The Highfield's Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, that all organisations must have adequate first aid provision. This 1 day course is suitable for smaller, low risk organisations who feel that the syllabus listed below meets the type of injuries common in your workplace and industry. This course covers the syllabus as laid down by the HSE.
One day per week The VTCT Skills Level 2 Award in Facial Massage and Skin Care is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide facial skin care. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a salon environment and how to promote client care and communications in beauty related industries. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services. The legislations referred to within this qualification apply to UK learners. For learners outside of the UK, you should familiarise yourself with legislations that may apply to you. Prerequisite There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification.

Qualitative Face Fit Testing is a method for checking that a tight fitting facepiece matches an individual’s facial features and can provide an adequate seal to the wearer’s face. This Face Fit Train the Tester course will provide those who require it, the knowledge of how to conduct face fit testing using the Qualitative method. If you provide respiratory protective equipment (RPE) to your employees or are responsible for Health and Safety within your organisation, then it is essential that fit testing is carried out correctly and documentary evidence is recorded to demonstrate the RPE is suitable for the wearer and has passed a fit test. Please note: even though these training courses are referred to as "train the trainer" they are only to provide training to allow the attendees to conduct Qualitative face fit testing, not to enable them to teach the subject themselves. Aims The aim of the Face Fit Train the Tester course is to train people on how to conduct face fit testing so that they can carry out their own face fit tests to a high standard.
