Day 2 of the Industrial Electrical Maintenance Part 1 consists of: 3 phase induction motors, synchronous and asynchronous Description of the component parts of a 3 phase induction motor Demonstration of how a 3 phase rotating magnetic field is produced and how to reverse it Explanation of synchronous and asynchronous speed and slip Effect of the number of poles on motor speed Frame sizes Practical identification of various motors. Day 3 of the Industrial Electrical Maintenance Part 1 consists of: Principles of 3 phase induction motor control systems Overload protection principles of operation and use Design and operation of a DOL (direct on line) starter Construction of a DOL starter Inspection and testing procedure for the above starter Motor testing procedures. GEOPACE LIVE BLOOD SESSIONS enabling you to draw human blood under 1-to-1 supervision of your tutor. You will follow a Competency Checklist, signed off by your tutor on completion.

On completion awards a Geopace Certificate of Competency - Nationally Recognised and Accredited Route to Competency - Live Blood Draws Certificate

How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

OR -

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. You have the option to add a classroom-based competency session, awarding a CPD Accredited Geopace Certificate of Competency, at time of booking.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 each) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. The equipment and supplies included in your kits are the same as those used if you choose the classroom option.

Please note - Competency Training
Our Route to Competency Masterclass - Live Blood Sessions can only be completed in a classroom environment. This is included when you book a classroom option. When booking the virtual classroom option you can choose to add this at time of booking. You will receive a voucher code to enable you to book onto any upcoming dates or locations. For most of our two day course we run our competency training at the end of the second day and therefore you should be able to complete your full training programme with us over two days.

Full instructions will be provided. We will send you a completely free Practise@Home Phlebotomy Training Kit, including a mini-arm trainer, for you to keep. You will follow your tutor's on-screen instructions during your Zoom virtual classroom sessions as you learn and develop your phlebotomy skills. The procedures and practices taught online are exactly the same as you would learn in the classroom. At any time before or after your course you can watch our 30 minute step-by-step video to refresh your knowledge and continue to use your training kit to practice your skills.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM (ZOOM) SESSIONS 
Our Virtual Classroom training course consists of online study (Part 1 - theory) and Virtual Classroom Zoom sessions (Part 2 - practical skill-set development)
You must complete your Part 1 online study before joining us for your Zoom session(s).
Once you have enrolled on this course you will be sent a free Practise@Home Training Kit, This is yours to keep and can be reused any many time as you wish after you have completed the course.
