Suitable for complete beginners Age 15 plus Join Lynne from Pots of Magic to create your own ceramic Greenman plaque . During this 3 hour workshop you will be guided through each section using basic hand building and sculpting techniques . During the first 90 minutes you will sculpt and form the face ,with the opportunity to create your own unique character . There will then be a teabreak before you add the foliage to your Greenman Foliage will be provided however if you wish to personalise your plaque using leaves from your own garden please do not hesitate to do so . (Please note leaves are rolled into the clay to leave an imprint then cut out .therefore leaves with veins give best results ) Once finished your clay creation will dry out slowly for 2 weeks before under going its first kiln firing . Once bisque fired it will then be professionally glazed by Lynne and enter the kiln again for its final firing . Your final piece will be ready for collection 4 to 5 weeks later from Ainsdale . Join us in the studio for this lovely Autumnal pottery workshop. You will have opportunity to make a trio of small leaf themed dishes - they are perfect for jewellery and would make fab Christmas stocking fillers if you can bare to part with them ! This relaxed and easy workshop is suitable for complete beginners (age 16yrs upwards) Demonstration and instruction throughout will enable you to create you own style of dish. You’re work will left with us for the kiln firing and glazing process.

Create a pair of beautiful tealight holder to brighten up your home or to give as lovely gifts. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners. There’s no glass cutting or previous skills required. You will have the opportunity to create your own tealights, starting with a blank piece of glass and decorating them using a selection of accessory glass, including frit, stringers, glass dots and enamels. Your work will be fired and shaped in the kiln, returned and ready to collect appropriately 2/3 weeks later. All materials and kiln firing are included.

Fused Glass Workshop – Set of Trinket Dishes I want to share my 15+ years of experience with you. This fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop Create a set of 3 mini dishes, a perfect size for a tealight candle or to store your earrings and rings. Make for yourself of to give as gifts. Explore two different design/construction processes and use precut tiles, rods and frit balls to create your designs. Can’t make the workshop? Still want to make your own fused glass dishes, check out my simplified (but still sparkly) make at home kit. Explore a little in this short fused glass taster workshop and learn a little about how the kiln firing to 800 degrees c changes the raw/pointy pieces of glass to a have smooth, shiny finish. Simply complete your designs during the session and leave them with me at the studio for me to fire twice, once flat and once into the bowl mould. We will make arrangements to pick up a few weeks later or I can post your finished piece at cost. I will talk through all the Health & Safety in the session but I want you to know now, you will be handling precut glass pieces, they have pointy ends but with the right handling, they won’t hurt you. Recommended for ages 10 and above, all under 16s to be accompanied by a paying adult. Bookings and cancellations Bookings – If you can not attend a workshop, for what ever reason, please contact Stevie as soon as possible. If this is not possible and your cancellation has been more less than 21 days in advance of the event, a refund can be offered. If your cancellation has been made less than 21 days before the event and you can not transfer onto a future date, every effort will be made to fill your place, from further advertising and/or the reserves list. If your space can not be filled by another attendee and you are unable to arrange a replacement yourself unfortunately, no refund can be offered.
