M7e Community Interest Company

m7e community interest company

As of 2018, 13.7% of primary school children attending state schools are eligible for free school meals. In sponsored academies this rises to 21.3%. According to school leaders, the financial support of pupil premium (PP) has replaced other revenues of funding, with the schools becoming increasingly stretched with its resources. An Ofsted survey into PP funding found only a third of the revenue was being used to help subsidise educational trips despite the benefits being huge for the children. M7 Education CIC tackles the problems of funding by providing free school trips to PP children and their classes. One stumbling block for teachers has been finding the extra time organising these trips. M7 Education CIC also removes this barrier by organising these trips on behalf of the teachers. We will also provide lesson plans and ideas for teachers to use based around the educational trip. This will allow schools to allocate PP funding towards other educational purposes. Furthermore, it will help teachers to allocate their time into creating thoroughly engaging lessons. What is different about our approach? M7 Education CIC provides a holistic approach to the issue of educational experiences. Not only will the trip be paid for, but the teachers will receive support and documents to minimise the planning needed for each trip. Lesson ideas will be sent to teachers as well as example lessons for free. Each experience will be related to the curriculum that the class will be learning either at the time or the term following the trip. This level of experiential learning has been shown to have great benefits for the children and the approach M7 Education takes in order maximise learning is what separates our approach.

These placements relate directly to learners’ aims and provide good workplace experience • teachers use their professional skills and knowledge well to help learners relate their studies to the world of work and gain employment or promotion • staff, at all levels, create good partnerships with a range of agencies. They use these partnerships well to help learners develop a range of useful skills • leaders work well to create, and monitor the effectiveness of a curriculum that meets the needs of learners and the local community.

My WordPress BlogWhat is Sustainable Performance? Sustainable performance is about building up your energy, and your resources, over time, instead of burning out, missing family time, or feeling misaligned with your values, or anything that matters to you. It’s about making small steps but regular progress towards your goals to attain a stronger sense of achievement & contentment overall. Sustainable Performance is about knowing yourself and letting your biology and uniqueness work for you rather than against you. SIGNUP FOR NEWS Emotional Safety in Business Unhappy employees lead to unserviced customers and unrewarded investors. Gallup – one of the biggest management consulting companies – identified in their study in over 142 countries this dreadful correlation between 👉performance, engagement & well-being👈 87% of workers report low engagement, low well-being & low performance. This translates into 1.2 billion disengaged workers around the globe. This has had a direct impact on employees’ ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment, on their capacity to find creative solutions and anticipate forthcoming events. Lack of engagement impacts the overall team dynamics, productivity and capacity to care for each other. It also potentially increases misunderstandings, frustrations and conflicts. The live Q&A sessions Each week we cover one of the key elements of Sustainable Performance, with the purpose to reverse the vicious circle of low engagement, low well-being & low performance, into a virtuous uplifting one. The calls are limited in number so everyone has a chance to talk & make progress towards their goals (aka get more things done) whether it’s unlocking their performance at work, saving time for family, or anything else that matters to you really. It’s also an opportunity to help other participants or get inspired by them 😉 Weekly live calls currently take place on Mondays.

As Chair of Governors at Blythe Bridge High School & Sixth Form, I would like to extend a warm welcome to those of you visiting our website. The governing body is involved with school life at many levels, ranging from ensuring that support functions (finance, premises management, health & safety) are completely aligned with the strategic vision of the school from a quality of education perspective, to sharing in the successes of the many talented students through Governor Awards and community events. I am incredibly grateful to my fellow governors for voluntarily devoting so much of their time and effort to the school community. Our governing body comprises elected representatives from the local authority, staff, parents and members of the community and the combined experience, skills and knowledge is vast. The job description for governors is clear, set the strategic direction of the school, hold school leaders to account for improvement and ensuring that the school budget is spent appropriately. As such, much of our time is spent working with Mrs Johnson and the senior leadership team to continually review and refine the quality of our provision through our subcommittee meetings. If you are reading this as a prospective parent, I encourage you to spend time to look through our website, the weekly newsletters and at our pages on social media platforms, our core values of pride, respect and kindness permeate every page or post. If you are reading this with an interest in becoming a school governor, please email the clerk to governors, Mrs Mitton, n.mitton@bb-hs.co.uk to arrange an informal conversation. We are so proud of our school and would welcome the opportunity to show you around and talk to you about the role of governors at BBHS. The revival is underway and now it is time to get you back to the flight deck and return to the office with unrivalled views of rivers and mountains. It’s time to dust off the cobwebs, brush up and rebuild your confidence to ace your next sim check or valuable airline sim assessment. Colours Of Dance

Cambridge

Colours of Dance was established in Cambridge in 2010 by Imogen Knight, who initially offered ballet, tap and modern classes in Fulbourn and Great Wilbraham. Miss Imogen went on to settle the school into a 'home' of Cambridge Dance Studios in 2012. Joined now by nine other teachers, (see Teachers - Bios), Colours of Dance offers classes for all ages and abilities in Ballet, Tap, Streetdance, Modern & Contemporary, as well as Pilates (see Classes - By Type). We are very proud of our growing school, of the joy in the room at show time, of the results our students achieve in exams, and of our growing band of talented alumni who have gone onto vocational training at some of the foremost dance schools in the country. Colours of Dance has had to pause classes in Great Wilbraham during Covid, but hopefully we will return. However, we remain deeply committed to keeping up an outreach programme from the Studios, and as part of this, we work closely with several local schools, assisting with their own provision of dance classes & clubs, as well as running classes from their premises. The Cambridge Dance Studiostudio-1-rev.jpgs have proper dance floors and full-length mirrors, and provide a professional-standard dance environment for all our students - every week! Through the recruitment of and cooperation with other teaching and dance professionals, we have developed a busy and friendly dance community. footloose.jpg At Colours of Dance, we love teaching dance to all ages, from 2 through to adult. We believe that all dance classes should be taught safely by qualified, inspiring, dedicated and experienced professionals who work together as a team to nurture, support and develop all our students, so that our classes are appropriately challenging, fun and creative. We love working with students who come once a week equally as much as those who would like to come more often and perhaps work towards exams or a career in dance. Led by our Principal, we also nurture young or aspiring teachers, supporting and mentoring them while they undertake training to achieve national qualifications and teacher registration. If you have any queries or you don’t see a class suitable for you or your child, then please do get in touch anyway, as there may be something in the pipeline, or a suitable alternative.
