(6-7yrs) The syllabus is based on the ISTD grade however we do also incorporate an imaginative playful approach to the work to keep the Ballet fun. All technique can be boring and we don't want that! TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. (8-10yrs) Tap uses a different skill set to Ballet and Jazz as the emphasise is on creating rhythm and sound using footwork. Due to the nature of Tap, the physicality of the work is mainly focused on the legs, hips, knees and ankles and of course those tapping feet! Tap teaches a great sense of rhythm, timing and musical awareness. Level: 2 Duration: 1 year full-time Awarding Awarding Body: ACTIVE IQ Course Fees: Free Example Units and Structure Personal training with clients How the body works Developing self in an active leisure role How to Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle Understanding the active leisure and learning sector Anatomy and Physiology for exercise and health Entry Requirements 4 Grade 3s or above at GCSE, with at least a Grade 2 (at GCSE) or Level 1 functional skills in English and Maths. Demonstrate an understanding of sports at Level 1 standard. Learners must have a level of physical fitness that enables them to meet the physical assessments of the course.

Course Overview The qualification is designed for post-16 learners who want to study sports at university, or are interested in a career within the sports industry. It offers a solid foundation on the various aspects of sport that enables students to develop essential skills and knowledge for gaining employment or progressing to Higher Education. The qualification is split into two 1 year courses, and allows learners to gain up to a maximum of 168 UCAS tariff points – this Is the equivalent of three A* A levels.
