I’ve been working with herbs for more than a decade. Initially it was a passion for learning more about the plants that grew about me through foraging and home herbalism. Then I began to focus on growing them when I spent a year working on the herb field at the Organic Herb Trading Company. Finally I trained as a herbalist at the Irish School of Herbal Medicine for 4 years, which included 600 clinic hours and an in-depth study of herbs, the human body and vitalism. I graduated with a Licentiate in Herbal Medicine and diploma in Iridology and Nutrition in 2017 and I am now in my 5th year of working as a herbalist in Fife. My previous background is in organic food production and I previously co-established and ran Meadowsweet Organics’ market garden in Falkland, Fife. My herbal business was previously called The Meadowsweet Herbal Apothecary in connection to the farm, and I grew lots of medicinal herbs for tea blends, wholesale and my own dispensary.
