My name is Jackie and I'm excited to be sharing this class as an opportunity for you to learn about how we can support our Health and Wellness naturally, the opportunity to live a toxin free life, both topics are increasingly becoming a loving priority for our families. This workshop has been designed with the necessary information you need to start your wellness journey and know that I will be there to support you with any questions you may have. I use these oils daily, they are an effective plant-based solution and support and boost my hormones and my menopause, immune response, support my body to heal both from a physical and emotional perspective, whether these are feelings are from stress or anxiousness. Immerse Medical are experienced at teaching first aid to young people within the educational sector. We have designed this workshop style programme specifically for those in KS3/4. The sessions are fun, engaging and focus on fundamental life saving skills. Using interactive gamification, students gain hands on experience, which they will draw upon in real life medical emergencies. These sessions are perfect as part of phase 2 of National Citizenship Service (NCS) and Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards. Key points Meets national curriculum secondary education guidelines– We’ve designed this programme to exceed the requirements of the 2020 guidelines. Training by doctors, nurses and paramedics – We have years of experience working on the front line of emergency medicine; giving us real world knowledge and skills in managing injured or unwell people. Latest equipment & technology – We utilise technology enhanced learning to provide a realistic opportunity to practice fundamental life saving skills in a safe environment. More than first aid – While participating in this workshop young people will also develop their ability to work as part of team, communicate effectively and think critically in high pressure situations leading to an overall increase in personal confidence. Discover the golden art of Kintsugi. The perfect answer to fixing or upcycling sentimental pottery. Whether it's your favourite cup or your Nan's best vase, during this uplifting pottery workshop, we'll take you on a step-by-step journey to fix or upcycle pottery using gold metallic lacquer that is visible and beautiful. Loosely translated, Kintsugi means 'golden joinery' that highlights your object's events rather than disguises them. It can also be seen as a variant of "Waste not, want not".  All materials and tools are provided to fix one piece of ceramics per person across 1.5 hours. You can bring your own broken pottery or we have some pottery ready for you to upcycle and take home. You don’t need any experience, as your guide will be on hand with plenty of one-to-one support, letting you switch off from the world to focus entirely on yourself and follow your mind, body and spirit during the session. At the end of this Kintsugi class in London, you'll have a beautiful piece of pottery, along with a new skill to continue developing in your own time! This person is then given the opportunity to “make up” for their inappropriate behaviour through agreement and reparation. An intervention can involve a formal conference, or it can be a simple conversation on a corridor or playground. Restorative Interventions work with all ages of young people, and the techniques can be used in parental meetings, can prevent exclusions and challenge poor behaviour. Our feedback tells us that when problems between young people are addressed in this way, those problems rarely reoccur. RYA Competent Crew or Day Skipper - £770 A five day practical course which can accommodate both Day Skipper and Competent Crew candidates, depending on ability and course requirements. We familiarise you with the yacht and spend the week port hopping whilst you gain experience and work towards your qualification. Competent Crew - An ideal way to develop your skills and to start to become an active crew member capable of contributing to the running of a boat. Course content includes learning how to steer the boat, what the sails do, knot-tying, basic seamanship principles and safety procedures. Day Skipper - Putting Day Skipper level theory into practice and taking command of both the boat and crew, you will also learn learn basic engine checks. This includes building on previous experience and developing new skills for close quarter manouevring, handling under power and sail, day navigation, with some night hours.   RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster™ Preparation - £770 A five day practical course for Coastal Skipper or preperation Yachtmaster™ candidates, this course will build and refine your skills and knowledge, including your planning and skippering for passages with pilotage at day and night, boat handling and safety and emergency procedures. If you are looking to gain the Yachtmaster™ Offshore or Coastal Certificate, please let us know and we will arrange an examiner for you. We cannot over emphasise the need for personal preparation for this exam; your theory knowledge should be instinctive and you should exercise safe practices and judgment without being too overcautious. Primarily you will be examined on your ability to be a good skipper. Our emphasis during this course is consolidate all that you have already learned and fine tune any areas that need improvement. You will be expected to be fully skilled in the following areas: communication with crew members, confident and competent boat handling, high standard chart work and navigation, safety briefings and procedures, radio communication, meteorology skills. Our current school boat is the modern 2017 Dufour 382, a fantastic boat to learn and develop your knowledge on; with her spacious deck layout,dual helm and on-deck plotter, she is easy to handle in close and open quarters.
