Building on the success of Zen Educate, in 2020 we launched Zen Locum — an online platform that matches locums (temporary workers) with pharmacies and opticians. With significant early traction we're looking to expand this team to continue driving growth. We're well-funded by high-profile investors and are led by start-up veterans behind two of London’s most prominent tech companies.

Classical Guitar Academy is Derbyshire’s premier classical guitar studio, specialising in the retail of the world’s finest classical guitars. We also run a highly successful classical guitar school, with pupils coming to us from all over the UK both in person and remotely to enjoy our lessons, workshops and performance classes. Our History In the beginning… Classical Guitar Academy was founded in 2015 by Ed Peczek. A student of the classical guitar for many years, Ed has been dedicated to the classical guitar since 1997. His passion for the instrument defined his formative years, attending lessons at Stafford Classical Guitar Centre with Adrian Copley and Selina Madeley. This enthusiasm for the classical guitar continued throughout childhood and it was clear from then on that the instrument would be central to his future. Ed Peczek Despite officially being founded in 2015, the idea for the business was formed many years earlier while Ed was studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As one of the UK’s leading music conservatoires, the provision of a superior programme of study was truly inspiring. However as a conservatoire, these classes were only available to students of the institution. Given that the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland only accepted two to three new students per academic year, the reach of this excellent programme seemed very limited. It was then, the idea for Classical Guitar Academy was born. The concept driving Classical Guitar Academy is the provision of a conservatoire standard programme of study to anyone and everyone who would like access to it. Classical Guitar Academy came into being during late Spring of 2015. Ed hired a room by the hour at the now defunct ‘Voicebox’ in Derby, teaching private lessons a couple days a week while juggling peripatetic work and other private lessons in Staffordshire. Despite some very long hours and a lot of driving between neighbouring counties, Classical Guitar Academy was starting to gain traction in Derbyshire. As CGA’s reputation grew, so did the business. By 2016, Classical Guitar Academy was in a strong enough position to support its own dedicated studio.

the steam workshop

The Steam Workshop was formed in 2013 by Simon, or should I say,..... me,.... who having spent the previous 10 years building his Chiropractic clinic businesses in the Chester area was keen to start a new business centered around his lifelong hobby and passion for model engineering and steam. Together with my friend John, (who at that time was working as a tool-maker pattern -maker), we bought a tired 3" scale Plastow Burrell traction engine. The intention was to re-build the model as a fun project and then to sell it on at a profit to see if a workshop business centered around model engineering could be made viable. John was also re-building a 5" gauge BR Britannia for a friend at the same time, and so those two re-builds (SW Rebuilds number 1 & 2) really set the foundations for what the company has since grown into. I've been playing trains from an early age. My grandad, Geoff Nicholson was well known in model engineering and steam circles, and familiar to many for his annual appointment at the Midlands ME exhibition where he would demonstrate 'dome bashing' and sheet metal work to the visitors in the workshop corner. Geoff was a lifelong and prolific model engineer, and I spent a lot of time both in his workshop and putting thousands of miles on his locos while he drank tea and chatted to everyone!

Managing Mountain Bike Trail Facilities: If you are managing a facility or want to learn about the design, build, inspection, and maintenance of mountain bike trails then I am only too happy to help. Through my work with the Association of Trail Builders (ATB) and years of first-hand experience on the job designing, building inspecting, and maintaining trail networks I can deliver ATB training courses in all areas relating to trails and their management. Artemis has developed and delivered fire and rescue-related training programs for over five years. Our aim is to help individuals thrive, and organisations grow and prosper.Having created and supported the University of Wolverhampton Fire and Rescue Degree programmes in 2010, Mark Taylor and Tony Prosser, Operations Command Lead & Head of Learning and Development respectively with West Midlands Fire Service, were invited in 2012 to take on the management of the course as an independent provider, a unique proposition in the UK academic community. To facilitate this Artemis Training and Development Limited (ATDL) was incorporated in 2012. Both have a passion for incident command and the Fire and Rescue Service and were subsequently invited to tutor and assess in the command school at the Fire Service College and the Emergency Planning College. The reputation of ATDL for having knowledgeable and committed instructors gained traction and the company was approached to deliver revalidation programmes for several fire and rescue services, a product that did not exist in the UK . Further product development led to a suite of Skills For Justice Awards accredited courses including ICL 1 – 4, Level 5 Train the Trainer for Incident Command, Fire Investigation and other courses including the new Command Support level 4 programme. In order to keep growing our output, associates have been engaged, all with suitable experience, qualifications and enthusiasm, to deliver our incident command courses and the University of Wolverhampton Degree programmes, now running 5 degrees – full time, part-time and distance learning both in the UK and across the globe.
