As well as teaching kids from as young as 7 I even pick up from where others have left off and offer help and support for school students studying SQA exams or adults preparing for College / University auditions. I cater for all levels and understand some students enjoy learning just for fun. InTune Music Tuition is based in West Lothian, in the central belt of Scotland, in which most of my clients are situated. Lessons are held at my Music Studio teaching space where I use pro equipment and up to date repertoire to help students progress. Children who attend Stage Skool take part in Singing, Dancing, Drama or Acro classes on a weekly basis at our Bathgate Motherwell or Edinburgh Studio's. The Rose Arts London was always a childhood dream of mine and it was manifested through a pain in my life, with the loss of my Grandad; Charles Alexander Gardner. He, alongside my Mother and Nan, supported me with my dance and drama training, performance career and attended all classes, auditions and performances. When he passed away, it pushed me to embrace my artistry and passions. The Rose represents three things: A dedication to my Grandad; His favourite flower A name influence; My middle name Rosetta and my mother Rosemarie The flourish of each child who trains with us. As a seed they begin but as ‘The Rose’ they grow. Experience My training began at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and have been training in every discipline, since the age of 3 and teaching dance and drama since the age of 14. Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Liturgical, Street Dance, Jazz, Commercial and Musical Theatre. Further to this, I attended college studied Performing Arts, obtaining distinctions in the art form, allowing me to receive an unconditional offer to University, where I obtained my degree in Dance Practice and Performance. Mrs Hyne is also trained and qualified in the ISTD Syllabus (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing), which enables children to be put in for ISTD examinations. The school has been established for 8 years now, and is continuing to grow successfully. BALLET (ISTD). AGE 3 – ADULT This beautiful classical art form is the basis and grounding of all Dance and movement. With its creative lines,artistic shapes and sheer strength, it is the main key to preparing the body to conquer all the other forms of Dance. MODERN DANCE (ISTD) FROM YEAR R- ADULT This is a more energetic, rhythmic dance style which was born in America before travelling worldwide. This is the form often seen in West End shows in the Musical productions and is known for its theatrical qualities too. These classes are structured, with set exercises and free work, which include isolations, jumps, and lyrical work. TAP DANCE (ISTD) YEAR R – ADULT This is where the dancer performs wearing special shoes which enable him/ her to strike the floor, beating out different rhythms to give a distinctive sound. This dance form is again found in Musical productions and is also a theatrical art.

I’m Julia and was born & raised in Berlin Germany and have moved to Liverpool to give singing lessons and to be part of the wonderful music community here. I am a singer, songwriter and highly qualified singer teacher & vocal coach and have a long teaching experience with teenagers and adults at music schools and in private singing lessons. I've been teaching singing for nearly 15 years, both privately and at music schools, and I'm regularly internationally on stage myself with my own music as a solo singer, or with other artists as a backing vocalist. I also work as a studio singer, composer, and conductor of choirs. I studied music education for vocals pop rock jazz at the University of the Art Bremen ('Hochschule für Künste', Bremen, Germany) and do regular training to apply and teach the latest vocal techniques. My last trainings were Complete Vocal Technique, Circle Singing and Inclusion Oriented Circus and Movement Education. Being an active singer and songwriter enriches my teaching, because I can teach you not only the techniques you need on stage, in the studio or when writing songs, but I can share my enthusiasm and love for the music with you. I have successfully prepared many singing students for auditions and competitions and helped them to win first prizes. Also, I've helped many students to pass the entrance exams at Colleges and University to study music. The Giles Foreman Centre for Acting is a dynamic professional acting studio based in Soho, in the heart of London; together with GFCA International Centres in Europe and USA. We are the leading Centre for Character Analysis. We provide distinctive, enjoyably rigorous and person-centred training for aspiring individuals and professional actors – taught by some of the leading acting, movement, voice, analysis, improvisation and camera-technique coaches available. If you choose to come to GFCA, we provide many ways to participate; regular part-time acting classes; short intensive workshops; one-to-one coaching; and 2-, 3- and 4-term full-time courses. Since March 2020 we have also embraced a wider, global community through online training, particularly in Character Analysis, Movement Psychology and advanced scene-study with Giles Foreman. People new to acting can discover the skills through our beginners’ classes and workshops, progressing onward part-time; or take our Foundation Acting ATCL Diploma over 3 terms (Saturday, and evening route). The 2-day Masterclass is taught by two amazing tutors: Kath Harman - Kath studied Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy in London, and her career highlights include performing with Dua Lipa at the Brit Awards, and travelling the world with Carnival Cruise Line. Emma Hatton - Emma graduated from LSMT and her big break came in 2009 when she made her West End debut - originating the role of Donna in Dreamboats and Petticoats. Following this triumph, she was cast in We Will Rock You as an understudy for the roles of Scarmouche and Meat. Emma has also played Elphaba in Wicked and has a variety of other on-stage credits. Whatever your experience level, this brilliant course will help you break out of your comfort zone in a supportive environment and walk away with an audition toolkit that you can use to start applying to further education or working in the industry. With Carolyn Pickles & Sue Dunderdale Introduction Over 5 full days, train with two industry heavyweights leading from the perspective of an Actor and then Director, as you unlock the skills required to develop real and convincing characters that enable engaging and cinematic performances. Through improvisation you will develop a scene to support your work over the week as you progress through a journey of taking a performance from theatre to screen, supported by a range of immersive techniques and critical direction from the tutors. This unique course is designed for drama school graduates, those in training, and professional actors seeking to enhance their skills. Please note that this course is not suitable for beginners. Meet Your Tutors Carolyn Pickles Actress Carolyn Pickles is an English actress of stage and screen with a career spanning over 40 years where she has led on award-winning British Drama including Broadchurch, Vera in addition to films such as Harry Potter. Working with Carolyn will give you the opportunity to tap into her experience and help maximise your chances of securing that next acting role. Sue Dunderdale Director Sue Dunderdale has an impressive background in the world of Theatre, Film and TV Directing. Her commitment to fostering both new talent and working with BAFTA award-winning actors underscores her versatility and dedication to the craft. Having coached and directed acclaimed actors such as Helena Bonham Carter and Clarke Peters, Sue has worked with BAFTA-winning performers, contributing to their success on screen. The Art of Cinematic Performance As the two tutors come together mid-week, Carolyn and Sue will allocate scenes from screenplays for you to work on and film to self-critically view in the pursuit of understanding the process as an actor. In the final two days, whilst rehearsing the scenes, Sue will focus on the life within the character that creates the tension/conflict in the scene. Discovering with you that it is important to know the lines of the scene so well that they can become the least part of the work. It is what lies beneath the lines that creates the quality of the performance and makes for interest on camera. Over the 5 Days you will learn the importance of sub-text, and how it supports the written text. Through intricate analysis and breakdowns, life experience, knowledge and exterior impacts will be explored to inject life into scenes and enable real thoughts and emotions in a character. These techniques can be applied in any role, big or small and enhance your capabilities in an actor when asked to self-tape or audition, giving you a more dynamic skillset often looked for by Casting Directors. Monday 22nd - Friday 26th July 2024 The Academy takes place in Cranleigh Arts Centre, around 20 minutes from Guildford.
