This hands-on workshop is designed for those who have attended the Beginner’s Guide to Photographing Jewellery, or those who have some prior experience in photography.We will begin by creating mood boards, which will serve as inspiration for how you approach photographing your work. We will then explore a range of lighting styles and techniques and how to achieve them. There will be plenty of opportunity to practise these techniques throughout the day, with Cathy giving guidance and feedback. You are welcome to bring some of your jewellery, together with any props or stands, as well as any photographic equipment you may have (you can use either a camera or a phone, and a tripod is highly recommended). This is a lovely craft to learn and uses up worn out sheets, duvet covers etc that we tend to throw away. We will be cutting these up into strips and learning the technique of BRAIDING-IN. You’re welcome to use a phone camera or SLR/mirrorless camera, as you prefer, and to bring with you any other photography kit or props you may have, although this is not necessary. If you love getting hands-on and want to tune into your creative side, come along to this London candle making experience!  During this relaxed and friendly craft class, your friendly teacher will guide you as you learn the art of candle-making using vegan, cruelty-free, locally sourced materials. Set in vibrant Shoreditch, your teacher will take you through the process before letting you put your skills to the test as you create your own 6oz scented soy wax candle. Complete beginner? Don't worry, your teacher will be there to help and support you throughout!  Refreshments and tasty cupcakes will also be provided throughout as you master your new skills and soak up the scent of your candle creation. In the class you can either work on a small flower brooch to finish in the session or you can make a start on a cushion cover to complete at home. Price includes all materials, tuition, and light refreshments. Plus you get to keep your hook to continue your rag rugging at home.
