint. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to indulge in an extended painting session!

A fun creative workshop full of colour for any level and perfect gift! Just bring your keepsake along and discover how you will use Barbola to create your piece of art?  Barbola which was a popular technique found in the 1930's. You may have seen these beautiful vintage pieces? This technique was often found on mirrors, trinket boxes, fire screens and cigarette holders. It was originally made from gesso in the shape of flowers, fruit and leaves. On the day you will learn how to make your own flowers and leaves using moulds and how to make your piece have the charm of the 1930's! We will need any dietary requirements as a luxury cream tea lunch with a pot of tea or fizz will be served.. whatever you prefer! This one day event includes small items for you to work on and materials to create and paint your Barbola like acrylic paints. You can also choose from the whole range of paint from Sophie James Decor. If you already use machines for correction work, it's an opportunity to reset your skills, pick up practical tips and advice, and increase your efficiency with either a different style or one you have used, but were never comfortable with. Develop your technique in a controlled scenario and the ability to make mistakes and learn, with instructor-led training selecting from a huge range of machines, and become proficient in machine polishing all types of surfaces. Learn defect assessment and solutions, lighting, compound technology, machine handling, and efficiency tips for professional results. Our one-day introduction to machine polishing for professionals course is ideal for those who have either; Have never needed to pick up a machine before Have always used only one type of machine Have restricted themselves to entry-level machines and basic techniques, and are now looking to upgrade or improve on a specific style; be it rotary, long throw DA or forced drive. Machines covered on these days could include the Rupes LHR 15/21, Flex XFE, XCE, rotary machines from sleek Flex PE14, through to heavier Makita models, and a further selection from over 23 machines we hold in-house or any machine you choose to bring yourself - just let us know on the day what you would prefer to concentrate on. For those already holding some experience who want to try their hand with different machines whilst improving overall techniques we also run this as a one-day Intermediate course with Flex, or for an overview of several machine types you can look at our Advanced Machine Polishing course over two days. Introduction to Machine Polishing doesn't just concentrate on the hardware though. Also covered in the course are: Surface defects and contamination. Efficiency and productivity methods. Preparation and decontamination stages. 'Reading' the paint. Defect identification. Paint thickness measurements using Magnetic Resonance, Eddy Current, and Ultrasonic gauges. The 'Polish/Don't Polish' decision. Introduction to Pad and Compound types and selection. Finishing techniques. Dressing, Sealant/Wax choices, and presentation.
