Electric Vehicle Technicians have had access to certified training at different levels of competency for a number of years, but this has not been the case for Vehicle Dismantling Technicians until now. Vehicle repairers have been taught how to diagnose faults on Electric or Hybrid vehicles, make them safe, repair or replace the high voltage component and then put the vehicle back together and make them work. Vehicle dismantlers need to know how to assess Electric and Hybrid vehicles, store them properly, make them safe and dismantle them, store the parts and ship them out for re-use, repurposing or recycling, so the accredited and certified training for vehicle repair technicians met some of the criteria for dismantling but not all. Electric Vehicle Dismantling Training raises the professional standards of the vehicle dismantling and recycling industry, provides consistent training standards across the world, helps develop knowledge and understanding, enables team members to grow their own abilities, and achieve accredited training.

It is suitable for non-technical people working in roles such as: Valeters Parts Sales and aftersales It is also suitable for individuals working in roles such as: Vehicle recovery Vehicle dismantlers Vehicle damage assessors Electric/hybrid professional vehicle drivers.   LEVEL 2 AWARD IN ELECTRIC/HYBRID VEHICLE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES  This award is designed for technicians who maintain and repair electric/hybrid vehicles. It contains the skills and knowledge required to work safely around a vehicle’s high & low voltage electrical system and electric drive train system, whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance. As a result, learners successfully completing this qualification will acquire significant core knowledge and skills and the ability to work safely around and maintain Electric/Hybrid vehicles.   LEVEL 3 AWARD IN ELECTRIC/HYBRID VEHICLE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT The content of this qualification has been designed to give the learners the knowledge and skills required to work safely on Electric/Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities. This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy/electrical system. As a result, learners successfully completing this qualification will acquire significant core knowledge and skills, and the ability to remove and replace Electric/Hybrid vehicle high voltage components Entry Requirements The selection criteria for entry should take into account each applicants existing academic/vocational qualifications and experience. Level 1 EV awareness There is no eligibility requirement. Level 2 electric & hybrid vehicle training course Individuals will already have vehicle maintenance and repair knowledge and skills at level 2. Level 3 electric & hybrid vehicle training course Individuals will already have vehicle maintenance and repair knowledge and skills at level 3. The IMI Roadside Safety programme is a blended learning course consisting of an online learning package followed by a face to face training and assessment session. The course is aimed at Truck and Light Vehicle Tyre Technicians involved with working on the roadside and whilst not essential, we advise that candidates should have completed a recognised course in Heavy or Light Vehicle Tyre Fitting and possess good communication skills. Successful candidates will receive the IMI Quality Approved Award in Roadside Safety as well as the NTDA REACT Licence to Work on the Roadside. You can start your baby’s swimming journey as soon as you feel ready to visit a warm swimming pool. We have had babies taking their first swim at only four weeks old. The sooner you start swimming lessons for your baby the better their understanding and confidence in the water will be. Your baby’s first experience in a structured swimming lesson is a wonderful and gentle introduction to water sensory techniques. We will teach you how to be comfortable and confident holding, moving, floating and playing with your baby in the pool.
